- The final days of legendary TV talk show host Jerry Springer are emerging. Springer's close friend Jean Galvin was one of the few people who knew the 79-year-old TV legend was terminally ill due to pancreatic cancer. Steve Wilkos, who rose to fame as the security guard on "The Jerry Springer Show,” says he saw Springer two months prior to his death. However, Wilkos says something told him it was going to be the last time he saw him. Inside Edition's Sibila Vargas has more.
Without Jerry Springer, there is no Steve Wilkos.

My mother battled pancreatic cancer.
It definitely is a terrible disease and watching someone you love suffer was the most heartbreaking situation that I've ever witnessed. Knowing they're eventually going to die and I couldn't do anything about it was devastating.
I wouldn't wish any of this on my worst enemy. It's that bad.
At least she's now pain free and with her soulmate in heaven.

R.I.P to Jerry Springer. I was the care provider for my mother who passed away 5 months ago to pancreatic cancer after one year of diagnosis. The last 2 months of mom's life were very tough.

It sneak up on my brother who was just 52 years old when he past in 1998.
The Doctors were treating him for acid reflux when after a year he was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. After his diagnosis he only lived eight 🎱 days.

I lost my grandma to pancreatic cancer when I was 16. I’ve been a nurse for almost 8 years and her ordeal was worse than anything I’ve witnessed in my professional career. My heart breaks for Jerry and his family. I loved watching his talk show and later Judge Jerry.

I am so saddened 😢about the loss of such a great kind caring man a Legend Mr. Jerry Springer 🌹I loved the way he carried himself so charismatic. He was such a contrast of his show more chilled . I love that Jerry's show was in Chicago my hometown as well. Jerry and Steve had a father and son bond. I know he is devastated over this tremendous loss. My prayers go out to Jerrys family and friends. He will be missed🌹Writing from Chicago.

I remember 1st watching Jerry Springer in the Summer of '91 after graduating high school right next to another show called The Judge with Bob Shield as Judge Robert J Franklin, also a worthy product of it's time. I remember Steve doing Security for Jerry & even hosting the show himself on Fridays, not bad.

I didn’t know he had pancreatic cancer. It has to be one of the scariest cancers because when it’s caught it’s typically in it’s late stages. RIP Jerry.

Before I was diagnosed with my chronic kidney failure condition I'd always be tired after I'd get off from work and my legs. Were really swollen and that's when I found out that I was suffering for a condition called edema which meant that I was retaining alot of water in my legs which lead to me having kidney failure 😢

Patrick Swayze had Pancreatic Cancer
Swayze was adenocarcinoma pancreatic cancer which is an aggressive form. Aretha and Steve Jobs had a neuroendocrine tumor which is slow growing and you can live for years with this form of cancer.
