- Опубліковано 28 бер 2017
- Barbarian hordes feast on the dying Roman empire. The most dangerous of these invaders are the Huns and their ferocious king, Attila. After pouring out of the Caspian steppes, looting and burning all the while, the Huns become so powerful that the Romas Empire is forced to pay a tribute to Attila. But the king of the Huns is still not satisfied, and he mobilizes his horsemen to invade Gaul and eventually Rome itself!
Can nothing stop the brutal Attila?

Also, Viper just defeats everyone before they can even start producing their units lol.
Viper is lucky he got carried hard by Burgundy
Sometimes you just have an off day, y'know? It's good to have strong allies like Burgandy to help you out.
The Viper is clearly new at this, it's always good to have teammates like Burgundy to learn from.
Burgundy is a shit ally from what I had learned from my encounters. I had to carry them, and they were stealing my resources too!
Lieutenant Toy Freddy really?? They help me defeat Romen army
Burgundy is basically a meme at this point.
It always bugged me that the roman army scattered after reaching Orlean's TC. Really took the bite out of what could have been a desperate defense to the uninitiated.
Literally just here for the flawless pronounciation of Orlèans.
WobboWobbo Orlaan. Maybe its the correct pronunciation. lol
24:55 "Oh, here we go. Cataphracts. Only one. Heh."
*smirk*
"Ok, two...three..."
*smirk intensifies*
"...four...fiv--oh, OK"
That moment when you go "Oh shit"
Okay two
three
four
five
#ohno
ty for NOT spoiling it :)
retreat XD
“I have paladinos though...well...they are fully upgraded though...OMG they keep coming RETREAT” lmaooo
"Now build a castle in our town, you have 10 minutes." Seems fair
The burgundians are such assholes, first they killed Joanna, now this. xD
not necessarily in that order ;)
Imagine IRL; "Build a castle, you have 10 minutes"
33:43 that's interesting, I see the roman empire had an army of 99, when I played they had 145. I guess the longer you wait the bigger their army grows.
Burgundy = MBL?
Felt similar

Movimento Brasil Livre
I love Vipers reaction when the romans show up and wipe his paladins. Complete gold
Your 2 TC start was way too fast for the AI :D
I have this strange feeling that Burgundy might be controled by Toplo.
How do you mean? Did Burgundy delete its TC just before viper killed it?
@@thomasvrielink299 Perhaps
"build a castle in our town. YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES" (14:05)
lol
My favorite scenario finally !!!!
The Catalaunian fields! The biggest battle in history
THAT FARM REFRESHING ON 22:15 !!!!!
Burgundy probably would've been more useful if you hadn't destroyed so much of their stuff before allying them.
I really think that Byzantine and Frank should have bloodline for their cavalry. In AoK, when bloodline didn't exist, Byzantine Elite Cataphract and Franks Paladin were the true powerhouses back then. But now Franks seems so weak, and Byzantine Cataphract loses too easily vs even Cavaliers.
Sleepy Alchemist, you are soooo right. I've been saying this for ages. The Franks whole purpose is the knight line dominance they bring. In castle age your knights always the strongest and your cavs and pala's also. The cataphract was special because it was a different kind of powerhouse that just wasn't easily countered by anything. For years both those lines have lost their edge. Franks is nothing more than a mediocre civ that can go pala+HC+bombard with thrash, and nothing else. Byz is still strong and the cataphract perhaps too, but not as strong as it was. Shame.
Tapiola666: It's not only a gaming problem it's foremost a HISTORICAL problem!
You have here as a result, the exact inverted history: Africans and Amerindians colonized by weak and late in tech Europeans.
So BRAVO mericans! GOOD JOB!
Start to get out of gaming problems, geeks, REAL life is more important than gaming fun!
Marc, you need help. What ever is wrong with you, you should get it fixed
I feel like bloodlines would be too op on franks tbh, probably just buff their infantry a little bit so that throwing axeman are actually viable.
Barbarian with Paladin defeat the Roman army??
Roman:"how the fak do they have Paladin??"
I like how he uses advertisments as cliffhangers lol
now we have a useless ally - viper 2k17
In This Video: The Burgundies Receive no love from Viper :(
Man I just finished watching the previous one like a couple of minutes ago and was wondering if the next one was up yet... Well, now it is.
