This is so cool. Will be using this technique too. Very good demonstration. Met all the objectives clearly and visually. Thank you Christine. And now I also need to make this pillow.
I'm sure you've been told this before, but you are a great teacher. I have learned so much today, it's almost too much. Will be keeping this vid to watch again and again. Thank you so much and cheers from Australia
I learned so much from this tutorial! First, the batting in the binding--Genius!! Second, the 1/4 inch mark on the 1/4 inch foot!! How did I miss that-all these miles of binding? Third, I was hand stitching L-R, or more like top to bottom. I'm excited to try R-L. Fourth, I hope I can find that needle threader!! Thank you very much for making this video. I am getting ready to cut binding & batting strips, now! MD
Hi there - this is super cute. You videos are very informative. So informative I got inspired and purchased a Brother NQ 1600E for embroidery and doing edge-to-edge quilting. I see from your website you have many, many edge-to-edge quilting designs that are amazing. The most amazing group of designs are the designs that are in the Jumbo 1 expansion pack. My largest hoop has an embroidery area of 6 x 10. The designs in the Jumbo 1 expansion pack are for over 7 x 13 embroidery area - too large for my hoop. Do you plan to make Jumbo 1 available in smaller sizes? If so, when?
Since you have a 6” x 10” hoop. I would recommend reducing the edge to edge small file about 10%. This will give you more room when you connect the designs. As for the Jumbo 1 &. 2, we probably will not make them available for smaller sizes. Sorry.
It doesn’t look professional when you do it by machine, and my samples travel all across America to different shops, so they have to look professional.
@@AmelieScott ok - thanks. I looked on your site but must have missed it. Will look again. Thanks my friend! Now that I moved back to Illinois and it's cold, I am sewing more! lol I miss Texas.

Thank you for such a nice compliment!
Thank you, l enjoy watching all your tips and tricks. Your work is beautiful ❤
Great tutorial! Love the embroidery designs too! Thank you for sharing!
I have done binding for years and yours was the best description ever for meeting the ends. 😊
I love the tricks you show us, so helpful. Thank You. The pillows are beautiful.
Thank you for the lesson on how to do this! Very cool and I will be trying this out going forward!
That's pretty cool! I will have to try that on the pillows waiting to get finished. Thanks for the great idea.
Beautiful work and Great Instruction!

@@marciadaniels9788 I am so glad that you found it helpful, and thanks for letting me know. I appreciate that.
I'm with you, Christine, I enjoy hand stitching the binding down (most of the time). What an interesting way to do the faux cording!
I love that needle threader too. When I used to hand quilt, I could thread a size 12 between with that threader.
Love the idea of corded binding- thanks for sharing!
ME TOO!!!
Genius idea
It really makes a pillow!
Going to have to try this! Missed seeing Lexi at the end of the video today.
Sorry about that. We were trying to get the videos out quickly, and getting Lexi to show cuteness is sometimes a battle. She has a lot of attitude.
Where can I find part one to make the piping?
Christine, due to arthritis, I cannot hand sew binding anymore. Could I sew it to the a k, wrap to the fro t and use the Babylock binding foot?
Do you make the cover a 1 inch or 2 inch larger then the pillow insert to allow for the plump?
I make the front and the back 18” to fit an 18” pillow form. If I were to make it bigger, it wouldn’t be full.
Love your video, do you sell patterns for the Christmas pillows
Absolutely just go to our website. Www.ameliescott.com
Wow! That’s a great idea! Love everything including the fabrics and designs used. Please can you tell me where I can find the designs? 😍
We always encourage you to have your local quilt or sewing shop get the pattern for you, but we also have it available on our site. Ameliescott.com

What kind of needle threader do you have?
It is made by Clover, and it is called a Desktop Threader. I LOVE it!!!1
Why not stitch in the ditch instead of doing all of that by hand?
It doesn’t look professional when you do it by machine, and my samples travel all across America to different shops, so they have to look professional.
Will this design for the Santa pillows be available soon?
They are already out Katie and selling like hot cakes. YOur shop can order them through Checker or Brewer. We also have them on our site.

I found it and placed my order and it's downloaded. Thanks Christine! Love your stuff and can't wait to try the faux piping idea.
Very interesting but you lost me when you did the hand sewing which I don't like to do.
@@veronicamorrison193 All my binding is hand sewn to the back. Looks very professional that way. But each to their own!
