Fact of the Day: There were not, in fact, as many VSCs as likes on this video. Also the FIA view Ben's actions under safety car as "unsafe".
Coming to a complete stop while in the SC queue, apparently "removes" you from the queue, and when you start moving again, you will be at that position.
At least that's how I saw it, so maybe it's partly some spaghetti coding. But the situation was def. weird
it's probably intentional to stop people greifing by just straight up stopping

Codemasters should really fix that problem, the problem I’m talking about is when you try to get your position back during the safety car period,
The game says you illegally overtake someone, than when you stop so they can get past you other people get past you and when you try and get your position back again, the game says it’s an illegal overtake.

well ben t2 is officially classed by the fia as turn 1 in the documents since the first turn is officially the first turn that has a radius tighter than 45 degrees and the t1 kink is not tight enough ti be classed as t1. anyone who wants to know why look up chainbears video on f1 tracks

I did a 1:32.910 yesterday in timetrial in Sochi. would be interesting to see how I would perform in a online race.
There should be a race director mode in the next game,allowing a person to be the a stuart and hand out penalties and deploy safety cars, red flags etc.woildnt be too hard to do, they already have all the good theatre modes

It would be as easy as the game saving the who is in which position the moment the SC is deployed and to enforce that unless you go off or go under a certain speed threshold

Bro I was doing league racing and under VSC I had the same glitch as u did and so did my friend and we both ended up getting penalties and not getting a podium
Honestly, I hope one day exclusivity for the F1 license ends both in the games with codemasters and for the live TV with SKY. The lack of competition is ultimately detrimental to the product that we could get if other people were given the opportunity to develop. Success is a lazy teacher, and the money that they make from this exclusivity could mean the game doesn't get any attention in future installments and it could become a FIFA or NFL situation.

Had the exact same issue with safety car / illegal overtake in a race yesterday. Codemasters fix this! So frustrating..
saw that the game is on sale on steam might give it a pass if it's this buggy plus from what other things ive read
