- Rumors have surfaced that EA is canceling The Sims 5. Is this highly anticipated project really getting scrapped? Let's dive into the details, and as a bonus, I'll share some official information about the game. Trailer coming soon.
A game that can work on a phone doesn't sound like a game that's going to have the open worlds of The Sims 3 that we loved and want back.
A game that works on the phone sounds like it’d be sh*t on the PC. They couldn’t even get Sims4 console versions right.
U guys say that and forget genshin impact and wuthering waves are pc mobile and console games so u might wanna take that back since their maps are huge and have insane amounts of detail in characters and maps :)

@@valik-v2059 genshin is not a simulator like sims and since complex simulations require processing power the simulation has to be very shallow for a mobile processor to keep up. so the game would have to be very simple to be able to function on mobile devices

We need a Sims 5 that brings back open world without loadscreen for going to each property as in the Sims 4. Bring back shopping in stores, cars need to return and a feature where you can perform each type of job with your Sim, not only specifically ones. Babysitting or repair job also needs the option 'Go to work with your Sim'.
Weather and seasons needs to become maingame feature and give players to option to choose a start capital for new created sims.
Remove the constantly random damages to TV, Toilets or other stuff. Bring back the karma-meter instead so depending on your good or bad karma things can happen.
Bring enough content into the maingame and less forcing DLC's

I agree with you the problem is we are talking about EA and EA puts profits above really trying to give to the customers what they really want. I believe studios like that winds up keeps shooting themselves in the foot sure you can't give us players everything we want without losing too much money but you got to give a bit more to what your community your customer your players want otherwise in the long run you will lose money in sales on future products. EA doesn't like changing up what they're doing until they start losing money.

I remember when Sims 2 for P.C. released and the graphics and physics were so realistic looking for its time, it was revolutionary. But now we got cartoonish looking graphics. What a setback.

I doubt I will purchase The Sims 5. I played all the earlier versions and am tired of EA's pricing model. If you were to buy the full Sims 4 game today it would cost you approximately $500. Yes, $500. The game is not worth near that amount of money and even if you purchase everything on sale it will still cost you over $300. EA releases the base game for a reasonable amount and then charges nearly the same amount of money for each additional DLC. The Sims franchise is a huge cash cow for EA but I refuse to continue feeding the lion. EA also has one of the worst reputations in the gaming industry for listening to players and taking care of players.
Actually the sims 4 costs almost $1000 if you Google it. And yeah I agree. Not gonna spend money on EA anymore. They're too greedy. I'm just gonna pirate the games this time around.

The decorative feature that we saw from project renee looks more like a copy of Paralives. Looks like EA is afraid that they lose people when Paralives is coming. They should make the Sims better without bugs and problems and scratch the kits, put them into packs like they did with sims 3. And make the dlc's affordable.

EA needs to release the sims 5 faster with major updates and more realistic graphics, or inzoi will beat them..

I for one, like the blocky, Pixary look. I DETEST that "Alpha" look.
And it doesn’t look too cartoonish either but I do believe that there’s a fine line we could possibly cross that reaches uncanny valley so I like that they won’t cross that line
What does Alpha in this context mean, exactly? I keep hearing it, referring to modded sims, but I dont know exactly what they're talking about.
@@juliaturk7054 Since The Sims 2, there's been a bit of a preference "war" of Maxis-match (which means matching the core style of the version of the Sims game you're playing), ... or Alpha-style. Alpha essentially tries its very best or in most cases, its WORST to appear as realistic as possible for the Sims themselves and their clothing, and their items to a lesser extent. Think IMVU b.s.
It was okayish back in the Sims 2 days, because I could see its purpose. Sims 2 Sim graphics needed help, even back then. Things like hairs and skin, and eyes and makeup back in Sims 2 was understandable, and Alpha CC hair for Sims 3, the hair most definitely. But even back then Alpha style everywhere was over kill and tacky. Unless you replaced every single thing in the game with the Alpha style, nothing fit it. It was and still is like come uncanny valley abomination walking around in a stylized cartoony world. Like really bad CGI in some 2-D anime for comparison.
In Sims 4, the best-looking Sims game thus far, Alpha is completely useless to me. The only reason I use Alpha-styles is to represent some Sim that is supposed to have something clearly fundamentally wrong with them, or they are some unholy horror, or are something creepy. Combine it with glitches and it really sells the effect. That's how weird Alpha is to me.
There are custom Maxis match things that still look great, blend in, and or enhance/update some things, but when you see Alpha style, you know it, and most of it is baaaaaaad. If the Sims every went Alpha-realistic style. I wouldn't know what I'd do. But to me, it would be odd, because you need to leave room for everything else to run smoothly. Too detailed Sims could equal a really bad time for most people's home computers. But that's my opinion. Some people only like Alpha, and some people don't gaf and mix and match it.
Look at any Alpha style on any UA-cam video or CC Downloads site, and you'll see what I mean.
@@sfalcone0530 I am glad too. I have no interest to play a real-world simulator, even if the Sims 20, or a game like the Sims in the far future can mimic real life perfectly. I like to play more stylized things.
@@ARedMagicMarker Ahhh, gotcha. Yeah, I've seen a lot of those shorts, and I never really liked the hyper realism anyways. For all of their talk about how much "better" their Sims look, they all look exactly the same to me and are either mid or flat out ugly. My husband and I don't use any mods on our Sims, and I like to think that they actually look pretty good, and also actually look different from each other (My husband especially is great at CAS!) We like to lean a bit more into the stylized look, and found that they look a lot better when we do that.
I've actually been kind of tempted to make a series of my own shorts, showing people what you can do without any CC.
Surely INZOL will become number one simulation game due to its realism and detail.

