What a fantastic way to introduce people to the idols that they’ve grown up with. I think we all kinda figured that they were a lot like us in this way and now we know it. Thank you Mr Leno.
First thing BJ buys is a grand piano...makes perfect sense. Now lives in a mansion on the waterfront he saw as a kid and says he doesn't fit in and feels like he's waiting for the owner to come back and throw him out.
I love how they artistically edited out the hour or so it takes to change the tires, change ECU, fill the tank with race fuel, and reprogram the tune up to put the Demon in drag mode lol.
Jay are you going to set your garage up to be a museum. It would be a legacy that would span the generations. You could do videos for each individual museum piece where future generations could learn directly from you! I think you could set this up to be self sufficient. Would be an awesome contribution to the motor head society.
Pure gold! he opens with The Red Rocker who can't drive 55. Have watched Leno YT cars for years, now. Have always thought he has some special dispensation with the police, right? His shop fixes the AC in the cruisers for free? He shows up at PAL softball games for free? He writes a 100k check to the Widows and Orphan's Fund every year? I love it.
Saw Jay drive a 2000 Monte Carlo , Indy pace car driver at I don't guess how fast in front of 33 of the world's best drivers. He has their respect in driving, for what it's worth , mine too.
Nice compilation, Jay. I especially liked the Dee Snider clip and the drag strip footage out in Pomona. Can you say what time & speed you turned on any of those runs? I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and did my share of street racing back in the day. The Bob's Big Boy on Van Nuys Blvd. was the place to set up a race, while the Big Boy in Toulca Lake was for taking your girl friend to. Glad I survived all the craziness.
3:40 - I had one of these in 1980. A water pump cost hundreds of dollars at a time when a chevy water pump was $16. Hello epoxy! (it worked) The Audi Fox was a fun car, the first fwd that I ever drove.
278mph in a Jet Car built by Jay, I'll take that over any Bugatti Veyron any day any minute any second. that is awesome I didn't know he's jet car was that fast.... that has to be some kind of record broken.
I hope someday Jay gets with Richard Lewis Springthorpe and his totally Radical Corvette Stingray, Ohhh yeah to those who don't know, Rick Springfield lol 😂
Mr. Leno. Your show is amazing. It brings me back to my old muscle car days. But, when you take cars out, and don't get me wrong, I would love to do what you do with cars, you leave your turn signals on more than anyone I've ever seen. If you could kinda work on that, I can't be the only one that thinks that. Anyway, keep up the good work. Love your show. Dan

Years ago after the first couple of ZZ top vidio's came out on MTV with the Eliminator coupe ,one of the local drag strips was advertising that the famous coupe would be on display at their track on Sunday. A bunch of us decided to drive our Rods over that eve and stay Saturday night ,watch the drags and take some pictures of the famous coupe at the track in the morning. The next day we got up and opened our motel door and we were shocked to see what we thought was the Eliminator coupe sitting right in front of our room. We quickly grabbed our cameras and were taking pictures when this guy comes out of a room next to us and tells us that it was a clone and not the real car ,but one of a couple that Billy G had built to look like the Eliminator coupe and tour around the country. He told us that most of the time he was paid just to unload the car and drive it down the track and then load it up and take it right to the next town. He also said that the original car was still being used (at that time) in vidio's and they could'nt afford for something to happen to it. I can say I saw at least.... ONE of the imposters. The coupe looked alright.....but was'nt detailed and finished as well as the original. If you were sitting in the grandstands at the drags you could'nt tell the difference. I know that this is an 8 yr old post.....I just have to say that knowing BFG’s Eliminator with a 33 Chassis built by Pete & Jake’s Temple City, CA, Body by Scott Knight, Chop by Billy “Birdman” Stewart, Paint by Carambia-Beard and orchestrated by Buffalo Motor Cars-Don Thelen and ordered by The Reverand hisself. The one in the post above may be the “Tour Car” that was commissioned and built by Chuck Lombardo’s California Street Rods that spent some time in their showroom window. Both look nearly identical except the clone is “un-hinged”. So I’ll post both so ya can see the difference, unaware if there are additional commissioned examples out there in the hot rod world.
I forgot to mention that the one I saw was a fiberglass car and we all know that the Eliminator coupe was a real all steel car. LTOWNRODDER, APR 29, 2011SHARE POST#12

Watch his personal car UA-cam channel (Jay Leno's Garage) if you want only unstaged/non-faked videos on cars.

That getting hit in the face by the keys made me chuckle out loud. Hilarious! And Billy Gibbons is THE MAN!!! Love & respect from Texas
That Jaguar of Billy Joel's is one of my all time favorite cars types. The styling is just beautiful.
What a fantastic way to introduce people to the idols that they’ve grown up with. I think we all kinda figured that they were a lot like us in this way and now we know it. Thank you Mr Leno.

Jay would be such a wonderful Dad, and teacher.🥇
My fave episode so far! 🚦🚘🤘
Avril Lavigne is a doll, and Billy Gibbons is the coolest! I was fortunate enough to meet him in 2016 and he was a super nice guy.

Avril is such a beautiful young woman.
she is middle aged and beauuuuutiful
Except those stupid tattoos
Avril's eyelashes are larger than the rear air foil on the car. They must have been specially designed for extra down force.
The cheek squeezing, jaw jutting helmet look is maybe not the most flattering for Jay.

Avrils a rockstar? Okay. Sure.
I watched this a second time because of Avril!
I think Jay Leno could have had a real shot at Avril! He's a gentleman, but you know he could have charmed the panties out this chick!
Very disappointed in Jay for not asking Sammy to keep it at 55 mph..
