Very important tip: You should ALWAYS read the troop abilities in the builder base, It's important to know what they do to ensure you win. And also pay attention at the troops's favored defense, for example the bomber likes targeting walls. You can also read information about defenses because thats important too!
Quick Tip when you reach town hall 7: using Zap spell, you can destoy an Air Defense with 3-4 spells( if you have any extra, make sure to use it on the other Air Defenses too) and then use the dragons towards the remaining Air Defenses in order to make the base much easier to win. The dragons are tanky enough to survive even a few Air Bombs so they sould be able to destroy the entire base on their own, granted you use 10 Dragons. I'm sort of new as well so hopefully this helps(omw to TH9 as of typing this).
tip: in the future as time goes on, events for the game will happen like for halloween, christmas, the game anniversary, etc, and during those, special LIMITED TIME obstacles will start spawning on your lawn and at limited amounts, and it is vital to know that usually you never want to clear them, obviously its up to you, but almost everyone in the game keeps them to show how long youve been playing and or for memories, and when people clear those obstacles, onlookers feel physical pain because you just cleared a limited time item that will never come back. so don't clear any of those unless you want to make us suffer
Tip - Always read the info about troops and their ailities so you can play them at their max potential (for example always place the Beta Minions far away since they have an ability where they shoot from really far away for a bit, and use Sneaky Archers to destroy defenses using their invisibility) troops also have targeting priorities which you can see at "Favorite target" hope this helps.
Quick Tip Matt! Even if you don't need to, I would definitely use ALL your troops/spells. 1) It makes the bases easier to attack since you're using everything, and 2) it makes it waaaaay easier to retrain your troops using the "Quick Train" tab in the Barracks. It stops it being super confusing when retraining/queuing troops, since you can retrain full armies at a time, rather than editing your troops that are training with figuring out what you used/didn't use. Tip for Matt: All you need to about the building base there is a gem mine,clock tower and battle machine the gem mine gives you gems obviously the clock tower boost your building resource collecting and upgrading troops and the battle machine when you rebuild it you can fight with it and every time a hero ( so the battle machine and battle copter the barbarian king the archer queen the grand warden and the royal guard ) is lvl 5 it gains an ability also you get a 6th builder at home base at builder hall 9 but you need to do 4 quests and they are: 1. gear up 3 towers from home base, archer tower needs to be lvl 10, mortar needs to be lvl 8, and cannon needs to be lvl 7 2. get 1 troop to lvl 18 3. get a defence to lvl 9 do a singular wall 4. get a total hero lvl of 45 so the battle machine and battle copter lvls have to add up to 45 Also at builder hall 6 gives you a new area to build stuff on and a second builder Edit: currently on builder hall 5 and home base town hall 8 being town hall 9 in 2 days Edit2: the builder base multi mortar has to be lvl 8 the builder base archer tower has to be lvl 6 and the builder base double cannon has to be lvl 4 to gear up the home base towers for the gear up quest you also need to be builder hall lvl 8 and home base town hall lvl 10 to do the gear up quest
Check again, there was a builder base update that allows you to place walls individually, previously they can only be placed in sets of 5 ,so I think you are using an old base , which maybe suboptimal 😊

Hey matt, you are now a Builder hall 4 player, there are a few new things that you can unlock. 1stly being the broken robot on the bottom of your builder base, you can rebuild it and take it to battle with you. it also has an ability that you can unlock at level 5 of him. he basically becomes Thor. there is also a broken tower thingy right over your star laboratory you can rebuild that as well. the clock tower basically manipulates time so you can use clock tower ability and upgrade buildings faster I hope you see this
Tip for Matt: Some Builder Base troops have special abilities and you can tap on them to activate them. Also before logging off always have all of your builders doing something and have your research labs doing stuff in both villiages. You still have plenty of more stuff to experience this is just the tip of the iceberg haha i’m almost maxed out T10
Hey Matt, the Giant's Invinicbility Shield cab be activated in any time in battle, you don't need to wait until he dies. You can just tap on the troop's image
Tip for builder base! My favorite strat is to get my army camps full of maxed out bombers and the battle machine ( a giant can also work if battle machine is unavailable). You wanna stack all the bombers together and use their ability to steam roll any defenses and use the battle machine to tank any damage (especially area damage like mortar and bombs. With a little practice you can destroy almost any defense off the bat. Hope you try this tactic although it’s easier to pull off in later builder hall levels so you get more army camps. P.S. love the vids ❤
the stars work like this not in a particular order: 1 star- getting 50% destruction. 2 star- destroying the town hall 3 star- destroying all the buildings and getting 100%

There will be a purple bar next to the army camp number if the ability is available.
quick tip: in the builder base, its not just the bomber that has an ability, the giant shield is an ability but it gets auto used at low health, same with the baby dragon ability
Tip for Builder Base: You should only upgrade buildings IF you're done to the star bonus/attacking bases because upgrading your buildings later than while attacking makes that building invulnerable and unfunctionable (if its a resource collecter or a defense).
Quick tip when you unlock the dark barracks you can get valkyries and they are amazing for destroying high defense units and buildings (I upgraded them a lot)
You can upgrade the archer tower, double cannon and later multi mortar in the builder base to unlock a gear up option for buildings in the home village. But you need a vertain levels for every building. Archer tower needs to be level 6 in the builder base and level 10 at home village, double cannon on level 4 in builder base and level 7 cannon in the home village and multi mortar on level 8 in the builder base and level 8 mortar in the home village. use archers to destroy buildings in front of walls if there are any, then place the bomber and use the ability immediately to destroy some walls, then send a boxer giant followed by barbarians and use giant ability when it's attacking the crusher, hope this helps

Matt in the Builder Base you can set your army camp after looking at your opponents base by pressing on the arrows next to your troops before you deploy them (You don't have to make an army before going into battle)

Tip: once you get to th8 you can properly train a GOWIPE army. GOWIPE is one of the easiest th8 strats. You just need to create a funnel to the base so you can get the townhall. You can search the strategy on UA-cam ofc.

