    Wondering what you opinion is on the peak stock. Did you find you had a correct cheekweld relative to your scope or was you head slightly above the stock?

    • @Bullets4Bucks
      @Bullets4Bucks  2 місяці тому +1

      I love the stock. Cheek comb is a bit low so I add a cheek pouch/pad. It is super light weight that therefore not the strongest probably but great for backcountry hunting.

    I've never owned a Weatherby that was easily sub Moa with factory.

    My Weatherby vanguard is better then a Christensen, hell ruger American is better then a Christensen 😂. Idk how the hell they get away selling Christensen at that price point it's wild. But great review on the Weatherby 👍

    Been around 4 Weatherby backcountry rifles. Most accurate have been 30/378 carbon barrels. They have to break in a bit., All will shoot under half moa with factory ammo with some testing. They really like hammer bullets that Weatherby loads.

    What are your thoughts on the standard steel barrel Christensen Mesa?

    • @Bullets4Bucks
      @Bullets4Bucks  2 місяці тому +1

      I just see too many issues with christensen extraction, ejection and feeding. However, I have heard those shoot well

      I'll tell you what a gunsmith and part time employee at Sportsman's warehouse told me. In a nutshell, steer clear of the Ridgeline but no issues he's ever heard of with the CA Mesa and actually they are pretty decent rifles. I sold a custom rifle to a fellow lefty not long ago. He was shopping for a CA Ridgeline but after we talked he did some homework and opted not to move fwd. However, he did tell me he has 2 CA Mesa rifles and loves them both - very accurate

      I had some hang ups on my Christiansen Ridgline FFT, but that has smoothed out, similar to your Weatherby action. My Ridgline FFT is now running very smooth and it shoots MOA with my 6.8 Western.
      I’ll admit, it took about 60 rounds, but I can’t say enough about it now. It only weighs 5.3 lbs, so it’s insanely light. Coupled that with the short action of the 6.8 Western, and it’s proven to be the perfect setup for Mountain hunting.
      That Weatherby is very good looking.

    I think the only way to establish accuracy is to shoot thirty rounds at the same target at the same spot, Also it has been my experience that a bipod yields the best accuracy form the prone position. If you do that I think you will find that most rifles shoot 2 MOA at 100 yards, In my opinion that would be a great shooting rifle because thirty rounds and 2 MOA takes into consideration shooter error. Love your effort to produce good content.

    Have you ever given CA a call to figure out the ejection problems. Are you using the same gun you've always had problems with? Hasnt CA done some work to improve their quality control in the last year?

    hey community, l'm on the way to buying a 308 or 300 rifle and would like to get a second opinion.
    browning x bolt speed, weatherby mark v hunter, model 307 meateater, bergara b-14.
    I like to shoot at long range, hunting, of course the weapon has to shoot well (precisely) and it should be long-lasting and not get hot too quickly
