Hey, ryan Idk how much you know or how you feel about tik tok, but I feel like you could blow up on there just giving pod advice and direct those people to your UA-cam channel. It's not that hard to get a video to hit a 100k plus views
Great vid! I agree that in the beginning of Merch, tiering up is more important than profits. But for most, that can take a really long time. That's why I believe people should add KDP into their arsenal of POD income...no invitation system, no tiers, and the ability to attack niches from different angles (notebook, logbook, coloring book, etc). Still a lot of work, but also very viable.
While all you said is true.... It's a Business model...and NO business is a Fairy Tale. You forgot to mention Copycats.... Thanks to KDP...I have to report Infringement not only on my Shirts...but now on Notebooks and whatnot. So to anyone trying this journey...be warned. Like you said...you are adding a source of revenue...but also adding a lot of work.
Thank for the information. Finally making a few sales on Etsy and Amazon. Tried social media ads and it was a waste of time. Hope everyone has a happy, healthy and successful 2021.
Wow, you give so much value. I'm about to get started once I get over this analysis paralysis, but I take notes and srsly, can't wait to profit so I can buy your course.
Awesome stuff Ryan! Chock full of wholesome sage advice! Fingers crossed (when I pull my finger out from the xmas holiday sticky date pudding 😜) I'll be able to start crushing it, rather than the crumbly crumble it ended up being this year.. Wishing you & your mob very best seasons greetings! 🖖👽
Hi Ryan, I am currently in the middle of getting a GTIN exemption and I think your previous videos on GTIN exemptions may not be as accurate due to changes in the process. I am currently waiting on a personal order from Printful for a "permanently affixed" logo design on one of my shirts to hopefully get through the process. I wish the process were as easy as you made it look in your prior video, perhaps a refresh video on the GTIN exemption in the future? Anywho, hopefully, my GTIN exemption gets past the customer support before then. Thanks again for the great videos!
Hi! If you design an image for merch by Amazon for example, could you use the exact design on the other platforms or does Amazon Merch own your design once you add it to that platform?
Great info as always, thanks! I've been thinking of getting into Seller Central FBM - can set up a brand page through SC or do you have to be brand registered for that?
I do wish amazon merch would let me "play", I can't afford the $40 a month fee right now, maybe toward 2021 q4 if I can't get into merch again this year...
I want to start with seller central when it comes to amazon, instead of Merch by Amazon. The reason being Merch byAmazon undersells my designs yet they are of high quality and attractive. I somehow feel devalued as a person if I am only getting peanuts from royalties. The margins are reasonable on seller central. Right now I’m focused on establishing on Etsy first. I think I’d only use Merch by Amazon for effortless designs.
I wouldn't bother with Merch if you're only going to do effortless designs. You'll spend time uploading but won't get much back in return. Unless you're one of the first to jump on current event trends.
Hi. Well what I can personally say about merch by Amazon is my effortless designs make me $1800 $2000+ a month?? It has been my observation that there are only 3 kinds of graphic designers? Great ones, good one, and shity ones? Personally I'm not sure which category you fall under because I haven't seen your work? but again its been my observation that only the good ones and the shity ones are the only ones that make the money selling on merch by Amazon? Why you say? good question. Because you take to long on your designs, your a perfectionist, it has to be a grad design that everyone must have, so you think? and you think your design on a t-shirt or any apparel is worth alot more than Amazon is willing to pay you for? You do know that you can charge as much as you want for a design on merch by Amazon "right? within reason anyway! So let the cream rise to the top. Let Amazon's customer make that decision? If your designs are good enough? You can charge $29.99 per t-shirt, I personally see it all the time on Amazon not necessarily on merch by Amazon , but give it a try? unfortunately it usually will not work very well. I'm not bagging on you or putting you down at all because I myself have been there personally, when I first started my P.O.D journey 2 and a half years ago. I thought my designs were the shit, and they were very good for the most part and I thought I was going to completely crush all the other competition, but my problem was, I took to damn long to design a single shirt and then I would upload my grand over the top design then what would happen? absolutely nothing F-ing crickets in the background, nothing no sales, oh maybe one sale here and there, but nothing worthwhile I was crushed at times, and to be honest pissed off too. how could all those sons of bitches not like my designs? Then I came to the realization with the help of people like Ryan on this UA-cam channel that most people but not all people want simple "effortless" designs? "No Way" You Say, "Really they do? A simple text shirt, a simple saying like Happy Camper? Smiles are free? I Love my Dog 🐕 and so on. A simple design. Simple sells the best by far. The best selling shirts of all time. A ☺ smily face, shit happens, I 💘 NY, keep on truck'in and so on. "Simple and effortless" One thing you should try Society 6 P.O.D platform that may be right up your alley and there are a few more very artsy platforms out there but they skip my mind right now, see no one remembers the artsy websites not even me and I'm artistic? I really do hope this helps you, if its a making money thing to you? you really have to change your process and your thinking. If making money is not the leading objective and you don't care about the money so much, just go for it and list your t-shirts for $29.95 on merch by Amazon and see where it goes? You never know what will happen until you try it. Again I hope this helps you. Good luck Bro 👍 and take care. Hawk out!!
@@patriotgardener8837 You're quite right. But i try not to be a perfectionist although i'd like to think that i am not. The time i spend on my designs depend on how easy it is to create. But some designs take between 10min and some 3 days. I had opened a Merch by amazon account but i felt that i'd rather start with Etsy and after setting up Etsy which is the hardest as far as setting up and uploading my first designs. After Uploading the designs, the i'll start uploading on Merch by Amazon and redbubble, and then seller central. One step at a time. Thanks
Hey Bro, Amazon will tier you up at anytime now, trust me. They usually tier up a bunch of people at the same time, so I personally think they wait till they have quite a few people from teir 25 then they open up the flood gates. So its coming soon and great job getting to 25. Stay with it and don't quit and in a year or two the only thing you will be quitting is your job? So keep it up Bro. I'm personally on teir 6000 with about 4000 designs up and I make on average about 1800 to 2000 a month now, with just Amazon merch. So its possible Bro. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can do it! Hope this helps you? Take care. Hawk out!

Ryan great video! Do you have a step by step course that teaches us, International sellers, to open an Amazon Sellers Central account?

Hooray!
Where is your All Sunsets link? Am I missing it? I want to buy it and want to give you credit!
In October Amazon changed GTIN exemption. Can you do a video on how to get the exemption?
What changed? They have changed it a few times over the last year+ but it's still a one-time thing so I learn from others at this point
Great video! 👍

I heard some talks in some groups that Amazon is going to ban automation tool users for kdp 🤔
Ryan is a true hustler. Thanks for motivating us
Good Ryan 🎤
Thanks for taking down my post. I must have hurt someone's feeling?? snowflakes

Qudra k You're missing the point. Rewatch the Merch section. And anyway, you set the royalties.
