For those saying do not defrag. Optimizing isn't defraging. At least not for SSDs. When you click the optimize button it will do things accordingly to a SSD or a HDD. So don't worry about it at all, you're not breaking anything
im using crystal disk info and my ssd is 99%(good) but disk usage sometimes goes 100% without doing any tasks and quite annoying me for gaming… please help
@@kondaashok8370 SSD can only write a limited amount of data before they become useless, and by defraging, you're making sure to use a lot of that writting power to do something you really shouldn't.
Okay thank you so much for showing that optimization one I didn't no it seem like things are good now the only question I have mine all day good but 2 of my ssds say good but with % with it like my older SSD is a sata SSD saying good 92% the other this year says 97% and the other is brand new do that's 100% what doe the % mean and should I be worried if they are dropping?
@@yohenson ssds not only run faster when they are fragmented because the micro controller isn't working a single dimm too hard but also lasts longer because you aren't stressing the whole dimm. Basically you are getting small chunks of data thought the SSD instead of just stressing a single part of it which also helps it to run cooler which is an under looked aspect of how SSDs die
@@TrooperManaic Windows 10 optimizes drives and it is not defragging it. Those are two different things. Your information is dated as that was only an issue when SSDs were first introduced. That being said I don't know if there is actually a benefit to doing it or not.
Lol idk dude thats drive specific. I have a crucial mx500 250gb i bougbt brand new, used as an os drive for 4 years before it was turned into a game drive. Its still active in my system right meow

Make sure it identifies it as SSD, I have had Windows identify SSD as HDD, it usually happens when I use a drive enclosure.
Mouse cursor lag and slow down occasionally is this had to do anything with SSD health

Windows doesnt allow for Defragging for SSD's optimisation is a different thing dont worry. The option to Defrag SSD's isnt even there.
