Fished Hurleston point down the rocky headland years ago and caught red gurnards. 100 yards past the lookout you can access the sandy beach but it's tricky going down the rope to get on the sand. Rays, bass, cod can be caught there but mind the boulders at the water's edge. Primary a low water mark once it reaches the boulders 😮😮
I fished Bossington three times last year and had geared up with rotten bottoms. The first session I lost lead after lead even stepping up to 20lb weak link. The next two sessions I fished normal rigs and pulled out most times only losing 5 rigs over the two sessions. All we had was huss and conger and it was very slow with less than ten fish per five hour session. It's a fabulous venue but patience is needed.
Nice video with good venue information. Nice drone footage too. Shame the better fish never showed but looks like you had steady action keeping you busy. Thanks for sharing
Nice job Alan, I also find the frozen rag works just fine, better than wasting it. Nothing worse than the shelter blowing over, hope you didn’t have to run too far to catch it! Take it easy buddy 😎👍
Good to see Bossington again Al, love the drone footage. If you like hiking you should climb up over Hurlstone for some really dramatic scenery, well worth it.
Hi Alan, great video. I've been enjoying the two hook clip down rigs too, needed a solution for rough ground, so tried an up & over plus a pulley pennel combined. The pulley needs to be longer than the u&o for it to work. If a fish takes the pulley snood, it pulls the u&o off the bottom and out of danger 👍. A nice little session with hardly any tackle loss which is a bonus. Tight lines till next time 😊
Thanks for watching

A tough venue for terminal losses and them stones does my legs in. 😢
Thanks for watching , it's one of my favourite channel venues - always a chance of a decent fish there
