In all fairness HotD season 1 released their final trailer a month from the premiere date. This was always going to happen again for season 2 despite what Rings did.

Don't forget about Warhammer 40k coming around the corner, yet it's now stalled due to Amazon trying to change Henry Cavil's plans to uphold lore, canon and story for the fanbase while Amazon demands the show only pander to 3% of the populace instead! While Amazon is forcing the soft bigotry of low expectations upon society, they are met with majority push back and mockery. GoT continuance is welcomed because the forced "pol culture" and "representation" is a detriment to escapism. People want to relax and enjoy something, not be lectured to and berated with modern era societal issues.

The problem is that they introduced that fan fiction Sauron last season. Now they seem to be introducing Annatar, "Lord of Gifts". This doesn’t work with Tolkien’s timelines. As Annatar, Sauron was “hot” or at least Elvish. When Númenor was destroyed Sauron’s spirit escaped and he could no longer take a beautiful form. However, once again the fan fiction of last season had Sauron already on Numenor so the lore is all screwed up even if they try to correct their mistakes from last season.
And it’s the same actor I think so it’s not much of a disguise

After watching the Lord of the Rings AND the Hobbit movies, Rings of Power looks very bland by comparison. Whereas the trailer for House of the Dragon IMMEDIATELY had me hooked within the first few seconds

So far, I have not watch House of The Dragon. I'll watch it one day, if things stay positive, and reviews keep saying that it's worth it, but not until it's actually done. After GOT, I don't have any interest in starting another show, only to be completely let down at the end.

Remember, the House of Dragon show runner was employed by Amazon on a Conan project before Amazon studio executives cancelled his Conan project, ended his employment, and went off in a woke direction. Then his series DESTROYED Amazon’s series.
For the House of the Dragon's showrunner, it's a form of revenge against Amazon for cancelling his Conan the Barbarian project. For Amazon themselves, it's karma for trying to make Tolkien's work into their own "Game of Thrones". Why watch Amazon's Game of Thrones rip-off when you can watch actual Game of Thrones.

Like Velma, I don’t get how ROP got another season.
Simple: those seasons were ALREADY IN PRODUCTION before the first episodes even dropped. For Velma, Kneon has explained this a dozen times already: Animation companies require a minimum number of episodes; they had to make Season 1 and Season 2 at the same time to meat that quota. As for Rings of Prime, the production schedule meant they had to be well into production of Season 2 before Season 1 was released in order to keep up with their schedule. Plus, Amazon is CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED to five seasons; they could break the contract if the losses were great enough, but lets face it: they'd rather spin it as a win in hopes SOMEBODY will watch it rather than admit defeat.
Because they’re idiots.

First up. Never watched GoT, or HoTD. But I do remember tonnes of people always talking about GoT and hyping it up when it was still airing and almost everyone was watching it. HoTD not so much Nobody really talked about that show much where im from.

I honestly don’t think the RoP trailer looked bad. I mean it told me nothing about the story, but if I had enjoyed season 1, which I found difficult to finish, I would expect to like S2 by that trailer.