Don't care if sims 5 comes or not. Cause Sims 4 with mods is enough for me. And Inzoi coming. So
I'd love for Sims 5 to include a feature where Sims can establish routines or habits that they repeat daily, automatically. These routines would only be interrupted by extraordinary events like a fire or the birth of a child, but the Sim would pick up where they left off once things return to normal. It would be amazing to play the game as if you were the Sim's higher self, guiding their life with a sense of continuity and purpose.
What I think they don't understand is that if the game was based on realism, both in terms of gameplay and graphics, it would attract many more players... and instead they want us to play with dolls....
I see that other people feel the same! As soon as I saw the graphics, I thought, “This looks like a Disney movie…”.

Only thing I like is that the height can be controled.

(MY opnnion shortned in case you dont wanna read my essay: I think the sims gets to much hate, they have envolved a lot over time and are still addeing stuff to the game)
I feel every reveal i see for the sims or every update they have gets hated on by everyone when i dont think their that bad. every pack i see now is filled with complaints, and yes its important to see the issues but people never talk about what they did do right. so far they have good building mechanics,a lot of buildings, skills , personaties to make youir sims deffrent from eachother, they recently added more content to help relation sihps for your sims, they made a funny pack about romance, and many packs players can choose from. I still love the sims 4 and sims 3 and i really hope people learn to feal the same way, it hurts seeing a game get so much hate. what if the sims never exsisted? we woudent have the sims, this video woudent exsist nor woudl the community. and yes the bug problem is a issue, but some of those glitches may be what made the sims the sims. their bad yes but they are beign worked on.(((( if anyone whos worked in the develpoment field can descibe what it would like to develop a game like the sims please comment)))) sims have always been its own imperct mess, even i get upset but at the end of the day its about being a creator of your own world and creating a community that shoudent have this much hatred and those imprefectiosn make the sims realstic. so far ive gotten 5 packs and im happy. im someone who dosent like a overwelming game that have to much. for others they may like the idea of haveing a lot going on and having thousands of options and thats ok! and honesty the game beign underwelming also helped make all those crazy mods we have now availble, if the sims was the gamne with 1000s of options and everything goign on at once giveing you no break at all would you sitll wanna play? I think the make the packs underwelming so if you get others they dont make the game stressful, with all the packs i have now i sometimes get stressed because i have to worry about a werewlf sim turning my merman sims wife into a werewolf while im trying to get the merman to feed their offspring, imagine if the sims added 5x the amoutn of content to those packs. that would probaly make the game chaotic. these underwelming things also leaves room for us to make changes and make more mods so people dont have to force updates they dont want, instead thye can download what they want to make the world whatever the dream of, the wya i see the sims is a colroing book we get to choose, the sims have a giant community they have to make happy. The sims shoudl only be focusing on 1 thing right now and thats fixing the bugs, once they get that done they can add stuff, doing both keeps bugs in the game and it also makes them rush, we will be ok without a bunch of stuff thats why we have cc and mods. of course i can be wronge but this again is my oppnion on these issues and contervetes. The sims still have many years to go so we need to be patient, if you truely dont liek the game than dont play it. theirsdmany other games you can explore, i really hope i didnt come off as a rude but i just want the community to be happy and less angry. What's the point of bringing out new versions of Sims? They should have stopped at Sims 2 and just evolved game features without bringing out new versions that cut out features and added minute upgrades here and there. Far out.
The point was for EA (and previously Maxis) to make the most money possible. By then remaking the versions they were able to take something like seasons an expansion pack repeatedly. I have played sims since the beginning and have essentially paid for the seasons expansion probably about 3 or 4 times now. It's ridiculous... but oh so addictive.
I just want to have online sims
They dont care about making a great game but if they had just added to sims 2 (open world, more cas dimensions like body proportions, height etc) would have been wonderful, sims 2 engine was better than sims 3 or 4. Its like scrapping what is a superior game to replace with subsequent worse inferior base game after.

