    Tough week to trade. Plenty of false breakouts and lack of volume. Much easier to lose money vs making it. Sometimes I got back to my philosophy as an airline pilot when presented with some kind of uncertainty. Sit on your hands..take time to make a decision and look for as much info as possible. Don’t be impulsive in these kinds of markets!

    what is your criteria for the scanner to get notified once a stock pops out in the pre-market? up 10%, float less than 20M, relative vol more than 2, price 2-20, what else? what about volume? these jumps in price usually lasts 1 or 2 minutes max, by the time I open the chart, the price is slowing down or hit the max of the initial move. Thank you so muc

      The NVAX trade was at 3am west coast! I'm mountain so, yeah, it's pretty early for a lot of these pre-market trades, not to mention your broker has to allow trading those pre-market times. And you have to get up *before* that time, so I'm thinking minimum 230am your time, 330am my time. Crazy. But that's what I'm stuck with. Probably never leaving Colorado at this point.

  • @makethistechwork2881
    @makethistechwork2881 26 днів тому

    That's some tough trading. If I'm seeing this right, all trades began in pre-market with NVAX starting it's run near 4am mountain where I am (3am west coast!). Neither of my brokers allows trading pre-market that early (Fidelity and IBKR Lite). And be careful, stop orders cannot be set pre-market at Fidelity (might be same with IBKR Lite). Also, scanners wouldn't catch these until there was actual movement. If you're catching this on the way up, looks like you have to get a scanner alert when it's already moved partially (for example 50% move up) then out before it's peak which all happend within like 10 minutes for NVAX. The other stocks were even tighter on time (but within premarket trading hours for Fidelity and IBKR Lite), maybe a couple of minutes. On those, you'd have to get the alert, and trade within close to a minute before it started falling. You could trade on the way down with pop ups like Ross did. Nice trading Ross. I'm just trying to understand what it takes to actually do those trades.

    • @basseon
      @basseon 27 днів тому +1

      I'm just a rookie but a trailing stop can be used. I don't have trailing stops so If I think it goes parabolic I slide my stop lost higher and higher. I won't get the absolute best price that way, but I only do it if I'm already gaining my target.

    It was really great to trade with the Warriors again for a couple weeks! I didn't even fill out the market data part, because I can just see the scanner on your screen, and my current rules don't allow for hoping in on breaking news anyway (have to let it form enough 1min candles to grade it). So, hopefully, you didn't have to pay for the data. I almost have my monthly budget ready to get back into Warrior. Did the classic thing, and didn't listen to Ross's excellent advice last summer, and got burnt using too big of size as a rookie. Took a break, and have been building back the right way since. Small size, green and out. Taken small CMEG from $849 on 4/9 to $1311 after commissions today. 100% because I started FULLY listening to Ross

      We strongly advise against mirror trading, as it does not help members to learn how to trade on their own. Rather, it creates a dependency on other traders for trade ideas which is not a long-term success strategy.
      While we do share trades in the live trading room, our goal in sharing them is to create a more proactive learning environment for our members. Rather than focusing on following our trades, they can focus on how we identified the trade setup and the reason why we took a position.
