Del Monico is great- I highly recommend them, too. They always seem to have the widest selection and best prices. I used to give Kevin’s old store priority because he’s the best, but if they didn’t carry what I was looking for, Del Monico seemed to have it every time with reasonable prices and excellent service.
I really appreciate bit, I know Aida’s inventory began drastically shrinking right when Covid hit, and I know we had very few good lines, just a couple..but you stuck with me anyway, that means so much to me. Now that I’m not attached, these guys are just brilliant! They’re a little bit far to commute every day, but close enough to visit m so that I can take you guys on a little tour there.

Correction at 20:52 I mistakenly said that the Stetson Runabout travel hat doesn’t have a sweatband inside. What I meant to say is that it doesn’t have a leather sweatband. (It has a cloth sweat since it’s a travel hat)
Great video. I l started buying hats from DelMonico back in 1981 and ended up being the Retail and Wear-house manager in 2012. I loved working there until I left to work for Hatco. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of Mr. DelMonico and I miss him since his passing. Ben and his Brother are doing a great job keeping the store running.

I spoke with a salesperson from Delmonico when I was shopping for a BEAVER not a fur felt . The young was so helpful over the phone I took the ride from Long Island to the store .One of few places were you can find a Beaver felt.

Delmonico is terrific! They exchanged a straw hat for me because it just didn't fit right. Then, when I guessed wrong on the size of the exchanged hat- they replaced that one as well!
I live pretty close to New Haven. A little over a half hour ride for me about 40 minutes... Let me know when you are going to take the train.. If I don't have to work I'll meet you there.( I used to drive city bus in New Haven for about six years.. But that's another story for another time).
That was kewl! I have a suggestion now that you don’t have an employer affiliation with Stetson, how about looking into some other Western brands. I know people don’t wear them very much in NY and they don’t wear them here in the Northern KY/OH area except when showing horses 🐴 in western classes at the fairs. Yes we still have them and they are just the sweetest things 💖. Anyway, there is a really great Western Wear shop called Cavenders that has everything you could ever need to be authentic out west. They have a brick and mortar store and a website. I ordered my Rodeo King from them. They have premium quality everything, good prices and excellent customer service 👍. It’s just a suggestion now that you do whatever you with regard to brands and styles. I’m really looking forward to the changes you will be making with your channel. Ive seen a video fornthe dual color fedora but what i didnt like is that they decapitate the hat and then sow it back together with then opposite part of another hat of a different color. When i saw thay my thought was that the hat would not last more then 2 years if lucky.

Great idea, I want European customers to be able to buy Stetsons. The guys who bought my old shop signed a seal for all of Europe that they cannot get Stetson USA in the entire continent, they can only get the fake, wool imitation crap that’s not made by Stetson. It’s made by Stetson Europe, a random brand that purchased the Stetson name for millions, to use in Europe exclusively. People buy them thinking they’re Stetsons,then see the made in China label, it’s nasty business, and not above board imo. I think Europe should be able to buy any brand of hats they want to buy!!!
My green one is a custom made Borsalino that you cannot get anymore. I am taking orders for a replica hat I will be making soon with magill hats,the price will be $255-275 and it’ll look the same. Keep watching if you want to order one, I’ll take orders soon
I don't think Delmonico ship to Europe though🙁 TBH, for quite a while, I was frustrated with JJ's for a long time, they had no Stetsons, no Borsalinos, and no new Fernandez y Rocher for so long. Actually very little choice in felt. DH has a way better selection but don't ship to Ireland.
I know, it was frustrating not having anything to sell too. Making sales very difficult for us, too. I’ll be doing spots on more hat shops, I’ll try to get to them all!

That is where I get my hats. Very happy I don't need to go into NYC, just drop of the highway go a few turns and park on the street and walk right in.