This is one of my all-time favorite scenarios in the game.
burgundy mvp
i hope this series of videos will never end
9:05 That's what a Siege Workshop would be called if there were a Nazi civ.
I'm currently trying to suppress my laughter and failing.
Did you like the Roman surprise? (^_-)
That's what I call "reinforcements".
What?!?! I literally just got into bed!
Hahaha. Me too. Now I need to stay up for another 30mins :D
same here bro 😂😂
Not that I'm complaining
nobody is 😁
maistromann II
I always chuckle a bit when you say Orleans
Tip of the day (especially for the Viper): if you want a strong ally, don't kill his entire pop before. (^_-)
And yes, if there are flags placed in a round like that, it's not just for an aesthetic purpose (remember Bavaria?).
At least you can trade (^_^).
And finally, again, you will NEVER have an ally in a scenario who will make the job (victory) for you (it's not like in multiplayer, it makes no sense here!).
You should have thought: "if I destroy the TC and he turns ally, if I kill all his vils before, he will never be able to rebuild!"
Viper should have tributed Burgundy 300 wood and 100 stone so they would rebuild their tc
True, the only thing they were good for was trading, if you are a terrible player like me you will run out of the small gold patches on the map after a while.
But they are never a strong ally. I played this much slower than Viper, and didn't kill too many of Burgundy's villagers or their TC, but they still make almost nothing but a small # of feudal age archers and groups of 2-3 M@A even two hours into the game.
The Lesson is: Grow fast; Scout thoroughly; Push early and ignore the scenario.
I feel like these campaigns weren't made for THAT high level of play. I think if you would have done a 4 tc boom the AI would have had time to mass an army of their own. Now you only had to defeat the units that were allready on the map.
vipers resource management is unreal,
That Tower mastapiece won the game :D
I waited all game for the roman army to arrive, I remembered that it was pretty impressive
Now THAT is a reinforcement. Unlike the one in that one Mongol Mission.
Damn Biper you are 2gut4dis
Seriously tho, i like this map but its kinda anticlimatic the way the Roman army shows up. Ideally they should spawn as you start leying siege to Orleans, and engage in battle in formation. The way that they go 1 by 1 and scatter around the map makes this map much less epic that it could have been
They must have changed this in DE, since when I played a couple weeks ago they came in one single massive group (they were the legions and centurions as well so there is some stuff that's clearly changed)
@@annaairahala9462 yup just played this scenario a couple days ago and there was like 100 of them spawned all at once, marched together, and steamrolled me all the way back into a corner until I could finally rebuild and push back.
A lot of the classic missions are harder in DE now because the AI is actually smart and can't be lured around the map one by one. They will raid your economy and focus siege weapons rather than easily being baited into attacking superior units.
Your pronunciation of Orléans was fine! Metz was a bit less good though. The "t" is silent, so basically it's just said like "mess". I love that campaign series, it's always very enjoyable to watch you play them!
Damn, I really remember this scenario being harder than you made it look. Orlèans is a hard nut to crack usually, but you kind of just waltzed in there. So TIL the Viper is a better player than me, I guess? 11
I mean, he does have more experience playing the game, so yeah.
what's this "11" stuff?
Burgundians against French: menacing, have a lot of soilders, and kill everyone in their path
Burgundians against Huns:
Dat feel when Viper chose the same spot for the first TC as I did. #feelsgoodman
next level is very intimidating
This mission is very hard.
You Huns have burned your last town.... "Are they gonna resign?" Lol
It upsets me, beating this on Hard on DE, and then watching theViper just run through the whole mission in no time at all, after getting nearly wiped by the Roman Empire when I have a full 150 pop army and max upgrades and 5 castles xD so triggering. #GetGoodMe
I think you can build over those university statue things...
Thumbs up for the one man at arms that Biper trained towards the end
g00dbyemisterA converted it actually
Finally!
