- How to make Collard Greens!
This recipe can be subsisted for mustard greens, turnip greens, or a mix of all three.
My collard greens are my family's favorite! They always request I make them! I've ditched the pork ham hawks and I make mine with smoked turkey ( a pinch healthier)! They are delicious! Pair them cornbread and you have yourself a treat!
Collard Greens Ingredients:
- Collard Greens Bundles (assume one bundle will feed two people)
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 2 Cartons of Chicken Broth
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- Black Pepper
- Olive Oil
- Hot Sauce
- White Vinegar
- Garlic Powder
- Seasoning Salt
- Bouillon Cubes (I prefer Beef)
- Smoked Meat (I prefer Turkey)

When we moved out of Detroit in 1984 down to Turkey Creek Florida there was this place called Mary’s country corner we got introduced to greens my mom talk to the lady who worked in the kitchen found out how to make them and she always use chicken necks my mom would add like seven of them to a pot and then strip the meat and then break the necks and half to get the bone miracle out I miss those days damn you got good videos making me want some good food I’m back in Michigan now the the only time I get good food is when I make it but again I would eat anything you would cook
