my siku has doors like that too, but they can break if you want to make it more fitting i guess. i also have the matchbox version which is way nicer. one is with the skinny superfast wheels, that doesnt need a paintjob though its not mint, but the earlier one with the yellow rims and loose tires, and i have all 4, that one could use a paintjob. have to watch your vid on that again
I left a like because I like your work. This car tho. I'd probably leave it lie in the $.01 bin at the thrift shop. I can't resist a good C Coupe either...but this really.....isnt one. Kudos regardless.
Nice resto, as always! Solid are great cars I’m general, however some have the wrong proportions. The same happen with other brands as hot wheels etc. cheers!
I noticed that oddly unbefitting front, too, also on many other castings. I believe they all went for the Mk1 version. the Mk2 had a different front with the iconic shapes and headlights, Mk3 was a kit car, and Mk4 was, finally, the ferrari beater Henry Ford Mk2 wanted. I agree with the proportions, Siku often didn't pay much attention to those, up into mid-80's even. seems like playability and looks wer emore important than accuratesse. the steering wheel cutout is to allow for the door hinge. it's hard to see when doors are closed, though. I have an even older version of this casting, with the old wheels and separate headlights made of yellow transparent plastic. there is a similar casting of the Porsche 906, too. needs attention, as well. XD that being said, nice work. the powder blue looks almost accurate to siku's original, though that was a standard paint colour back when.
The GT-40 looks really nice! The color os a good match too. Thanks for sharing this.

I agree the matchbox gt is a better realistic casting good resto on the siqu model
I love a Siku. Some of their proportions are a bit off at times, but on the whole great castings.
Very Nice

👍
The tail end is recognisable but the whole car is the wrong shape. Not one of their best.🤔