I was in the wrong place when I built the castle for Burgundy, they said "flag" So I built the castle by the flag. Then I saw the viper, gosh the castle was built in the middle of the flag it was. I went so far as to build castles twice in Burgundy. Eventually they became enemies, and I had a hard time fighting other enemies. 😅
Viper, I challenge you to give the AI 5-10 minutes in game head start at each map. To make it more interesting ;)
I'd like to see you try this on the new DE. Also, if you give the AI time to build, this level becomes a massive slog. Red and purple are easily dealt with but Cyan refused to die. I battered them for hours and they just kept spamming Paladins and monks and I couldn't find out where they were coming from. And the Roman army showed up early because I destroyed the TC so I had both French Paladins and Elite Cataphracts to deal with. Borderline impossible.
Wow only 34 min... Viper when i was 13 i decided to play through all the campaigns like this on hard. This map was a bane on my play through, you see i had around 75 vills and 15 traders to max trade with Burgundy to survive, and i stalled out the others until they ran out of wood, by walling the river crossings i think i was full trash of hussars the thing is that it took 32 ingame hours, it was a hellish time for me... and seeing some foibles of yours in the campains makes me feel worse, because of the time i spent on this mission. PS 13 year old did not like siege so ya.
Burgundy is a useful ally if you give them time. I think the AI was just confused since by the time it was ready to send units out to aid you, you already destroyed the bases lol.
Nope. Never of use, I gave them time and they remained a Greek tragedy forever.
Eecke Utstri!
I always thought the value of having Burgundy as an ally was to trade with the market.
Better recording quality than usual?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how come you don't make horse archers as the huns?
Viper needs to start saving games after he completes objectives, or the new campaigns are gonna be a massive pain for him.
I want to see how he beats Forgotten 'Campaigns' without saves :-D.
Mainly these stupid hero micros with even more stupid objectives XD.
If he manages to beat all the Dracula scenarios without saving and doesn't lose, Viper is truly the god of Aoe2.
in my game, burgundy destroyed the monestary. that was pretty much all they did besides scouting.
Burgundy is a new meme I guess? :D
sorry! but how u get wireframe on map like that?
you get them as an ally for the market
You could have sniped with a treb at a samurai in the top right of the map to defeat the roman army early (before the army came).
Young Lee wait till he does the Japanese mission in the the extra conquerors campaign. I bet even the viper loses the first objective of the mission
If you really don't want to reinforcements to arrive, all you need to do is block the road which they use to come through, and the trigger bugs, and no units appear. Two squares of road, far west.
I don't see the point though, it's more fun to beat the Romans into submission, remind them who's boss around here :D
They will also join when you have a big army
Idea for a challange next stream: choose one unit as a hero and keep it alive to the end of the game.
The fighting with Orleans was badass
They tried to put up a fight!
Resistance
The Romans too!
Dogfight! The snowy background is badass, too!
Game is perfect for a cold day indoors in winter!
Score!
good thing they took out that post.........
Purple ally once again !
are u the Viper that's all over the Aoe2 multiplayer videos?
viper bethrothal is another word for fiancee
Someday play lepanto's battle
The Viper fighting Orléans once again.
Here's a tip from an actual pro, cause Viper's clearly new.
There's a blue unit hidden on the very top of the map (north). If you kill him before destroying the third TC, you won't have to defeat the Roman army, just defeat the last town. The Romans will still spawn, but the objective for defeating them will show up as already completed. Also, to get to that unit, you'll have to go through a few rows of trees (about five) and kill him from range. I converted him with monks for an instakill
lies
Why didn't Viper know you can use "Spy"? You used it once before.
I need 2 hrs to win this one omg, Regards from Venezuela "The man" @TheViperAOC - Age of Empires 2
I yesterday played this mission and the next. This one was easy, next one pretty hard! :o
prob not for this man tho..
seriously? i just wanted to got to bed right now :@
Trible_G night mate
Red should have more army
We have the secret to why yellow is his favourite. The yellow paladins are the prettiest. grassViper
I wonder why I play with yellow...
21:55 rekt
Why exactly Viper is called Biper sometimes?
because of the streamer membrillo who speaks all names with a spanish accent
@@jordyschonthaler6638 I thought some people said it as it was some sort of meme when someone (take Sogomn for example) accidentally pressed "B" instead of "V" but now it makes sense to me. Thanks for the clarification on that.
