Monica: Oh yea, when? Chandler: Alright, I'll tell you what. When we're 40, if neither of us are married, what do you say, you and I get together and have one. Monica: Why won't I be married when I'm 40??? Then by the tenth season they're married and have twins! :)
And also when Monica wanted to have a baby that time (to get over Richard) and she was looking at the profiles of potential sperm donors Chandler changed her mind by telling her that he imagined her one day having ''a boy, twin girls, and another boy''. He predicted that she was going to have twins (even if they weren't both girls).

Courtney was pregnant at the time, and I think that really influenced her acting...when she says 'we are taking them home, because they are our children' it sounds so genuine I want to cry :)
Courtney Cox's line delivery at 2:02 is amazing. You can see just how hard Monica fought to become a mom and how she'll continue to fight for her children in the future. That character truly deserved her happy ending.
Exactly, since the beginning Monica wanted a family and went through so much in her journey to wife and mother; walking away from the man she loved and would possibly marry someday (Richard) after learning he didn’t want more children, being patient with Chandler’s commitment issues that he eventually overcame and then both learning they had little chance of conceiving a baby on their own. Courtenay’s delivery carries even more meaning when you realize she was actually pregnant here after having a miscarriage two years earlier. Both the character and the actor found deserved happiness.
So they aren't identical twins. Some people refer to having one boy and one girl as having a "rich man's family". Not sure why they say that, do people buy that kind of family? Pretty sure it's just luck.

This scene right here is one among the many scenes in Season 10 that makes me scratch my head when others say Chandler became less funny in the latter seasons. So many good and memorable punchlines!
I never agreed about him being funny later. I always found it the other way around. When Mondler was established and Chandler became more mature, he became amazing. And very hilarious.
Chandler was great always but before season 6 he was just pure gold.. He was good then in season 6,7 and 8 but not the same.. Then in season 9 and 10 he raised his game again to give us more great moments..

@@notthefather3919 Well it really wouldn't have been that interesting with Monica. It was interesting with Rachel because she was a single mother and it was interesting with Phoebe because she was a surrogate mother wheras Monica and Chandler would have just been a perfectly normal couple expecting their first child. The adoption was much much more interesting.
The storyline makes you really appreciate couples who struggle with infertility and later decide to adopt children to raise and love. This story line as well as Charlotte's from Sex and the City were very touching to me! The cherry on top is that we get to see Courteney Cox actually pregnant after her personal struggles with miscarriages to finally see that she was able to go full-term with Coco.
