My grandfather's orchestra was the house band at the 500 Club for several years and is the band performing on this album. ❤ His name was Johnny Civera, the guy Sammy thanks at the end of the recording. I have his copy of this album but it has a few skips... your's is perfect. Thank you so much for posting this!!!
Thanks, recordsrob, for posting this "Lost Classic"!!!! This (along with the November,,1962 "VILLA VENICE" Performance & Dino's 1959 Friar's Club Roast" are the TOPS! - "Brent the Gent"
Awww I'm glad I found this omg!! Theez men I adore, I haven't seen talent like this today, what class and flavor. I love you my "ratpack" buddies, I'm always in a better mood after watching/ listening to my classy ' ratpack"
I just love these guys. It’s only a matter of time though before some snowflake comes across one of these recordings, takes it out of context and tries to have Sinatra and Dean “cancelled” and washed away from public view. It’s disgusting, but that’s just how politically correct, hypocritical, self-righteous, and petty people on the left have become. It’s one of my most loathsome fears, but I know that it’s coming. It’s getting pretty out of hand. They are trying their damndest to re-write history. Thanks for sharing by the way, I’ve loved these guys since I was nine, and I had known about this recording for years, but wasn’t expecting to come across it on UA-cam of all places! It’s a new listen for me, I’ve never heard it before! Thanks pally! 🥂🚬🎲🎰🎲🎰🥁🎰🎲🎲🎲🎙🎥📽🎞📻🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎼🥁🎷🎺🎼
14 months before my birthday. But, I wish I could of been one of those drunks in the audience at the famous 500 club in Atlantic City. Skinny D’Mato, God bless you, wherever you are!! 😂
Any chance this can be put on cd? I know someone who has this record but no longer has a record player. Would pay for the cd to be made and sent if possible
Sinatra performed these 7-8 shows a night as a favor to some say mafia pals...like skinny damato..hope i spelled that right...which took in huge amounts of cash. side bar....sammy davis jr. mom was also in AC at thiis time where she ran a bar
It says in the beginning of the record, this was the 4am show. I love Sinatra and the rat pack but, Who the hell would want to go see a show at 4am! I prefer the 9pm or 10pm show.
Not a radio show. According to my grandfather whose orchestra was performing for this recording, the 4AM breakfast show at the 500 was a common occurrence. People would stay out all night and finish up with a great breakfast, more alcohol and live music... what a time!
@@stephanieclineman137 I bet those days were pretty wild. Can you imagine all the pussy Sinatra had every night. Brother, that's the life, singing for your summer, and balling and drinking all night long! I imagine Sinatra had a ball back then. What a life! But he got carried away some times. You can't drink like that every night and act crazy. There were times Ol' Blue Eyes would get carried away and start shit with the working class casino shift workers. That's when I draw the line. Those folks are there to make a living. He went after many working class casino people for no reason except he was in a pissed off mood. Coming from working class people, that's where I gotta draw the line Frankie. Many of those casino people were there to support their family. They didn't share in the Rat Pack fuck everybody fun! They were working stiffs grinding out a living Francis!

You're certainly welcome. I play it often and don't get tired of it at all.

It sounds like 4:00am....How totally fun...

I have been packed up to move for 8 months. Long story. I would do it if it wasn't for that.
I wish I knew sound engineering so I could clean up this sound.
I re-EQ'd this when I recorded it. So, it's better sounding, but it is what it is. It's still a great listen.
