This is a criminally underrated drink. I first discovered it a few years back when Glen and Friends did a video on it (2 versions), and decided to make it as a result. It's so beautiful and well-balanced.
I really feel like this drink is better with a teaspoon of Rhum Agricole. I used Jm white at 50% ABV and it worked well and kind of melds the flavors a bit better
Truely one of my favorite cocktails. To me, it's the closest thing to a perfect sipper. I usually use just Havana Club 3 or Plantation 3 Star. And if I have happen to have Lillet Blanc at hand, I find it works just as well as Dolin. Also, I like to have it on a large chunk of clear ice :) Great job as usual!
Delicious cocktail - I liked it enough to start tinkering and ended up with a more Jamaican version with Wray and Nephews, fassionola, and banana liqueur - as well as the vermouth blanc of course - and it's very tasty. Can also lower the Wray with a more mild rum if that strong unaged jamaican isn't your jam, but I don't think it's necessary.
Was hoping for a video on this cocktail sometime! I've made it a few times, always enjoyed it, but one time it was just outstanding--and I didn't write down the specs I used. Been meaning to try the TS next to Our Man in Havana.
The EL President is one of my favorite Martini variations. No, that’s not blasphemy. This is in that class of drinks with spirit+vermouth, with the Martini as the titular example. Prefer this to a Martini any day.

Yes. I love this cocktail. Never tried this version so time to make some saline solution.
If your 20s are for martinis and your 30s are for Manhattans, your 40s are for El Presidentes.
My favorite up rum cocktail. Another great video!
Thank you!
One of my top five favorite cocktails.

I have only had it with Lillit before, I will have to try it with Dolin some time

I absolutely love a presidente. I have found a really nice twist is to use the Ferrand yuzu curacao.
Mmm...looks so delicious 🍹
i replaced the dry curaçao with JM Shrubb and it was excellent

I have only had it with aged rum, Zaccapa and Bacardi 10 year

Great video. Just read Imbibe!
I like that coupe, what is the volume?
I think 9-10 oz
