I do understand your testing of the relay for teaching purposes, but I believe that the first step should have been SWAPTRONICS with the fan relay to prove that the compressor relay was bad, then go on with the lesson with your nice relay adaptor tools. Normally short cycle based on pressure OK but in cold weather we need to monitor the temperature of the EVAP to see if it is kicking off the compressor based on that low temp also please. IMHO we should not be charging customers to vac and reservice AC in cold weather but we can ask them to come back before the high season to get another evaluation on a warm day, a heads up call in advance would be good enough for a quick inspection, be prepared to leave the car that day based on a known leak as the system is low or is not low enough to worry about today. As for now during the cold season, some of the gas is just going to leak out before summer and the AC will not be up to standard and will need to charge the owner again. Not sure your actual video was recorded at the time it was posted in JUN, no worries, that would make a difference on my useless comment OMG. It seems if you raise the RPMs after servicing, it's going to be a short cycle again??? NEW Schrader valves on a time change basis with instructions to the owner to not remove the owner's manual from the glove box and some maintenance records/notes kept in the book such as when the valves were replaced the last time. If every tech that touches the AC and totally clean the dye out of the port, they ought to lose their job. The next tech to look can simply say, THERE IS YOUR PROBLEM LADY, your valve is leaking, we need to replace it even if it was replaced 3 months ago AND we will sniff for more leaks. This is also why caps need orings to hold back some of the known leak. Thanks for all your great videos.
