According to Revo, it is. Their stage one software brings this to 300-315BHP, with 318-333lbft, impressive! The MK5 with that EA888 block with a software upgrade was excellent, so this plus Quattro would be insane!

Why did you sell it? and what did you replace it with?
I sold it because it wasn't fun enough for me. It was a very refined car and the gear box was shit had the worst feel to it ever, yes it was fast but thats all it had going for it tbh. felt very unstable at speed, the steering was so light and you could never feel the car. I now have a fiesta st MK7, such a better drivers car, the only thing that is missed is the 4WD but wheel spinning under acceleration just adds to the drama and makes it fun to drive

I wish garages would give me cars to try for a few hours how do you get them to let you use them... Is it just because of your UA-cam page or do you know them?
Age and time you have held your licence are big factors along with price and spec hope this helps :D

Glad you have done this video as I was so close to ordering one until the dealer wouldn't budge from the £29k price and can't justify spending that on an A1!! But this has made me want one again:(
The S1 is such an awesome little pocket rocket, for £25k I think it's pretty good value, and looks amazing in Sepang Blue. Can't really be compared with the A45 AMG since that's got like 130-140 more bhp and costs almost double the price, they're both epic though.

there is not a big difference between the s1 and a45,
they have the same max speed (260) and a small diferrence in the acceleration,
the S1 is more powereful from 70 to 150km/h then any other card.
s1 owner opinion.
A1 is much smaller than the a class you have To Compare the rs3 with the a45
I really like the S1 it looks a right laugh (bright red for me I think , and good job with the video .
I'd paint it black, no S badges. And leave everyone behind at the traffic light! So funny when people think your car is slow.
Following your description... It's pretty much a classier VW Golf GTI or R, depending on the performances... Looks real good though!
Love these hot hatches, have a 595 abarth with 220bph and 270 torque, they're fun cars to drive!
You need to do more of these! They are awesome however I think you need to do a little reading beforehand so you know the facts and figures.
A standard s1 would be pretty fun but with a stage 1 revo you can get just over 300 and a boot full more torque and then it must be pretty mental and a stage 4 or 5 i believe can take to just short of 500hp, with a different turbo and injectors etc but that would be crazy

I really struggled to watch this video without shaking my head and rolling my eyes, he's clueless about cars!

Then he gets in and straight away starts making comparisons about the gear stick in an Audi S1 compared to his R8...did he really expect them to be the same? Or even comparable???
He seems much more interested in MOAR EXHAUST TIPS and NEEDZ WRAP AND MOAR MATTE FINISH like a 12 year old school boy than the actual engineering that's gone into this car. Although frankly I'm glad he's not talking about the engineering that's gone into it because he clearly does not have a clue.

I have a yellow 3 door and it's remapped up to 310 bhp and 440 nm torque. It's seriously quick. I had a drag race with an rs5 before its was mapped and he could not get away. I think now I would have him lol

Has this basically got the same engine as the ED30 MK5 GTI with the K04 turbo? If so, it has phenomenal tuning potential.
Nope has the EA888 engine found in the mk7 gti,r, s3, tt.
It doesn't, well it's deprived from it but the engines from the PP GTI
I'm still contemplating one of these however I'm pritty much ticking want on every option going which is racking up the price :(
Not a big fan of the 4 exhaust pipes to be honest. Something like the exhaust pipes on Fiesta ST would fit a small car like this a lot better in my opinion.

Definitely a real pocket rocket, but as you say Paul, tiny. Not sure why they put 4 doors on it, I suspect it would be real hard to get 2 adults in the back, but I guess 2 kids would be fine. They are fifty grand in Oz, and only come with a dual clutch auto.
I'm chipping mine next week, 300 bhp and 450NM in an S1 👍

I drive an Audi A1 1.2l as a daily and I have had the luck to drive the Audi S1 for 3 hours in a row. Which I have to say: The S1 is a fun little bomb to drive! But the performance isn't that spectacular. 230 bhp is a lot for its size still the new TT, with the same engine specs, is a lot more fun to drive.
If I had the money for a S1, I'd rather buy a second handed TT RS. Less headroom in the back, but some lunatic performance in return.
Try out the alfa romeo mito SBK. It is insane!!!!
I'd buy the new Honda Civic Type R, job done.
I would have a samoa orange with black contrast roof and grill with 28inch 5 arm rotors

The audi probably has 70 - 30 % power to front and back. Sometimes it does 50 - 50 but only in tight situations

I thought from reading the title of the video that Audi had let him drive the Quattro S1 from the group B rallying days, that would of been good, but nevertheless it was still a good watch. Hey Paul blag Audi to let you have a go in he iconic sport Quattro from the 80's.

I really like the idea of this car - small, powerful, desireable. But even if I could buy one I don't think I would. End of the day, it's a fast Audi. And nothing says "I'm a twat' quite like that.

He is filming cars he is offered. You want to see other cars then offer him one then. He can't access lamborghini's and ferrari's every week