It doesn’t matter what the fans will say they don’t listen. They will destroy this whole game. Sims 3 & 4 are still broken and they do not care a bit about it.
I think it’s posible to make a semi open world for some 5 without being like Sims 3 if they want to avoid the issues with crashing and long loading.
Maybe they can have open neighborhoods? Instead of a whole town. Maybe within each town or world they can have sub neighborhood that are open like a downtown city area that is open but it feels big Enough and full of lots of stuff that it feels bigger than it is.
Then like a countryside neighborhood, beach and they should all be base game of course.
Or kind of like open games like final fantasy XIV where they have a like an open town area but then to enter another part is a brief loading area.
So maybe the downtown can have other parts where it’s a loading screen when they walk past the dotted line that indicates a separate area.
Also that way you can still have cars and drive but it’s not like free roam everywhere only when you enter the certain neighborhood and when you cross in your car, bikes or city bus that dotted line, you have to go through a loading screen to get to the other section of that town.

Sims 4 runs perfectly on Rog ally...i don't know why it doesn't run so good on my computer...but thankfully i bought rog ally and runs much better

I started playing Sims from the very beginning when I was a child and it always had that beautiful and fun cartoon touch. As in Sims 4 it is possible to create a „Disney Pixar Style“, all my Sims were created with these cartoon faces and for the gallery I created many Disney characters as well. So I absolutely look forward to use the new character creator. In my personal opinion it would be boring to have realistic characters to play with. Beside the cartoon look, the behavior of all Sims was never super realistic either and this is what I loved about it. Just mentioning the „Superstar Level“ as one example or the ability to levitate while doing a meditation. Hope Sims 5 will be released soon, as I‘d love to play it on my tablet 🌟
I say what I already said to me there was something about a market research, problably the Inzoi ones, since after Inzoi came out no more videos... the things are 2: A) Inzoi killed it or B) there was Inzoi... probably EA failed the time.

То же относится и к возможностям строительства, к технике и к рабочим местам, включая дошкольные, школьные, коледжи и так далее. Земельные участки должны быть большими. Симы в редакторе должны быть обнажёнными, чтобы геймер мог редактировать их внешние физические данные по своему усмотрению. То же относится и к одежде. Вот, как-то так. :-) :-) :-)

What a false thing, but if it were true no one would play it, that is too far from resembling the original Sims style, it seems more like an absurd and ridiculous failed collaboration of Disney with maxis and EA
the prototypes of furnitures and decision to stretch, shrink or leave them as default, looks pretty same in "Paralives" game... and I was super sad and disappointed that "Life by You" was cancelled with a ridiculous decision...that was not an excuse...anyway... I think, the name "Project Rene" instead of "The Sims 5" is more catchy...

As an Sims Lover from Sims 1 to Sims 3 im not really interested anymore. Sims 4 is out for so long and it seems that nothing works. Looking forward for Inzoi its really time for some good competition. EA feels way to safe in what their doing. Addons are really a joke most of them are really empty and not made with love. It has a nice build Mode definetly but im really over the shallownes of Sims 4 really... Thats why with Sims 4 they presented the "Mood" System so they can pretend that their sims have character but they dont. The sims from past titles had much more character without the need of showing everywhere what kind of mood theyre in.....

The sims franchise has just gotten so lazy and money hungry and it’s really disappointing because these games hold a really special place in my heart. Ever since the sims 4 I’ve lost more hope for the sims 5 and seeing this I don’t think I’ll even get it tbh. nope not getting 5 spent enough money on 1-4 which i don't mind too much but it looks like you can't recolor the stuff unless your in game and i don't like that i like to make my own recolors and share them. that's what i hated about 3 i couldn't recolor i did for 2 it's where i started. As for realistic i don't really care either way. I just want to be able to recolor

Am I the only one excited about the cartoonish look? Ive never been a fan of hyper realism in videogames. Or maybe depends on what type of videogame. I remember when the Sims 4 was gonna come out how much everyone was complaining about the more cartoony look but I fell in love instantly

Alot of us grew up with the sims bought ever dlc I feel in love with the sims because of its "realistic" yet fun gameplay but lets be honest the sims 4 slowly killed the franchise and the sims 5 with just looks alone dosen't look appealing. Maybe they can rebrand kids and it'll work out as a E rated game but with inzoi coming out I think the sims is truly dead..
