- Finally a high resolution brushless drone with a built-in processor for electronic image stabilization. No mechanical gimbal is needed. Records 4K video at 30fps, or 1080p at 60fps. Here's one vendor selling it bit.ly/B20EIS
Pros
- True 4K video camera with 30 fps frame rate. Also can record 1080p video at 60 fps.
- Dedicated onboard processor for electronic image stabilization. Works reasonably well to stabilize video without the need for a mechanical gyro stabilized gimbal.
- GPS for stable hovering and automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low battery. Low battery brings the drone to hover over the takeoff point, but will allow further flight within 100 meters of takeoff point until battery depletion (at which point it lands wherever it's at).
- Optical flow sensor for automatic hovering indoors, or outdoors if so desired.
- Brushless 2204 1620KV motors.
- 7.6V 3400mah provides over 22 minutes of flight time (I got 22 minutes 46 seconds).
- FPV range of up to 450 meters, and controller range of up to 600 meters.

- App also provides advanced capabilities of follow me, orbit position, waypoints, and headless mode. App also enables modifications of video and photo settings including resolution, brightness, saturation, special effects, ISO, and white balance.
- Drone can be flown without the app using just the controller if desired. Controller includes telemetry information screen providing drone and controller signal strength, remaining battery power, drone distance and height, GPS status, flight rate, and controller mode. Controller also provides buttons for automatic takeoff and landing, lights, camera pitch, photo and video shutter, return to home, arm and disarm motors, and GPS on or off.
Cons
- The app requires use of a phone with 802.11ac WiFi. Before purchasing, use Google to verify that your phone does indeed have 802.11ac WiFi (not everybody has such on their phone).
- The drone's low rate is very slow inboth horizontal speed and yaw (turning) rate. The intent is to aid processor image stabilization.
- Requires using at least a Class 10 SD card for 1080p 60 fps video, and at least a U3 SD card for 4K video. Expect severe frame dropping if you attempt to use a slower speed card.
- Weighs more than 250 grams. Requires registration in most countries. (MJX, for your next challenge... Make a drone with EIS that records to SD card, and still weighs less than 250 grams).

I will, unfortunately, miss the endless desert flights. Your You Tube videos would provide me with a degree of warmth during our way too long winters.
Moving to Penn means you will no longer be flying in the winter. I will truly miss the desert shots which provided me with the much needed escape.

Hello from Italy! I"d add a couple of cons to the (very weak IMHO) others:
-arm are not foldable and the portability is not good;
-the design is not particularly "inspired", it very traditional.
Apart from this I think MJX makes really good drones (for the price)...but (after a bug's 2 w - great!) now I'm in love with my Zino 1!
Same here, I've got 3 Bugs 3 pros but MJX doesn't have any 3 axis gimbal quad, what a shame. So I went for Zino.
Can't wait for the 6 feet of lake effect snow day flight testing videos.
Or flying over the lake edge Ice dunes.

Wow. MJX has finally made a drone with some a decent image stabilization sensor. Looks pretty good from the footage. Though it still has a tilted horizon and some lens ripples here and there, it is still a nice quad for the buck. I love the Bugs series of drones. Great job MJXRC! 👏🏻👏🏻
This is why I’m subbed, I been researching for some rc quads and u have been the one with the best reviews bc a lot of the videos have people with some bad quality cameras, no I’m not judging their cameras and also them, but I can barely see what they are showing

If you are buying this great drone I would caution you to buy the three spare batteries as the batts are sold out and are pretty hard to comeby. Bang is out of stock on them. The B20 EIS is a great drone almost as good as the mini. I have both.
do not fly it indoors without prop guards. Also stay away from iron or steel poles. The magnet in compass will get attracted to them. If you can get extra props. Do not fly on windy days 8 mph+ gusts. At altitude the wind could be cruising at 40 mph. You will find your drone flying into the wind floored and falling backwards. The wind at ground level is no indication of the wind at over 15'.
Whoa, can't remember the last time a Q101 video came up in my subscription feed or notifications. On the shores of beautiful lake Erie now, cool. This is my new favorite budget GPS drone. You can find some rebrands out on Amazon.

