Louis Jadot Cote de Nuits Villages “Le Vaucrain” 2014 in the Gloaming (December 2022)

From the archives (December 2022). A visit to Hampstead Heath around twilight (or "the gloaming" as I prefer to call it) and tasting some "cheap" Burgundy - this was just under £30.
Le Vaucrain is a 8.75-acre vineyard in the village of Comblanchien, just to the south of Nuits St Georges, at the southern extreme of the Cote de Nuits area.
I think these "Cote de Nuits Villages" wines can often end up being bargains, being typically a lot cheaper because they're not from within the recognised boundaries of one of the main villages.
