Ryan Bingham is such an amazing talent..I have both his albums and can't stop listening to them... Its nice to listen to music that actually has meaning....
Ive listened too Ryan's song's just song's, and obviously his voice and song writing are outstanding but this performance show's the man for an amazing musical talent, guitar player and gift too music lovers.
Thanks Tech. I think we're doing a pretty good job at KVET servicing a wide variety of country fans, and would also point out that Roadhouse is not a "Texas show" exclusively...it's more about style and substance than geography.
He is from New Mexico but attributes his musical style and the experiences he sings about to Texas. He got his start with LoneStarMusic based out of New Braunfels, TX.
LOL, kanewischer123! I know exactly what you mean. I was telling someone that this Crazy Heart movie, which is just now opening, will really make him well-known, and we will no longer have him to ourselves. On the other hand, everyone should hear his great music.
No need to rank the two. Both are coming from a genuine place and doing great things. Just passed 50,000 views on this video, thanks for your support everyone!
"on the border of Tijuana, people are growin truckloads of marijuana. maybe someday our friends will be American farmers" haha love that line btw just discovered this guy after crazy heart and i instantly got both his albums and play them non-stop. dave from philly
Gaslight Anthem are AWESOME. Bingham is great too. I love the titles name "dylans hard rain". Obviously a little tribute to Bob Dylan-Hard Rain. Love this guy. He's a great singer/songwriter. Good to have a new guy out there that can play and write. Noone will ever compare to Bruce Springsteen but it's nice to see some new faces making good music.
@AmurgAprins I totally agree. I listen to hip-hop, alternative, and indie mostly and I used to vow that I would never like country music, because it was all terrible with the exception of Johnny Cash. But this guy is just too good not to like, if more country was like this I could definitely get behind it.
I was wonderin how he'd censor that one lyric, "give him yo cash you sucker", I guess you gotta make it radio friendly. Ryan Bingham, Gaslight anthem, and the band, Nothington, are pretty much the only new music I listen to these days.
I think Knight and Bingham are 2 of the baddest mother fuckers around. I don't think anyone will ever surpass Knight's song writing but Bingham has a more exciting and a more marketable sound IMO. I think anyone can listen to Bingham: young, old, city folk, country boys...anyone. Knight really just appeals to people who can relate to his lyrics. A rich, city boy might not understand what "enough rope" or "william" or "heart of stone" is about but anyone can like "bread and water" or "other side"
If Ryan here had been singing forty years ago, he'd have a Scorsese biopic out now. Funny, though, how his music cuts even more because of all the fluff out there. Keep it up man!
@windrose777 How about Mr. Dylan's Hard Rain? (A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall, Bob Dylan) Not taking anything away from this song which is very cool, just thought you might want to have a listen to the song that inspired this one.
WoW! I hate to compare really I do, but that is awesome great sound. A little Bob Dylan is his music. Jakob Dylan Seeing Things was great too. Same style.
When I was young I had nothing invested in the world and I was very idealistic, liberal and full of angst. As I grew older I became more invested, less idealistic and more realistic, now I see more of how the world really is...
Great song, just wish Ryan had sung the true lyrics rather than clean it up ("give him your cash, you sucker") for radio... the dj could have been told to cover the particular line. It is Austin, at least.
I like his music but wondering about Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie and that whole vein of music. Is that his influence? To be honest, my politics have done a 180 and I no longer feel that way any more. I'm tired of apologizing for the USA. Just study history and you will find that every country in the world has skeletons in their closet. Why doesn't any one wonder why people come to our country? Mexico needs a revolution to get rid of one of the most corrupt governments in the world.
Ryan Bingham is such an amazing talent..I have both his albums and can't stop listening to them... Its nice to listen to music that actually has meaning....
This boy is quite possibly the most beautiful thing I have EVER seen......wow.
This is a great song. And just when I thought I couldn't like any new country artists, here comes Ryan Bingham.
The best version in my humble opinion.
I'm getting goobumps! Such beautiful music and lyrics. Ryan's voice is one of the kind and he is just gorgeous.
Ive listened too Ryan's song's just song's, and obviously his voice and song writing are outstanding but this performance show's the man for an amazing musical talent, guitar player and gift too music lovers.
can't get enough of this guy...all of his stuff is unreal
His music is pure. It comes from the heart. This is why, I love his songs..Keep it coming brother!!! He will be playing @ Bill Bobs, July 4th 2014..

Was just listening to this song on his cd this afternoon & had to run in & see if there was a video - there is! Five stars to the power of 10! ♪
Thanks Tech. I think we're doing a pretty good job at KVET servicing a wide variety of country fans, and would also point out that Roadhouse is not a "Texas show" exclusively...it's more about style and substance than geography.
I love him!!
I'll second a previous comment... WOW... just wow! Oh and more acoustic vids would be much appreciated!
He is from New Mexico but attributes his musical style and the experiences he sings about to Texas. He got his start with LoneStarMusic based out of New Braunfels, TX.

Way to be, Ryan. Terrific stuff...

Damn...wish I had thought of that. You are a genius.

The of the Best Godoy bless Ryan!
how do all of his songs not go number 1. oh yeah its cause he hasn't sold out
Most people don't wanna hear real music sadly
bravo

dontmesswithbill23: Great comments. I totally agree. LOL about Dave Matthews! I do like him when he's with Tim Reynolds, though.
This guy's the real deal.

I almost don't want to let his name get out...just to keep his music to ourselves...
@rawthar haha YES! Fucking love Nothington too!
one problem he's not from a long line of tx he's from new mexico
The new era of outlaws.
If Ryan here had been singing forty years ago, he'd have a Scorsese biopic out now. Funny, though, how his music cuts even more because of all the fluff out there. Keep it up man!

@ericdxx There is a 1/4 " cable comming out of the guit. No need to mic it. This cat could play in an alley in the rain and I would go.
@rawthar The Gaslight Anthem are one of the greatest new bands.
everything stays the same if you don't change it
@ericdxx
It's not a singing-microphone. This one has a higher range.
WoW! I hate to compare really I do, but that is awesome great sound. A little Bob Dylan is his music. Jakob Dylan Seeing Things was great too. Same style.
@n0072687 no shit man give the man what he deserves!
You mean "is real". :-)
Chris Knight
When I was young I had nothing invested in the world and I was very idealistic, liberal and full of angst. As I grew older I became more invested, less idealistic and more realistic, now I see more of how the world really is...

@fmtigers I have to disagree with you that, I think Chris Knight is way better, but hey to each his on...I like both though.
@dewq17 Then you haven't seen me...
Great song, just wish Ryan had sung the true lyrics rather than clean it up ("give him your cash, you sucker") for radio... the dj could have been told to cover the particular line. It is Austin, at least.
@fmtigers both great singers though, you have to admit.
he sounds like he should eat a cough-sweet.

I hate reality TV also.