Tip for Matt: Do the "Practice" gamemode in the battle section because of 2 main things: 1. Free loot 2. There's pretty strong armies in there which can stick with you for a long time! Try actually using those armies in real battles, they can be good
Matt you really don't need that much wizards. They are a glass cannon of sorts so around 8 of them can pretty much clear everything up. Put the remaining troop space into giant's to tank a ton of the damage for them. Also for the builder base giants are super overpowered especially when they are upgraded try to use only them plus 1 bomber for the walls so the giants don't waste their super punch on a wall. A tip: when youll get the cannon cart on the builder base use like 1-2of them on each attack and you see a big circle around it (its mortar forms range) you can safely destroy some buildings while outrangeing them!

Matt a tip that might save you some money. When purchasing the 14000 gems always do it on the supercell official store because there they offer the 14000 gems plus an additional 1400 gems for the same price what doesn't happen when you buy the gems on the game store. This way it might hurt you a little bit less when spending some money.
Tip from a TH10 (so it SHOULD be okay for you now) do NOT USE MAGIC ITEMS on upgrading buildings. Save them until they can make a dent. One day might seem like a lot of time, but it gets much, much longer. also, healers aren't great until you get a hero. Then you can walk or charge them.
Tip: when you are attacking in the builder base, use archers if there is a defense (for example a cannon) you can destroy it if your archers attack it and they won’t get hurt because they are invisible For example in game, at 8:19 you can see the cannon In the corner just put your archers there and the cannon will be destroyed because the archers are invisible.

Upgrading the gem mine in the builder Base can be super useful grinding gems. It'll be that much more useful on your wallet, not by much, but to some extent.
Quick tip for the builder base for any town hall: If you are in need of elixir fast i like to start a battle place one troop then surrender. you don't loose anything your rank does not go down either however what it does do is let someone attack your base then you can get all the elixir you want, you just have to do it enough times
Tip: Once you reach th7 try to focus on getting the king to level 5 so it can get an ability which heals the hero, gives it more dmg, speed, and it spawns barbarians, also the barbarians spawned correlate to the level that you have in the laboratory.
Yo Matt, just saying, filling your storages in the shop gives you more value per gem then just straight up buying the loot for an upgrade with gems. It will help you save a lot of money in the longrun
Tip for you when using gems. It's always better to fill the storages with gems. Then, use what you have filled to do an upgrade. It's way more expensive to use gems to finish off an upgrade or build a building.
Little tip for the second village, u can change unit when you attack whit the green button for use the best unit... You can also use the ability of the giant and the baby dragon like the bomber guy 😁
You should play Clash Royale! It's like Clash of Clans but instead of infiltrating other's bases and creating and defending a base, it's more about real time defending and attacking with a faster and more competitive gameplay loop.
Fact: in the builder base there is no troop who loves to attack the ressources because you can not get ressources in attacks you only get those on percentages: you attack 1%=1500 gold and you attack 100%=15000 gold And same thing for the enemmy but 1%=15000 elixir and 100%= 1500 elixir so if you are super strong and the attacker is bad you will get lots of ressources

Remember to do you're raid weekend attacks so you can get things from the trailer when you unlock him.

The bombers are by far some of the best troops in the builder base. I recommend a combo of giants and well-placed bombers.

Pro tip-when you upgrade to a New th you shold prioritize upgrading your army camps or any ofense bulding because then you can do more attack straragys and unlock new trops.
Matt please use this tip, go to the shop and purchase “fill storages” to save gems and have full storages of gold and elixir.

Upgrading the gem mine in the builder Base can be super useful grinding gems. It'll be that much more useful on your wallet, not by much, but to some extent.

Quick tip for the builder base for any town hall: If you are in need of elixir fast i like to start a battle place one troop then surrender. you don't loose anything your rank does not go down either however what it does do is let someone attack your base then you can get all the elixir you want, you just have to do it enough times
Tip: Once you reach th7 try to focus on getting the king to level 5 so it can get an ability which heals the hero, gives it more dmg, speed, and it spawns barbarians, also the barbarians spawned correlate to the level that you have in the laboratory.

Tip for you when using gems. It's always better to fill the storages with gems. Then, use what you have filled to do an upgrade. It's way more expensive to use gems to finish off an upgrade or build a building.

Pro tip : make your clan invite only so you can accept better members! I see some of your clan is inactive! Also that gem spending is crazy 😂
tip: stone don't respawn so try to keep some of them, like the brabarian statue
Little tip for the second village, u can change unit when you attack whit the green button for use the best unit... You can also use the ability of the giant and the baby dragon like the bomber guy 😁

Tips: if enemy base have defense upgrade the defense will not attack same with your base
You should play Clash Royale! It's like Clash of Clans but instead of infiltrating other's bases and creating and defending a base, it's more about real time defending and attacking with a faster and more competitive gameplay loop.

Did you know that Robtop was going to release update 2.2 in Geometry Dash's 10th anniversary?
Fact: in the builder base there is no troop who loves to attack the ressources because you can not get ressources in attacks you only get those on percentages: you attack 1%=1500 gold and you attack 100%=15000 gold
And same thing for the enemmy but 1%=15000 elixir and 100%= 1500 elixir so if you are super strong and the attacker is bad you will get lots of ressources
Quick tip: if you want to farm resources the best unit is sneaky goblin but Matt shea is not colse to there yet
