The grey one looks like an evolution of the Bajoran Militia costume.
It amuses me that Cockings keeps saying "replicatable matter", which is tougher to pronounce than the actual term used on the show, "programmable matter".

TECHNICAL FEEDBACK : Sam is a bit to loud and Stuart is a bit to low - I think you gave headphones users a shock if they turned the volume up to hear Stuart and got the head blown off by Samuel.
It's basically Flash Gordon's outfit.
Aside from the gold waistband, and again, keeping pips, I like it. Simple, clean, crisp.... Maybe lose the front pant stripes. And black pants would look better.
I'm kind of not keen on the epaulettes, but it is a very admiral thing, so it makes sense.
Im still undecided on this uniform .50/50
Nice uniform discussion, year 3230 as fantastic space age has too many space suit types. If time moving to 35th century, some jump suits are kind of gel-like materials, pretty cool.
It reminds of mass effect 3 admiral hackett attire even though commander shepard does wear one

i'd like to see a photoshop of what it would look like if the tunic below the paneling (chest level) was black. that would be a nice nod to the "golden age" of trek uniforms
The grey one's neck also resembles the Stalin era Soviets.
I like the visual of having a middle or a side zip up looking coat rather than the weird Johnny Jumper overalls look, or Mountie colors too.
I HATED the red admirals as worn by Burnham. I LOVED the captains uni as worn by Jr

The gold one seems more costumey on the shoulders, sillier, but the Disco ones shoulders look more realistic.

When they went to the future..... I DO LIKE THE NEW UNIFORMS.

It has admiral pips, admiral bars on shoulders and bars on cuffs... to many rank identifiers. I'm not sure I like it tbh, too much going on.

Discovery Season 5 has not been a topic of interest to most Trek fans.
We cover each new show, even if shows like Prodigy/Lower Decks/Discovery don't get the views we would want, we cover them properly and in the detail that only Trekyards does.
We are excited to cover non new Trek Content and see our viewership return to where it was before :)

I love the swings and roundabouts of the Trek community, back in my day Voyager destroyed canon at every opportunity but all is forgiven now that people can hate on the newer show. XD
@sw-gs I know you'd like to go with the narrative that I'm just negative for the sake of it, but I've watched and loved all trek. Every series and movie I've found something to enjoy in it. And boy I triiiiied to feel the same way about this show but there literally just is nothing fun about watching all of time and space revolve around Michae, on of the least likeable characters in all of trek.
