I did a grad scheme with Deloitte soon after graduating. I had experience and felt like I got the opportunity of a lifetime. However, at the start of the training, representative's from the firm told us they want people with Deloitte in their DNA - I knew I wasn't going to be there for a long time. The fact that it was soulless put me off more than the high pressure environment. When they brought in the senior management, they acted as if the pope had come into the building. I knew I wouldn't be there long. I also think that the scheme/training was not representative of their work environment and the entire experience did little for my prospects, it got me more interviews with other grad employers and that was it.
Good job 👍
thanks mate

very interesting insight and agree with the benefit of getting the other interviews
@solhyde sometimes just getting the interview and application experience is more important than getting an opportunity. Thank you for your time.
