This is the first full video I’ve watched, and I’m pleasantly surprised at how great of an interview Math is. He’s actually asking the questions people wants to know and it’s not just a conversation like Million Dollars worth Of game.

@@prodbyfranco85 that’s a fact! The main thing successful ppl all have in common is determination. Some ppl get an assist and some ppl have to do it all on their own, but they all have to be committed. It can sound “ cheesy “ but we really can achieve what we set our minds to.

He’s an all time great, but he’s no better than Nottz, Khrysis, Black Milk, Focus… who did LB’s last album. Those are all greats. So it’s all good either way IMO. All those LB records with 9th will never go away, regardless.

better way is to say "they told the stories over instruments." some griots (djali/jali/djeli, grewel, etc, among the mande and wolof in west afrika, for example) didn't play instruments while they recited. they had accompanists, even though many could also play instruments. t he music was very much like the soundtrack of a movie, only deeper. in burkina faso, the accompanist played his drum to imitate the voice of the storyteller to highlight or empathize particular parts or nuances of the story(ies).

Philly...good heart. Way too real. Need that man in front of every mic ASAP and in a classroom. We need one of these moguls to find the talent with the knowledge the people need and pay them so much that it is worth dedicating their lives to teaching more of our people, then do it 20 more times. That is how you start a revolution. Make a full pipeline. Post K-12 education/art school/record label. Give everyone in the value stream a percentage to get them invested in the success of the students, unlike the current graduate education system that doesn't care who succeeds and puts the blame on the student if the system pays them scraps because it cant capitalize on them, or robs them even more if it can.

Imagine going to Hip-hop class! I know a fair share Hip-hop history but I'm looking for a book on it, any recommendations? So far I found, "Can't Stop Won't Stop", "The Big Payback", "The Rap Year Book", "Original Gangstas". I don't feel like any of them are a general and complete history though, with a chronological breakdown.
