what makes this even crazier is that La Campanella is in a different key for piano vs for violin. This is why Ray looks so confused at the beginning...I don't know if this was acting or if he really didn't know until that moment...bc if he didn't know and just played it in a different key flawlessly for the first time off the fly, that makes it even more impressive....
thank you for your kind explanations for non-musicians to understand. i think they are God's angels sent to brighten the world. that's how i feel towards good musicians.
I can only play piano, but is switching keys on violin harder than piano? Just curious. I know that each string of the violin has its own tone range so I guess switching keys sometimes will make the performance much harder.
@@samwang1439 I also only play piano. Playing this in a different key on piano off the fly would be impressive too haha

@@samwang1439 I suspect that, under normal circumstances, both the piano and the violin are the staff set key, not the first key. Therefore, for people who are used to piano and violin, it will not change the key，we only play in the fix key
