A huge thank you to Dave "Bio" Baranek for allowing us to record and post our short interview with him. I enjoyed Bio talking about his job on the A model, of which I was a proud maintainer when I was with VF-142 in the early to mid-80s, but for the love of Mary, what the hell was going on in that hangar? Were they tearing it down and trying to put it back up at the same time? Madre, I had to go back a couple of times to try to hear what the man had to say with all of that infernal banging around going on.
This is really cool to see! TICO is right in my neighborhood, and I just read "Top Gun Days." I had no idea Bio stopped by and hopped into the Cat that I've seen in person. Very cool! The Space Coast is a great place.
VERY cool video Bio & Martin. :-) I did visit that museum on a trip to the states back in about 2005. I wish I could find all my photos but they are long lost unfortunately. I'll definitely come back for a visit one day when we can fly internationally again. Eran.
The F-14B in DCS has some stuff that needs to be changed for the B model with the F110's. The engine/fuel gauges for example are from an A model F-14 with TF-30's. Heatblur has acknowledged that this is the case and according to the forums plans on addressing it at some point. But 161134 is an A model tomcat, not an A+.

Hey this is awesome, I have a signed copy of Bio’s book. Thanks for posting great interview!
Do you guys have a bowling alley in the hanger alongside the aircraft?

Awesome interview Bio
I actually met and hung out with Bio last year at VAC. Cool dude for sure..
Great interview, but I really wanted to yell at the people in the background to be quiet.
I don't understand what they were doing in the back to make this constant banging and talking noise?
Wait where is this f14 with all the parts still in it! Sick, id love to go see it.

I wish they put a mic on him, hard to hear what he says sometimes

5:38 pilot ejection seat isn't armed.
Did you remember all the fuses and switches ?
Damn, love this video loved his book, shame I don't have much time to fly anymore guys but I'm always reading the discord chat
That was Awesome ❤️👍
Told you the RIO calls the ball TBAG!
The pilot would tell us they had it and we'd make the radio call. We did not call it based on our ability to see it. (I'm a former RIO)
ffs tell those guys in the back to keep it quiet for 5 f'ng minutes when filming
Just wondering, is that a F14A+ ? Because the cockpit looks exactly the same as the F14B in DCS.

Cool stuff, thanks !
@@carrierairwingeleven1747 almost looks like they used this buno , in part for DCS ? it looks remarkably similar in the patina
Neat, now all that's left is to talk him into playing DCS with you.
Hey, you cleared up something big. The RIO only calls the ball after the pilot tells him to !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You all have mislead us for a long time.
Top of the food chain. Real men pee in a bag. SEMPER FIDELIS
God these background noises are SO annoying..
Awesome Video, but how that tomcat is repainted is a disgrace.
