Don't use the FRAM filter, and you'll be fine. I had a problem with low oil pressure. I changed everything I could. Eventually the problem was solved only when I replaced the FRAM filter with one from ACDelco.
The motor is a v6 but when at your local auto part store tell them you have a v8 and they will give you the correct part for your vehicle. The R&R process will be the same.
I don’t think it will cause a misfire. You should check for any codes that will let you know if you have a misfire or start looking at your spark plugs and wires
I have a v6 2002 envoy, runs fine if I'm going fast or gunning it past the 2 on the rpm gage. If I come from a stop or bumper to bumper slow traffic, the engine spudders and vibrates but it's easily surpassed by pressing the gas in more. I only have readings on the DID where the odometer usually is, and it says low oil pressure and then says stop engine. But it's been running fine for quite some time. Wondering if it's the same problem, but mines at an earlier stage? Mechanic said my codes read o2 sensor malfunctions and emissions problems with a code saying its running lean. Yes this sensor reads pressure from low to high
I have a problem with you stopping here. Other things have been reported to cause these unwanted readings. How do we know you fixed your issue?
It’s fixed been fixed for a while now
Thank this was very helpful
Thank you, I’m glad this video helped
Good job, bud. Thanks!
Thanks, subscribe if you haven’t already
PLEASE HELP! MY 2008 TRAILBLAZER LIGHT IS doing just what you are describing. I changed the sensor already. It is showing shut down engine.
HELP
Maybe you received a bad sensor from the store. If your still having the problem check your oil pump
I replaced mine and still have the same problem what else could be bad.🤔
Check your oil pump
Thanks from Russia👍
Thank you SO much!!!
I’m glad I can help, subscribe if you haven’t already
What size of socket it’s . Please
I think I said it in the beginning of the video I dont remember offhand
Don't use the FRAM filter, and you'll be fine.
I had a problem with low oil pressure. I changed everything I could. Eventually the problem was solved only when I replaced the FRAM filter with one from ACDelco.
What if its already switched and has still the same problem? 40psi to 0?
You should check to see if you have any leaks, check out your oil pump also. Does your car burn oil?
@@yaboycai9578 not at all but thanks for the advice I'll check it carefully
Good video thanks
Thanks
yoh what type engine is that probably 6cylinder I have a v8 are they the same for oil preasure sensor thanks
The motor is a v6 but when at your local auto part store tell them you have a v8 and they will give you the correct part for your vehicle. The R&R process will be the same.
What size is the socket to remove the sensor?
Pretty sure I used a sensor socket
Always thing all the cars in america they are clean no oil leaking scattered everywhere..
Would this sensor cause the vehicle to run funny and have a misfire?
I don’t think it will cause a misfire. You should check for any codes that will let you know if you have a misfire or start looking at your spark plugs and wires
Outstanding.
I did this and my oil pressure is still low. Is it my pick up tube or oil pump??
I’ll check the pump first
DOES YOUR TRUCK MOVE??

Most definitely
Idk what to do and neither does he. Oils full. Very confusing.
My vote is to replace the oil pressure sensor it’s giving the same symptoms my truck had before I changed out the sensor. Low oil pressure/stop engine light when coming to a hard/soft stop
Thqnk you for the insight and quick response
@@samueljensen302 what’s the update I. It having the exact problem with my gmc envoy
@@jacobstokes1900 good sir it turned out to be a coil was going bad and the spark plug had gone too. A half rate check from a mechanic had me thinking that wasn't it. But I just drove her all the way out to VA from FL and went to Ohio as well. She's running strong. My suggestion would be to replace all 6 if you're a v6 as well. And the plugs.
@@samueljensen302 I had a bad coil 02envoy and got a check engine and code to that effect , but no codes or lights about the oil pressure? Al new coils now , no codes and smooth engine , but suddenly same oil pressure symptoms - low oil pressure but ONLY - when idling , AND at full operation temperature . If revved hot or cold , or idling cold , no indicator lights or pressure drop shown .
I hope this work for my car.
thank you
