@@tapevans87 how are you finding the 501? I'm tempted to go for a KTM500 vs CRF450RL (no husky dealers here) - just concerned about the vibes? Heard they are really bad to ride for longer than 30mins in a straight line on a country highway hah.
@@agro1942it’s a different bike all together but for me so far anyways the pros of the 500 outweigh the weight and up and go of the rally. Great bike but l felt l had just outridden it
The more I watch the more I am enjoying it. The camera setup you have actually shows the steepness and size of the ruts and wombat wholes far better than most footage I have seen as I have ridden some of those areas on the Pan Am (not not tried Blue Rag yet - that is a 2025 attempt). Whats your camera setup as its pretty impressive - good work mate.
Great vid Champ.........I was on that Adv ride and only got as far as 8am day 2 and came off on the Davis Plain track. Long story short I broke my ankle in 3 places. I suppose I got to see what I missed out on. Cheers.
@@tapevans87 it didn't seem much at the time. I rode home the following morning because of the pain (850k's). Went to RPA for Xray & ended up getting 3 screws later in the breaks. Hard to believe. Starting to come good of late.
Hey there. I have just started watching the footage and looking forward to sitting back whilst having a beer. I am mapping out an Australia Day trip and was wondering if you had any GPS routes marked for the trip?
Hey mate glad you enjoyed it. As this was a paid tag along tour I won’t share the files as they were not created from me sorry. Get the Hema atlas guide and that will get you everywhere in the high country. It’s all we use when we go there 👍
Nice
That little CRF300 does move along quite well. Impressive.
Sure does mate but Iv just moved it on for a husky 501

Thanks mate. That trip was a GoPro hero8 filmed in 4k which is why it looks abit crisp.

Amazing mate, what camera/action camera are you using? Crystal clear! love it
Thanks mate. Using a hero8 on that trip filming in 4k 60fps makes all the difference. My new 13 is even better!
@@tapevans87 wow man incredible even on an older model. Well done!
@@agro1942yer man chin mount on the helmet helps but I’m going on audio atm trying to get that down pat
