“Excuse me Charlie, I’m trying to talk here”… Silence. That was seriously impressive Julie. We had our little Yorke for almost 13 years. Our family and I were never able to get him to stop barking or snarling at strangers, he was very protective. We lost our lil guy a few years ago.. to this day I cringe when the doorbell rings.😂 Thanks for a great inlay tutorial.
Have you thought about making a set of coaster molds with that pattern? Or I guess it would be four inlays, in the size of a coaster. All four different. Great idea Julie! ❤
Hi, Love your work. You can calculate the amount of liquid needed by applying this formula. Volume = length x height x depth Volume = breath x width x depth Example = 40cm x 30cm x 0.4mm = 480ml I hope this helps
I could use my World’s Smallest Leaf Blower. Amazon has a package of sheets with different designs. This would make a beautiful try! Thank you….cant wait for Part II. 🌺
I can’t wait to try this! I bought a pack of 4 pieces of the faux leather at A4 size. I bought them from Temu and they’re brilliant. I realise that you sell the silicone liquid but it’s been hard to find anywhere other than overseas. Glad to see you have it on your website. I love this 🇦🇺❤️
Textured vinyl wallpapers might work for this too as long as they're the shiny kind and not the paintable kind. Or those vinyl stick-on tiles. Lots of options there too. Thanks for sharing! 😁👍
I can't seen to find the 5A or 25A hardness in the US. I had to laugh that I couldn't find that brand youwere talking about in ebay. As soon as I started looking for the specific shore hardness it popped up. And of course it makes sense that it's an Australian company. 😖 So I guess I'm just going to buy what I can get. It's mainly to mold some old cameos I have. 😊 And my daisy mold from you is out of customs and on the last leg of it's journey. ❤ can't wait for it to arrive. 😊
Brilliant video, I appreciate your skill in teaching. I have a similar faux leather, snake skin, might have to try making an inlay with it. Can’t wait to see what you do with the inlay.
You have to love the Charlies, I have one too and he is a parrot and goes off only if I am recording, talking on the phone or with a client in a reading lolll I love how he listened to you . I love your work I have bought many of your molds and inlays, I love working with them xo
Fun. I'm just about ready to make some inserts with large sand dollars. I've been wracking my head for a couple of weeks on how to keep them from floating. I've already sprayed a sealer on them - I didn't want them to leach out stuff into the silicone.
Julie, I watch you over and over. Can I make a suggestion? It seems when you make your molds you don’t seem to calculate how many flowers you need to go around your molds and you get 2 flowers the same color next to each other. If you do 18 or 36 you can do 2 or 3 colors. I’m sure there are many other numbers as well that was just off the top of my head.
Thank you so much for this! Could you use that bottom baking tray to make a mold of that exact size and shape? I mean, I’m sure YOU could, but could we? Could you maybe show us sometime?
Hmmm........totally off topic, but I bought a "genuine leather" pair of boots made with that exact same print, just a different color (which is also on Amazon). I have questions and have emailed the company. 🤬 Rant over....this is so cool, I can't wait to see what you do with it! ❤
Exactly the same as wendy from toonpish crafts did a few months ago, such a great idea of hers she always thinks outside the box and has the most amazing ideas its just a shame she didnt get any credit for it
I can’t wait to see you use it! I was having the exact same thoughts as to how to use it, in terms of the pigment powders and all. So, tell me more about the paper you used! Is it textured? Howso? I caught that it’s a vinyl paper, so I’m guessing it has raised and carved lines. I’m just fascinated! It gave such a great result on the silicone!
Wendy from toonpish crafts did this a couple of months ago. You can make amazing inlay's with it and there are so many different embossings available
@@kdscraftcorner I don’t remember hearing Julie saying she was the first to do this. I def love these videos.

I saw these inlays done by Wendy from Toompish Crafts months ago with the same material and then made some myself. They turned out awesome!
what brand of silicone did you use, im in Canada, and would be my 1st time making a mold
@@DianneLascelle I used Let’s Resin Silicone
Tailor’s chalk would work to mark on black background. Wendy did this as well and it came out perfect too.

Great idea!! I’ll definitely try this……
Ty Julie for showing us how to do this. Maybe you should give classes how to make molds and inlays
Love this! Can use double sided sticky tape which holds down really well and seals well and means you can reuse your original tray
That’s awesome your in autumn now! I’m in Spring!!

I bought that same pattern faux leather . What a cool idea! Thanks for sharing, Julie!

That's pretty cool I've never seen anything done like that
I can't wait to see it colored in🎉

I would love an inlay 😊
Can I just say you are as good as an artist gets… All of your work is stunning and sharing your process is incredibly generous
Great idea. I have some dragon skin faux leather. You're a good teacher. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant!

😂😂😂 Eu não aguento! Vc tem tanto material legal, e desperdiça, fico tipo, ah ...se eu tivesse um pedaço disso.
Stunning
Ch a great teacher. Can't wait to see how this all works out.❤
Thanks Julie for sharing on how you make your inlays. I can't wait for video 2 of this one. ❤
I bought the same fabric. It's beautiful. Made a great inlay!❤❤

12 and 6 as well
The number of flowers is not important, as long as the fit in the space ❤
That is awesome! I learn so much from you!❤
❤🎉 love seeing you do this sort of thing and can't wait for the video of you painting this!🎉❤
Thank you Julie, I have the same faux leather, and some silicone, I’ve not been brave enough to do it yet. So thanks again, I’m going to be brave x❤
Would like to see more of you making silicone molds.
This is a great idea!
Ooooo! I can’t wait to see what you make with that.
Great information Julie. Looking forward to videos with you using these. 👍
Thank you so much for showing us how to do this. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Julie for the tutorial.👍☺️💐
Looks wonderful!!! Thanks for sharing!
I am obsessed with this project. I saw the finished tray first then watched this one . Are you selling the molds?
Thank you for great ideas 💡.
Happy pouring ❣
I bought all the stuff to make this exact inlay 2 months ago and just haven't got around to doing yet.
Love the design ❤ thanks for sharing your tips.

Yes, you could
Very cool
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
This is so cool
I bought the exact same thing on Temu. Quite a bit cheaper and you can purchase it in A4 sizes too.
Cool. Excited to see you use this. xoxoxooxoxoox
So cool. ❤❤❤❤

So so pretty! Thank you for sharing with us Julie
❤ 😁😁👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Awesome 😁💯💯 So Beautiful!
Very nice!💖
Very cool 👌
wow.... i love this... Julie tell me can you remove the faux leather from the pan since having glued it down? or is it stuck there forever?
Exactly the same as wendy from toonpish crafts did a few months ago, such a great idea of hers she always thinks outside the box and has the most amazing ideas its just a shame she didnt get any credit for it

Toonpish has a video making these and using pigments on them
Can you glue that on the edge first
I did glue it down
How did you make your crushed velvet inlay?
Would using the “Let’s Resin” flexible UV resin spread thin, work for making inlays?
Where can I buy that silicon.?
❤
Julie do you sell your silicone rubber, or can you suggest which one is good, I want to make an inlay, but this would be my first time doing it
So what they sell that roll for 20-something dollars on your Amazon... it is only $10 in the United States that is such a price hike!!!
Put the tray in the corner instead so you don’t waste the least amount of vinyl
❤👏🏻👍🏻😄
Can not see it
❣👍
It looks really cool. I can't wait to see what you do with it🧡💛🤎
