I used to be annoyed with Snow White as a kid and nowadays as an adult I'm like: "She's 14 and forced to do unpaid labor by her stepmom, give her a fucking break."
After everything the poor girl has been through, she deserves nothing but the best.
She’s WAY more proactive and interesting here than she was in the original fairy tale. Disney actually changed a lot from the original story, some of it major, some of it subtle but still important. The Disney film is much better and has aged far better than the original story.
I really don’t like this movie just because she is 14 and acts like it to the extent of having a child-like voice, wearing a bow, etc. Ot just gives me pedo vibes. 🤢

100%, I feel like anyone who tries to make that claim just lacks media literacy because evil people "becoming as ugly as their soul" is a trope older than even Disney.

Snow was sweet and adorable and she wasn't strong but she was also supposed to be 13 or 14 so it makes sense. I just can't handle how small and high pitched her voice is because it's clearly an adult woman trying to do a little voice rather than a tween girl.
That kind of fake baby voice was in style at the time, believe it or not. Definitely the part of the movie that aged worst.
She is strong girl litterally just found out her step mother is trying end her and pushed through and made the best out of her situation

I literally rewatched this movie, like, two days ago. I was obsessed with Snow White and the dwarfs as a kid before I ever actually saw it. It's genuinely a great movie, I love seeing y'all enjoy it.

@@coltkillergaming5685I think people knock on it because Snow White is a “traditionally feminine” character and is kinda passive and dumb in the original story.
Of course, it’s not at all a bad thing to enjoy and be skilled at cooking & cleaning (and the fact that she has banging cooking skills as a teenage scullery maid is pretty impressive on its own), and anyone who actually pays attention should realize that Snow White in the Disney film is far more proactive and interesting than in the original fairy tale. There are actually a ton of changes from the original that Disney made in this film, some obvious and some pretty subtle. But the Disney Snow White is a strong, interesting character and I wish she got more recognition alongside newer and more progressive Disney ladies.

For those who may not know, Snow White is canonically a child who didn’t really have a perfect childhood since I think her mother died from childbirth and her father had a illness where in our time it was minor but back then it was deadly.
To be fair people had to grow up fr quicker at that time, too. You can't compare 14 years olds back then with the 14 year olds now.

It’s a shame that the Alan and Zack Romance Subplot was resolved off screen during the “Pretty Much It” spin off/collab.

So interesting story when my Nan was younger when she saw this movie. I'm not sure when excatly but likely a re-release of this movie in theraters.
Back then she never saw a movie or a moving picture before as that what they were called back then, so was absolutely terrified of what she saw mostly with the more scary scenes and cried when Snow White died and had to leave the movie with her mother.
Shes told me this story a few handful of times and I still remember it.
My dad remembers my auntie (whos nine years older than him) taking him to the cinema when he was a kid to watch pinocchio and all the of the kids in the audience starting to cry (some of them being led out by parents) when he gets eaten by the whale, although TBF that whale is terrifying
