I went for my daughters graduation @ CMU in 2019. From my observation it was like 45% Indians 45% China. Rest 10%. It is a good college. But on the expensive side. She took a loan for it. She paid off the loan in the first year itself.
On which subject she pursued MS?

@@biswarupdasgupta2961 Not CS. It is IS. There is a big difference. IS has lot of integration of CS and Management. CS is hard core stuff like algorithms, databases etc. IS is how to use computers to develop competitive advantage.

Well to be clear , a 6.0 cgpa in BITS Pilani is average+ , the grading here is very hard. You don't get grades as easily as in IITs
I know, my friend in Bits Goa just fell off a little bit from studies and his pointer for that semester dropped to a 6. But it's not hard to score well in the exams too

One question which is unanswered is that any uni will have a prerequisite that you must have studied some fixed credit points of courses related to CS in order to get admit, now this guy is from mechanical so obvio he shouldn't be qualified for most places but what he did so they took him, that's what i wanna know, i am from EEE so i need an answer so plz help if u anyone got any idea.
The university will provide a list of prerequisite course which u can complete there and continue MS

Switching majors is allowed only in USA... But I'm not too sure about other countries either it may also depend upon universities

In my case I was from electronics background and wanted to go for cs in us, that bas a barrier
I spend a year preparing for gate, and then another year I tried for gre, so that was 2 yr gap that was barrier number 2
I don't think you have these problems, so would be fine for you
