- This is a pretty quick run of "I wanna be the guy". This is not sped up in any way, and a run like this is definitely possible with enough skill and practice. Does this look possible to you?
This is the first platformer level in Geometry Dash 2.2 to get an extreme demon rating, and it deserves it.
The level is pretty simple, but it needs to be with gameplay this difficult. It is pretty hard to do but you eventually get the hang of the movements. Runs on each section are cut together.

This would be considered one of the easier levels by iwbtg standards if it had better physics, so yeah it's gonna get worse

@@daridon2483People have been using checkpoints, and mostly just cube, robot, ball, and spider. Jet pack is going to be hell, like straight flying would be so painful

Platformer games are easy to learn, hard to master, as a IWBTG player I can confirm this
Its crazy how this is easier than some IWBTG fangames

I'm gonna be honest, when I saw the upload I thought someone re-made the actual game "I wanna be the guy" in GD, thank God they didn't because that would be top 1 platformer no question.

when i first found out that there's gonna be platformer mode in 2.2 i was 101% sure that people will make a lot of "i wanna be the guy"-like levels
the inverted color part looks so nice
It's also the hardest. Took me 2 hours and a half to beat, and half of that time was spent on that forsaken room

I already, in principle, consider platforming to be one of the most difficult modes in the game, but because of this level, platforming has now become completely impossible for me...
See, for me it's the opposite. I'm not good with regular GD, to the point I can't beat Hard demons for shit. I have yet to beat HeLL by Serponge in the Demon Gauntlet. But even me, someone who couldn't beat demons like those, beat this level. I guess that just means people have different skills.

I think a good idea would be that the plat extremes are seperated from the main extremes, so we can have a platformer list and a main list without plat levels. Also, the plat demons should count as another type of demon completed in the profile.

I guess were back to to 1.0's methods of showcasing: practice cuts and no noclip and speedhack

Compared to actual IWBTG fangames, this is actually really easy
Theres so many checkpoints in this level it's actually unreal. Even the original IWBTG has fewer. It's normally RAREto get a checkpoint every 4 rooms, let alone multiple in the same room.
As well as that, the timings and precision in this level is not comparable to the harder IWBTG games
It's also 100x more slippery than IWBTG fangames which shouldnt slip at all

@@charuseTVYeah I have noticed in some platformer levels, there is REALLY low friction, so that does affect it a little bit. Although, it doesn't take much to get used to it. It's still not really hard in comparison
The only IWBTG part thats left in this level is the name, the physics are completely different, there isnt even a double jump

There should be a platformer level hardeest list I feel like. an honestly this would would probably just be a harder insane demon, simply because of the amount of checkpoints.

@@s1enderm4n Extreme demons should be ruthless and take weeks of practice and thousands of attempts. I am a very new GD player, I can't complete even a 8 star insane level. But I did this one in 2800 attempts, 1 sitting and 2:51:40 as my best time. This is not an extreme demon. 💀

@@Aapiplayz freeze frame cliffs, and most of the robtop platformer levels. People are so blind to moving obstacles being annoying in platformer because 2.2 just came out but everyone complained about them in 2.1. Platformer or not moving spikes obstacles ect suck most of the time

I think that the robot in platformer mode is the most difficult mode. After all, you need to take into account the clamping force in addition to movement. I've played this level and I can say that it's harder than going through Bloodbath.

Jokes aside, we need to asses people's skills when talking about difficulty. I find regular GD levels to be harder than platformer levels because unlike with the latter I can't slow down and plan ahead like with the former.

I know people will be mad but hear me out: This is DEFINETELY not an extreme demon. An extreme demon would take me at least 2 days to beat, and i have thousands of hours of experience. I have around 6 hours of platformer so far and i’ve beaten this in 2 hours. No previous experience. Don’t get me wrong, this is shitty hard, but if considered and extreme demon, it makes extremes jokingly easy compared to what they used to be.
