I rarely leave a comment on youube. Just watch and go. But this, on this one of the finest gems youtube can harness, I have this urge to say something out of my heart. To the glory of 90s and the youthful MTV, and the band that grabbed my soul since my 20s, Jamiroquai, music is one human element that can enable us to travel time, often far more efficiently than words. Jamiroquai, 90s, and the MTV, only if I could dive into the screen...never wished it so bad.
I'm only 20 so wasn't even alive when Jamiroquai performed this. I'm sad I completely missed out on this era. But I am thankful for youtube so I am able to relive it all and listen to _real, good music_ :)
I love Automaton 2017 so much, and I love Rob Harris and Paul Terner as guitarist/bassist - they are super tight and funky and creative and special. But damn! That 90s stuff is also cool and super fresh as well )) My favourite band of all times! Hope for the new album.
What a band... true art. Toby on keys was a blessing, and even if I respect Paul Turner for the great bassist and musician he is indeed, well... Stu on bass was a miracle. One of my fav bands of all time, seen so many times live and always superb. Long live Jay Kay!!!
It turned commerciall because Jay initially made an "8-album deal" with Sony when the band first tasted success, that the primary architect of the Jamiroquai sound (the original drummer) didn't care for because it "overcommitted" everyone from the start, thus lesving Zender to "carry-on the groove." When Zender left during production of the 4th album, the Jamiroquai sound was officially GONE, hence the commercial sound the band has today. These guys were "Top Shelf" in the 90s, no doubt 👍🏾👏🏾
Yes indeed, Nick and Stuart, even from the first songs, sounded like they had been playing together for years! (in fact they were recruited during the rehearsal sessions for the band's debut album)
The only thing more mid 90's then this video, is that hat Jay's got on. - getting old is the worst, lol. SPECTACULAR upload Alejandro, thank you, GOD Bless and Keep.
Absolutely all the songs of this band from the first three albums give me unimaginable pleasure from listening, and my body automatically begins to move to the rhythm of the music. And their live concerts from 1993-1997 sometimes sound even better than the album versions! Thank them very much for this! P.S.- For me personally, Stuart Zender's playing a separate kind of art!! I think that even the devil himself, without hesitation, would sell his soul to anyone to be able to play like Stuart!
@swingsoulajazz Yeah man i definetly agree! "Return of the Space Cowboy" was easily their best record. From all of their albums, it is the most diverse and it doesn't have one bad song on it. I mean, look it through. The weakest one could be Journey to Arnhemland which is an amazing song. "Emergency on Planet Earth" album is a close second. "Travelling Without Moving" was still very good but after that they went too mainstream, at least for my taste.
Jamiroquai, grandes!!!! ❤️
My 2nd music album as an 9 year old was jamiroquai - emergency on planet earth. Heavy stuff back then, I did not really understand anything musically neither lyrically. But something kept me listening and i began to love it. As a teenager they were my favorite band. the 90ties albums
😱😱😱For me probably the best performing of Jamiroquai that I ve ever seen...Zender is god..an Jay sing like he used to be..the rest of the band is breathtaking.....very sad this never gonna happen again.. Great upload thank you
Aw, shucks, this is good. Such a damn shame these guys don't play together anymore. Thankfully we can all find that stillness in time 24/7 on youtube... what a gift! Thanks so much for the post, Droguett01... you've done the world a huge favour! Bisoux, cherie...très marron xxx
I’ve only recently found out about them..this band is Art..wish I heard about them earlier. They’re amazing, ahead of their time like they say. I thought this was a ‘contemporary’ band, of these times, but come to find out they’re not. Still, glad I found them now!!
best band in the motherfucking world,, and i have been a loyal fan for years and years of U2, Depeche Mode, Soda Stereo, Los Amigos Invisibles, Cultura profetica, and hundreds of other Bands,, in 2013 me and my brother hav declared that we are #1 fan and i have listen to all of the records and live shows now over 4 months, and we are far from tired, still impressed after watching any jamiroquai show... My Dream is that THEY DO A SHOW IN TIJUANA, MEXICO well bring the tekila
I really love the colours in the background this blue is really cool. Jamiroquay is one of the best music bands. it's a real good mixture of many cool elements. I love all the instruments, but specially the deep piano. (Jamiroquay a band with huge posh style)
@geetmyster i totally agree ,geetmyster. i love jamiroquai's music... he's soo funky....groovy...so soulful all in one....he music puts me a feel good place
A brilliant singing performance from a male singer. In my opinion, Britain has only produced three male artist who have had chart success that actually had technically brilliant voices. Freddie Mercury, Tom Jones and Jay Kay. There are other technically good British singers but none have had any chart success. All the male singers in the charts are just average singers apart from the three i mentioned who are technically brilliant.
wish I was a teenager during these times, glad I’m still able to appreciate jamiroquai, shame no one around me knows who jamiroquai is :(
I was 18 when their first album came out. It was a shock. I have seen Jamiroquai live14 times for now and I hope to see more.
I share your predicament, my friend. You’re not alone.
I was 16 when Jamiroquai released Emergency on planet earth. 1990s were great times!
I do
The only problem with that is... You would be old now... Like I am!
RIP Toby Smith.

Thank you for the trip :-)
In all the noise of the internet I'm glad I read your comment! Thank you for your words!
Tae Ryu 9l
Im with you.
I'm only 20 so wasn't even alive when Jamiroquai performed this. I'm sad I completely missed out on this era. But I am thankful for youtube so I am able to relive it all and listen to _real, good music_ :)
Once upon a time, MTV played real music, I remember those days fondly. Jay Kay is one of the best frontmen ever!
The keyboard’s on fire in the chorus, love it.

Words that resonate, makes a middle aged man very happy.Beautiful music
Zender genius of the bass.

Oh. I just wish jamiroquai had chosen the path of this jazzy stuff. It turned to commercial over the years. Still amazing today. But. This. Is. Magic.
My sentiments exactly
It turned commerciall because Jay initially made an "8-album deal" with Sony when the band first tasted success, that the primary architect of the Jamiroquai sound (the original drummer) didn't care for because it "overcommitted" everyone from the start, thus lesving Zender to "carry-on the groove."

Band were so tight 👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Jamiroquai songs remind me of a place ive never been to before,a place where all the people are friendly and full of positive energy.
His voice is perfect!
I miss 90's Jamiroquai
This is one of the greatest songs ever. No joke :]
1st time I've seen this done live. One of my favorite songs & now one of my favorite videos. RIP Toby.
Couldn't agree more... Everything you said was just spot on.
God gives us tiny gifts like this music to let us know he exists
Real music
The flute solo is amazing!!
The only thing more mid 90's then this video, is that hat Jay's got on.
- getting old is the worst, lol.
SPECTACULAR upload Alejandro, thank you, GOD Bless and Keep.
Super Brazilian like style! Awesome.
I agree

One can't just be quiet listening these kind of songs. At least one part of the body has to be moving.

The meaning of life can be found at 4:13
i love this jam!! makes you feel free
I love how stu massage that bass for the bridge!!! Priceless
Absolutely all the songs of this band from the first three albums give me unimaginable pleasure from listening, and my body automatically begins to move to the rhythm of the music. Stuart's playing is out of this world!
Someone should do a 10 hour version of this song
That was an amazing version. Glad they just did a unique version than just doing the song verbatim the album.

There's something quite retro about the video quality. I love it

Pablo Grosskelwing The good side of 90s
Great moment of music

😱😱😱For me probably the best performing of Jamiroquai that I ve ever seen...Zender is god..an Jay sing like he used to be..the rest of the band is breathtaking.....very sad this never gonna happen again..
