- My daughter's mum is a professional at Christmas! she plans it all year and is really good at it. I need to up my game so my daughter doesn't think I'm a grumpy old man.
I took her to Winter Woodland at Sewerby Hall in Bridlington, I even wore a Christmas jumper!

As far as I'm aware they dont exist down here in the South, but we DID have a lot of large family-run department stores at one time.
Sadly...no more.
It's nice to see a traditional local business that is still proud and thriving.
I MUST get up to Yorkshire before I shuffle off this mortal coil...and learn some of the lingo and see the sights.

The Boyes or boyzies as your mam rightly calls it in Brid is class. Never had out to eat in there though. When I was a kid the one in Hull used to have a cage full of budgies from ceiling to floor were the kids used stand around while their mothers did did the shopping in there. Bit mental when you think back haha

James I think its great you still respect your exes wishes and keep your daughters privacy. From my own personal experience Christmas can be tough for families with kids whose parents are no longer together. You seem to have an amicable arrangement and you should be very proud of yourselves, I wish more could see past point scoring and realise its about having happy children who feel love in both homes (vans😂). Used to go to Brid every 3rd week for 5 nights. I went to all the cafe's "and pubs" in that time and the best is called Five & Two's on Hilderthorpe Rd to the left of the Hilderthorpe public house. Always visited Boyes Store and always came out with something lol

What a shame the van isn't quite big enough for us to see you joining in with the workout at 5:30. Really worthwhile UA-cam content, though. Incidentally, you can get a Dave the elf with a headband so you can wear him on your head with his feet dangling on your shoulders. He really complemented my naturally bah-humbug facial expression last year. Obviously, you're getting some ideas for remodelling the van at 8:10. I do see you in a gentleman's club leather and mahogany environment. I'm afraid, though, that the snooker room's going to have to wait 'til you take a step up to a Transit. Another lovely video. Absolutely brilliant vlog James good old Brid we used to stop at South Shore camp site in a trailer tent 😂😂 it was red hot in summer specially in 1976 showing my age now 😂😂😂 it was lovely to see inside our market do you no I can't believe I haven't been in the new market yet must go got tree out but still no baubles on yet can't stop eating all the mince pies and the Christmas biscuits didn't no Boyes had a cafe we were there in Feb we stayed in P Inn well you have a lovely family ill see thi Friday its a date 😂😂😂🙋♀️👋🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🥳🎉🥳
