Diggin' the acoustic action.
Peace from Southwest Michigan!

Sooooooo glad I stumbled through the lot of life at 4:54 am and there you were. In a world full of psychosis and crazies you provide music, laughter, and knowledge. Subscribed, liked, and commented for life. Thanks!
I would love it if you did Rosalie McFall
Can't wait for rosa Lee mcfall
An all time favorite album for me. Love to see you knock it out!
That solo ripped pretty hard dude
This is good, but the John Meyer version tho....I kid, it's good seeing Reckoning getting some love. Also to this day, grenadine STILL has no liquor in it....
Thank you. Great breakdown. 👍
I totally dig these tutorials. It shows how far out (and off) or accurate i have been these many years!
Greatings from Italy ! You got a nu subscriber
thanks for another dope lesson, big dog! would love any more reckoning that you're able to do!!
Wow more acoustic please!!
I love Jack-A-Roe’s ancient british ballad + boogie woogie piano combo. How about a Spanish Jam lesson? Probably an easy one to do. Check out this Spanish Jam mega mix: ua-cam.com/video/PISOrQ-B72k/v-deo.html
I appreciate the acoustic lesson. I play along with an acoustic so it is awesome. Cheers from Idaho.
Shoutout dubstep
Another comment…more acoustic please. I’ve been fam been begging keep it going. Oh yeah monkey engineer race is on holy moly I got BDE today
Psyched-adelic you're doing acoustic Davvy! This song always reminded me of lay down Sally which he played in the García Band
Jack a Roe is a great tune. There was a Dead cover band in Seattle back in the late 80's early 90's called "Jack of Rose's". I'm looking forward to Deep Elem Blues.
I would like to see some lessons on Jerry's chromatic licks and runs. Your solos are very nice :) maybe teach us how to play like that.
😂 brooo good stuff 👌
Yes, more acoustic!!!
Oh hell yeah davvy! Only thing I don’t like about this song is the first words mention the wealthy merchant from London where he dwelled but do we hear about him at all throughout the rest of the song? No. Anyway sick shit dog! Maybe you’ll do a cold Jordan lesson at some point?
Deep Elem Blues please!!!!!
Dude. You rock. Lol. Thanks man. Drowning in the reverb. Hope you get one on with dire wolf. Love to see your breakdown if you doodoo it.
Love it doggy! Can we get a whiskey in the jar whenever yah can?
Wow. You’re are hella hilarious, and then you -rip- on guitar. Very fun and helpful video. ✌️
China Doll!
I've been wanting to learn this man I can't wait to learn this thank you so much man
Nice lesson bro! I 've been wondering how you like those Weber Cali's, how they're holding up to your expectations/ breaking in?
They are fantastic.
yeah I got that same cabinet and it's awesome.
Millions of peaches, peaches for free
Absolutely love the vids!! Maybe you could teach a little more of the solos? Be awesome!!
I don’t teach solos. I give examples for inspiration. I feel it’s more important for folks to explore for themselves and develop their own style around the tune. It’s about improv and expression, not imitation.
Yes please!!! That was fantastic. How about Monkey and the Engineer, and Shes’s on the Road Again. You Rock Davvvvy. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I am playing so much better now with your instruction.
The tone on that acoustic sounds really good and it’s not just the reverb.
Is that a plug in or an impulse response that gives such a warm tone ?
It’s just the piezo and an EQ and some reverb

Sounds great brother.thanks for the lessons and all the work you put into them.
Please do a Rosalie Mcfall tutorial
More reckoning !!!!!!!!!!!!
You should do more acoustic sounds so DAMN good 🦫
Note for the non-bluegrass players! In the intro as well as the main lick davvy does it perfectly but all of those eight notes should be played following a simple up-down-up-down Pick pattern. Essential chops for getting all these dead folk tunes down. ❤️🙏🏾
Are you playing a G with the C or just a C with your pinky for the G option?
I always fatten my C chords with that G on top of them. Just fills it out nice with that harmony
You the man Davvy, thanks for another great lesson!
Really like that breakdown. Feel like you did some research on it since you played it live a couple weeks ago. Refined the walk down and lick. Been playing this song for a while but the acoustic lends itself to some true talent my friend
My dude can we get standing on the moon
Lesson actually starts at 3:00. This guy loves to talk.
Hell yeah, I do.
Video starts at 3 mins
Pretty sure you got that intro riff wrong.
Then why you watching the lesson?
@@TobyDavvy Learning the song... I knew that intro riff sounded wrong. I listened back to some Dead versions, and it IS wrong. Check for yourself.
No thanks.
Then embrace your ignorance @@TobyDavvy
Don’t worry, bro. I don’t need you to tell me I’m stupid. I’m well aware that I’m trash.
Hey you asked so I’m suggesting, maybe nine pound hammer 🔨?
first view first like label that