I saw this new Bugs the other day on one of the Chinese websites, and was wondering how the EIS would work. And after seeing your review I’m very impressed with how well it did. Not a bad drone for the money, it flew well and the camera was decent for the price. And welcome back to PA, it looks beautiful out in Erie. Just beware that it’s a long winter around here.

You're not that far away as I'm in the Rochester area. I'm only 3 miles from the Lake Ontario shoreline and we get a lot of wind. If you had to guess, how much of it would those brushless motors take? Your review is long, but it's because you're giving more information than most and I appreciate that.
finally mjx also made a good drone camera.

It's picture stability is beyond imagination, although it is different from the lens of ordinary drones, if the shape can be changed to a smaller and foldable, it should be better

This beginner drone has great stabilization for the money but the sensor still isn't great. if it had a better sensor or if we could upgrade it and put an good action cam on it then it would be a great drone.

You say it is a fake antenna on the remote controller, but, if you look close, you can see a thin wire running into the left ear.
That RTH was closer than my Phantom 4k can typically accomplish. I need to get out and fly my F100 again...
So many of these "lower-end" drones have such poor video because of all the shakiness thus making them useless as camera drone. This is the first lowend drone that produces good video and thus is worth purchasing. Kudos to MJX for adding EIS to their product. I think they have a winner on their hands if they can keep the price below $200.

great content ..please can you do slowly from start how and wot you do to safely program to make it fly for the first time.srj f11 pro did not show how to show the controls on phone app..i had to fumbell through app till i seen my mug on the phone..as i used to fly planes and hellicopters models lol 40 years ago no fancy apps ect now i got my pension my hobby juices are flowing again with 6 new drones my latest being the one your reviewing as its docile as a snail..thanks a millian for your shows of exerlence..ken.G.B.CORNWALL

Thank you cousin can’t wait to give that bad boy a shot up at our camp 17 1/2 private acres you’ll have to stop by a few times this year as there is a elementary school right up the road from our camp I love flying at our camp is about an hour from Erie and an hours drive from Pittsburgh I still need to save up to get a spectrum transmitter to get my t-Rex 550 class heli up and flying.

Excellent Review 👍 I have the bugs 4w 4k I have a couple of videos on UA-cam. What memory card do you use please.? As I'm using a SanDisk ultra 32gb class 10 but I've just been looking at the Samsung U3 cards but I'm not sure which one to get? Thanks and Good Job 👍
I recommend any 32GB U3 card. It should work well with most drones, including those that record at 4K. Unfortunately mine is in a moving box somewhere on its way across the USA. But I did have a Class 10 card that was sufficient for 1080p 60fps video.

When the drone is in headless mode , it should fly Forward and Not Towards You when you push the rudder Away from you ‘ Right ? Apart from the Drone ‘s Orientation , it Still complies with the Rudder ‘s Inputs 🤔

I have been "shopping" for a drone to use for fishing... to carry bait and sinker from beach front outwards 300-400 ft. over water and drop the bait and return to home.... Total weight to be lifted is approx. 16oz. I see lots of guys using the DJI Phantom 3 drones for this, but wonder if the new BUGS 20 might have lift capability comparable to the Phantom 3 Standard...?

Hi. Is there such thing as fpv glasses that allows you to connect to your cell phone so you can see your cell phone screen in the fpv glasses? Because I had the parrot bepop 2 drone and I didnt like having to put my cell inside the large glasses.
I didn't see you connect the controller to the phone with a cable (ala Mavic Mini). Does this mean it communicates controllerphone vid Bluetooth? If so, what is the latency like? Also, if the phone USB type-C port is free, can you connect the phone to a head mounted display via HDMI cable for latency free FPV? Thanks.

Core finally mjx make a drone with a reasonable camera on it lol, they always make great fliers but all of their drones have poor cameras, but they stepped it up a bit with this one.
