I love this song. I listened to Lollia's cover. I listened to annapantsu's cover. I definitely watched Wolfychu's Animatic. But this is the first male i ever heard of it. Would love if Mr. Young or Mr. Hyles would try this one out to give it a spin in rock or metal. But if not, this version is more then enough. Thank you for this cover, i never asked for it, but this deserves a thank you anyways.

I think this song isn't about that. It's not about helping other people, there is only one person in the song the whole time. This person comes to a high place everyday, wanting to jump off, but they stop themselves everytime saying that their reason is too stupid to jump. They invalidate their own struggles and tell themselves that it's not important. They've gone through all their problems and said that they're not important but at the end, they didn't receive any help. It was just them all along and no one else helped them. The end implies that all the "people" this person "helped" (notice that this person didn't tell any of the people "it's ok" but rather told them that their reason isn't good enough, it's not enough of a problem to be sad) was the same one person; "a petite girl" "girl with a yellow cardigan" -> "this petite girl with a yellow cardigan is gonna jump now..." the person brushed off all their problems, not receiving any actual help, and at the end they felt like there was nothing left and jumped off. It's a very sad song if you think about it. Going down the hill since the beginning, no positive points, just misery.

What allot of people don't get about this song, is that the girl in the yellow cardigan, the girl with braids and the girl short as can be etc are all the same person. She talks herslf down every time until the end. I don't know if the confusion over the lyrics I've seen in the coments on various covers of this song is down to a mistranslation of the original, but I don't speak japanese so I can't tell, (the original song is japanese and may contain nuances in the lyrics that got lost in translation) but the final verse of the song explains all this if you listen carefully.
