not to talk down on your way of bodywork but is there a reason that you dont prep your metal with 36 grit or 40 grit for good adhesion for me i hate to even try to apply my plastic over anything less than 80 on a orbital sander i know we all do it our own way but i just thought to ask your opinion im sorry to ask these questions but im not one of those guys that jump on here and say hey great job buddy i like to get guys to talk about the way things get done and to get opinions of other guys
@@ronmiller1162 Hello, I’m no expert on anything and always look for better ways of doing things. I use 80 grit to prep and then lay down filler. I started doing cars back in the 80s and still see some of them around. They look the same as the day i did them as crazy as it sounds. @@johncoleman7380 I try not to. If the paint has good adhesion to the metal I will go over it. I hit the paint with 80 grit and it wouldn’t come off even with the metal condition it fought so there should be no problem with it. Thank you for watching. Happy new year to you and your family 👍🏼AL
