Chloe Keene part of it is their image. Their image seems to be three guys all caught up on, seemingly, the same girl who is unattainable and distant for whatever reason. Yet somehow, there is no jealousy or hostility between them. They just have a "hopeless romantic" vibe about them
Spirit of my silence I can hear you But I'm afraid to be near you And I don't know where to begin And I don't know where to begin Somewhere in the desert there's a forest And an acre before us But I don't know where to begin But I don't know where to begin Again I've lost my strength completely, oh be near me Tired old mare with the wind in your hair Amethyst and flowers on the table, is it real or a fable? Well I suppose a friend is a friend And we all know how this will end Chimney swift that finds me, be my keeper Silhouette of the cedar What is that song you sing for the dead? What is that song you sing for the dead? I see the signal searchlight Strike me in the window of my room Well I got nothing to prove Well I got nothing to prove I forgive you, mother, I can hear you And I long to be near you But every road leads to an end But every road leads to an end Your apparition passes through me in the willows Five red hens - you'll never see us again You'll never see us again
The slayage. I was about 10 seconds into this video, and had to stop it. I fangirled. These boys are amazing!!! Slay everytime. JESUS. Thirdstory you guys are beyond talented. It's so refreshing to hear the sound reminiscent of groups in Motown days and the Bee Gees. Ya'll are going to be HUGE.
I'm going to be honest. I was worried this cover wasn't going to be good. I was blown away by your voices. So beautiful. Sufjan would probably be proud.
Looking back on this and I’m just like”what a different time.” I was in he car with Geoff, Richard’s brother and he introduced me to this wonderful trio. I love their voices and their harmonies. We are absolutely missing this kind of musicianship in our time.
I am SO sad that they don't have this on Apple Music!!! I have to listen to the original but I always come back to watch this because it's my favorite!
The utter beauty of this cover is so moving. I'm also pleasantly surprised to learn that this song is by Sufjan Stevens, who also wrote and performed "Mystery of Love", my first real acknowledgement of his work, which was featured in Call Me By Your Name. His music is so tender.
Brings me to tears every time... The harmonies get a bit off key when they climb that scale and hit the high notes, but other than that, an amazingly heartfelt and touching performance of one of my favorite songs.
you know what I thought that too but as I listened I think that was on purpose. come to think about it they have done way more harder songs to keep harmony to think this simple one threw them off would do the m a major injustice

Wow that's right on. Was just playing along! Any idea on picking pattern? The base note is obvious and it seems like he alternates hitting the third string and the second string depending on which chord he's playing, but doesn't use the first string except for the harmonic.
Already posted this, but here you go bud, these are the tabs I made: tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/t/thirdstory/death_with_dignity_tab.htm (full tab) tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/t/thirdstory/death_with_dignity_crd.htm (simplified version w/ just the chords) It's called an open E tuning, btw. Enjoy :)

This song was magic before it got covered.
It's like someone handed a Sufjan Stevens song to Fleet Foxes. Incredible work Thirdstory!
My thoughts exactly.
Spirit of my silence I can hear you
But I'm afraid to be near you
And I don't know where to begin

Somewhere in the desert there's a forest
And an acre before us
But I don't know where to begin

Tired old mare with the wind in your hair
Amethyst and flowers on the table, is it real or a fable?
Well I suppose a friend is a friend
And we all know how this will end
Chimney swift that finds me, be my keeper
Silhouette of the cedar

Strike me in the window of my room
Well I got nothing to prove
Well I got nothing to prove

But every road leads to an end

Your apparition passes through me in the willows
Five red hens - you'll never see us again

This song makes me cry every time. And of course Third Story covers it. Thank you for singing. My heart bleeds and soars

The Harmony blend is "CRAZY!!" OMG!! so refreshing !!! Yasss!!!

The best male 3 part harmony since Crosby Stills & Nash!!

Your music breaths life!!! Keep doing what you are doing. I feel every note❤
It’s not their song tho it’s America’s little sweetheart Sufjan Stevens. I do suggest you check his album and Illinois as they capture life perfectly.

Yes.
Who hear this song from the game "The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit"?
❤️❤️
i wanted to hate this so much but as soon as they sang the "signal search lights strike me in the mirror of my room" line i got the chills
Try singing Helplessly Hoping by CSNY .please!
Piggy-Pike that song would be perfect for them!
I NEED this tab/tuning
Tuning's EBEG#Be (sounds just like an E major chord when struck open). I'm working on the tab, but I'll let you know as soon as it's done :)
Tab's done! Here ya go, bud:

No offense - wrong thumbnail.
love the performance but damn y they sweating so much lmao do yall need a fan or something? i can supply if sofar can't
Does anyone have the guitar tab?
Anybody know what tuning he is playing in?
EBEG#Be with no capo, or EbBbEbG(eb) with a capo on the first fret
Wow that's right on. Was just playing along! Any idea on picking pattern? The base note is obvious and it seems like he alternates hitting the third string and the second string depending on which chord he's playing, but doesn't use the first string except for the harmonic.

Better than the original recording
I guess it was hot in there
The high voice takes me out of this song totally
M Mac ur profile pic scares me
Peewa _ your comment is funny.
that one guy is just straight up screaming..
Honestly i find that this desperate reharmonization just destroys the beauty of the original song, even though they are very good musicians
I was not interested in this version covered by Thirdstory. In my book, Stevens's version was much more better.
Spirit of my silence I can hear you, but I'm afraid to be near you
And I don't know where to begin
And I don't know where to begin
Somewhere in the desert there's a forest, and an acre before us
But I don't know where to begin
But I don't know where to begin
Again I lost my strength completely, oh be near me tired old mare
With the wind in your hair
Amethyst and flowers on the table, is it real or a fable?
Well I suppose a friend is a friend
And we all know how this will end
Chimney swift that finds me be my keeper, silhouette of the cedar
What is that song you sing for the dead
What is that song you sing for the dead
I see the signal searchlight strike me, in the window of my room
Well I got nothing to prove
Well I got nothing to prove
I forgive you mother I can hear you, and I long to be near you

You'll never see us again
You'll never see us again
