Scoresby is named after William Scorsby, but he's probably going to turn into something resembling Captain Ahab.
I dig the face-to-camera style of video. Seperates you from other Avatar news channels. I would suggest a snazzy background to keep it interesting! But obviously, all within your ability and income. It would be super cool to see the action figures or comics or posters lol
I will try - I don't have action figures or anything like that but I can try and rustle something up!

Great insight and I’m glad to have you back in a full video! So freaking hyped for these next 3 movies now that we know that they’re for sure coming! My guess is that Avatar 2 tops out at $2.2B before we get it in home releases. I do wonder if next maybe mid year we will get an extended version in theaters that fleshes out the scenes more because there were some that seem like they were abruptly edited. Also, it would help to hype up Avatar 3 even more later on in the year. This year can’t go by fast enough! At least we get Dune 2 to tide us over.

Love the idea surrounding the ash people - I really enjoyed the start of Quaritch's arc in the past two films and its interesting how we may see Na'vi parallels with this unseen tribe. Plus, a volcanic environment would be fucking stunning given the veriety and depth of places we've seen already. Hope your hunch is right about the early release date, I don't think I can wait another 2 years ;o;

I always knew A2 was just the appetizer! I'm on Team Zoe ... A3 is really going to deliver the goods.
One of the esoteric things I'm looking forward to as a Jim fan is Scoresby's new arm. Lightstorm did a lot of work on robotic limbs in Alita (which was very evocative of Uncle Bob's arm in T2) and I know Jim had wanted to do more with the scene where his endoskeleton is graphically revealed to Dyson ... who, by the way, is totally not a thinly veiled reference to Dyson Ido. 😉
Cameron used to film robotics shots at low angles to hide the practical effects puppeteers, and I'd imagine he probably wants to take cyborg augmentation to another level in the sequels with humans hastily adopting Ido-like enhancements.

I like this kind of format, but I think it's more professional to add more pictures and clip your speaking a little, so there are fewer breaks. But personally, this style works fine for me, and your information is, as always, extensive and well formulated :)

Hey nice channel, have you considered doing some dives into Cameron's past movies in terms of how they influence Avatar? i.e. Titanic feels very similar to Avatar 1 in terms of the romance, dreams (Jake going into his Avatar body, Rose going into the dream Titanic), and Leo actually saying "I see you" of all things.

I feel like the fight with the humans will be over by the end of 3, and then 4 & 5 will be the Navi fighting amongst themselves? This is where "good" humans could come in, to help the clans against a power-hungry clan destroying Pandora perhaps 🤷🏻♀️

I really don't feel that "The Seed Bearer" is a good title for Avatar 3; it seems a bit too pedestrian. I certainly hope that a different, more intriguing title is selected as the official name.

It's good to have this kind of video, especially if it means more frequent uploads. But do get some drapes on the walls or whatnot, very echo-y in that room there.
I dont think there is a chance that Avatar 3 will premiere this year. More likely 2025.
Disney has definitively confirmed the release date is December 2024. I highly doubt it will come out any earlier, since there is so much special effects work to do, and I highly doubt it will come out any later, since there is an untitled Star Wars movie scheduled for December 2025. December is always a big deal when it comes to releasing blockbuster films, so I imagine Disney would be reluctant to push Avatar into a less desirable release window.
