@Rylan Sim I got mine for Christmas this year and it works, did you put the mode on fast and then put in the filament, it takes 15 seconds until it comes out when you just put it in, also why did you touch the top, it’s spitting HOT plastic string.

Hello there! What would u suggest to avoid loose pieces of filament? Basically... how can i be sure that the PLA is going to stick with the paper surface?
Thanks for this introduction, it answers so many unthought of (noob) questions. One thing I need to ask: I am unfamiliar with wax paper - it's not prevalent in my part of Australia - I have obtained some but I don't know which side is used for the projects. I assume it is the waxed side, but I'd appreciate your advice. Many thanks.
I love the idea of this but I had one as a present and couldn't get it to work at all. That was a few years ago so I'm thinking of giving it a go again. I love making wee models.... Is it worth trying again? Do they work and last? Enough to satisfy an artist and adult?

Nice video. I just got my 3D pen. Just a very noob question: The manual doesn't mention any way to turn it off. Do I just unplug it (after removing the filament)? Mine looks almost like yours, except without the temperature controls (it only has a PLA/ABS setting).
I understand the 3d pen shown in video is no longer available, but what kind was it? It looks slim and easy to hold and manage. I have a 2nd hand scribbler I bought off ebay and it is too big and clunky in my hand. It is awkward and I don't like it at all. 3doodler looks even more huge and cumbersome. Can you suggest a compact easily handled pen?
Hey, long shot this gets answered but I feel like I would really like a pen with some sort of lever that manually extrudes the PLA, is that something that exists and I am not having luck finding it, or would that be too problematic somehow long term for a pen with the heat internally? Even if it was shaped more like a glue gun I think I would prefer that control over the amount of pla coming out.
Search for PLA filament. You can buy lots of different kinds through Amazon. I added a link to a PLA plastic filament sample pack that is good for starting out, into this video description.
Nice video , I just got one for Xmas but I'm wondering as a Lefty if I'm going to struggle with the buttons. Sounds odd I know but a lot of things are never realised as it's just natural
Hi i have a question about 3d penning... i typically keep my pla on the spool and use something to help it roll out... I know i am probably answering my own question in a way... i don't feel too restricted by the power cord i dont think... but when i pen off the spool it seems to feel tight, should i just make... coil packs and ditch the spools? I started out using a 3d printer and when i scrapped it i got my pen so i kept my spools

What’s the difference between unbleached wax paper// parchment paper? I mean do I have to buy the wax one?
I tested both and found that PLA sticks better to wax paper. I think that is because it melts the wax a little and that provides a nice grip.
Can the end product be place outside on hot days? I’m thinking of a For Sale sign for a Garage Sale. Will the plastic melt?
