- The Platinum Jubilee celebrations are a huge deal for royal watchers, and not just because they mark Queen Elizabeth II's 70th year on the throne. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint return to the United Kingdom in June 2022 since they quit being working members of the royal family in 2020. Their public reception at the Jubilee celebrations was mixed, with reports of some crowds booing the pair. Inside the royal family, some relatives also felt icy toward the now-California-based duo, if tabloid reports are to be believed. The queen's granddaughter's husband, rugby star Mike Tindall, reportedly had harsh words for Prince Harry at Jubilee. Here's what went down.

Let's be fair, there was no non-working member of the Royal Family on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Jubilee. Contrary to what Harry and his wife Meghan think it was not about them, all eyes were on the Queens Jubilee and the Queen herself, and Padding Bear of course! We heard that William and Catherine were invited to Harry and Meghan's one year old's birthday party, but didn't show up. Of course they didn't, they were representing the Queen on that day, at that time in Wales! Somebody forgot to mention that in their press release!
How could harry not understand. He would've known that William's and the rest of the senior royals schedules will be packed to the max, and some of the engagements were scheduled months of even year in advance. Harry wanted William to clear all his schedules and disappoint all the people who have made arrangements months in advance for William to attend their events?
Everyone on the balcony except the children work even Anne's husband accompanies her on visits!

They knew when they left the Royal Family that they would not be able to be included at events with the working Royals, but it seems they thought they could come back and use the same opportunities they previously had enjoyed, and they where not accepting that they couldn't use the events to produce input to Netflix.

What would it have cost soon-to-be Kings Charles and William to quietly but cordially welcome Harry and Meghan back to Britain to the Queen’s Jubilee? No word would have needed to be said to put all the ugly gossip to rest. It is beyond most of us here in America, at to least those of who are paying any attention at all to this situation, how and why the Royal establishment and British people themselves are behaving in such a coarse and uncouth way. I encourage anyone who would wish all this ugliness to be rectified to go back an revisit the homily given at Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding by Bahop Michael Curry, the President Bishop of the Épiscopal Church in America. He spoke of , even proselytized on the power of love. Please reconsider, all of you, who appear take pleasure seeing this feud continue, and find a place in your hearts to nurture a spark of basic human love and respect for this beautiful couple and their sweet family. Given the heartbreak the two princes, their father and no doubt, the Queen herself, have experienced with the tragedy of the Princess of Wales death, just stop, please, and do your very best to help heal the wounds that were inflicted on Prince Harry and Prince William while they were just children. Make this your ultimate gift to your Queen for her Jubilee. Make all of us collectively proud to have blood connections with each other, including Her Royal Highness herself.

Harry could easily have changed it. He could have gone away like William did, and led a totally normal life doing something useful with his military training like the air ambulance. Clearly that was too mundane and inconspicuous for him. Might have also meant he would have to do some work.

I think maybe Diana tried to not make William seem more special the Harry. I think Harry was coddled to make up for it. Then he went off to college and thought he fate helped him done that bullet. I don’t think that it’s surprising that family members are finding H & M pretty disgusting. They know what kind of love and support H was given his whole life. He’s been protected and sheltered from the consequence of every screw up and still he’s ungrateful. Wouldn't it be wonderful to sit and chat with her for a while? Think of the history she's seen and all of the people she's met? Unfortunately, Prince Charles isn't in the best of health, next time you see a photo, look at his eyes, his hands. He and Prince William are doing a great deal to relieve the pressure on Her Majesty. Seeing her walk with such dignity, in spite of the pain she's in, is breaking my heart. The family are all supporting them, Sophie and Edward have been awesome for months now as has Catherine and Camilla (even though she's been ill too) in keeping up with all of the visits on the Royal calendar. Princess Anne makes me tired just reading about all of the visits she makes, bless her.

I'm genuinely curious why so many people dislike Harry. I don't follow them that carefully, but when they left the family it was all over the mainstream news AND social media, so of course I know the basics. I understand they didn't have to do the Oprah interview (and maybe they realize that in hindsight) but I don't blame him for wanting to leave--Meghan was being bombarded with racist comments, by both the public and even apparently the family. I'd want to leave too if my partner was being slandered on a daily basis in my home country.