Do you guys also press F3 button to pause the video? :D
say Orléans one more time please :D
Biper can you reply to me? You have 10 minutes.
viper, u should not attack everything so early xD, your too god damn good, please also actually do all objectives, like the one where u ally with purple, even if it really isnt worth it, it does make it more intresting
also, if viper reads these, ( id appreciate an indication if u do ) then for your information i think you werent supposed to kill burgundy's town center, that weakens them and thats probs why they hardly did anything, dunno if they make another after that first one, thats the thing
yeah you dont need to take the tc down to make them switch sides... but they are kinda useless anyway
I do try to read all of the comments, but it's hard to reply to that many ;) but for everyone commenting, I do catch most, if not all of them!
Which objectives did he miss? Looks to me like he got everything.
How do you persuade them to join you? I always destroyed their TC, as well. However, that was before the AI was this "advanced" and they rebuilt it and were actually doing something. This AI never rebuilds their TC.
Dead El Cid in the final Ed Cid mission is an alternate reality where Biper killed him while trying to micro Cav Archers
Glob Spoiler alert! the viper hasn't played that one yet!
omg how dare you spoil history >_>
James Bufferland The campaigns don't necessarily follow history to a tee, and not everyone knows El Cid's story.
AoE Freak agreed hopefully more people learn my story when viper plays through
EL CID Thank you. Is the internet connection good in heaven?
Burgundy carried the game. #clearly
u know that huns UT gives 50% discount on spies? u could have paid only 700 gold for spies if u researched it.
harooooo1 What are your talking about man? Through Hun UT wonder victories need 100 years longer to be completed.
Atheism (+100 years for Relic/Wonder victories and Spies/Treason cost -50% less
Oh wow really? I'm sorry then, I never realized it had that effect as well.
We should do a bet on which campaign will the viper lose. My money is on the 2nd mission from Gajah Mada
Kevin Andrei Ocampo Alonso i really want to see him play the second scenario of bari. that scenario its a pain in the ass.
Kevin Andrei Ocampo Alonso I think the first or second of the Ethiopians when you are limited to the feudal age and the other team has unlimited resources is one of the toughest to play for the first time.
I feel he'll lose in the first mission in Dracula. He generally struggles in that sort of mission. Agincourt in Battles of the Conquerors will also be interesting.
That 2nd Gajah Mada is a pain in the ass indeed, but I could manage to complete it in one try due to my luck on finding the reinforcements early. The whole city is a hell to walk through.
My hardest one so far in new campaign is one of the Viet campaign where you need to def against unlimited chinese army. That one is a torture (although I think it's easier if you took the correct path unlike what I did)
He technically already lost a campaign: 2-2 Joan of Arc!
What is your elo on aoe 2?
Dude he's like the top player in the world right now
he is pretty new clearly
Probably similar to top 100 GMs in chess: ~2650-2800. A quick search finds that he hasn't reached 2800+ like the world chess champion (Magnus Carlsen from Norway) and world #2 and 3 in chess, but has reached ~2700 before, where most of the top 50 chess gms are (2700s). While he is the best, AoE2 has a few elements of chance, unlike chess, so I would surmise that this factor, perhaps among others, makes it harder for him to completely dominate to the point of reaching or breaking 2800.
go do it again today, this here looks like kid mode compared to newest game update
If you open the full map, u will see the wolf in the forest on the north of the map corner.
and u can send the archer or anything can shot it, when u finished the Orleans,
then you can skip to fight with Rome. =)))
DE version of this mission has AI which develops faster, at least that's how it looked to me. Also the Roman army was really huge, they really meant it when saying that quote and could back it up. Had to kite that army all the way to main base, use castles, plenty of horse archers and town centers to thin them out. In hindsight building a mini Great Wall would stop them solid in their tracks, because they brought zero siege weaponry. Huns are crap at defensive play though, not many University upgrades.
burgundy still better than mbl
Catalunia is what we call today Barcelona. Any football nutjob can tell you that info!
Cataluña (Barcelona) in english is Catalonia. Catalaunian fields are in France.
Ah... whoops!
the true map (way more complicated campaign):

And btw, it's Or-Lay-Ans.
I cringe everytime you pronounce Orléans
