I had this lens for about a month or so. The images this lens can produce are absolutely superb, better than the Sony FE 50mm f1.8 I daresay. The build quality is also great considering the lens is made out of aluminum instead of composite plastic. Autofocus also very snappy and rarely miss.
However, the downsides made me sold this lens. Like you pointed out the AF-MF switch is VERY easy to toggle by accident, my first copy actually arrived with it broken and I had to send it back. The sheer size and weight of this thing is ridiculous considering that this lens isn't f1.4.
I really wish they make a MKII of this lens in the future with a better AF-MF switch and either a smaller size or make it f1.4. Then the Sony FE 50mm f1.8 will truly be obsolete.

I have owned, and tested, this lens, for one month. Say it: The build quality is mediocre. By comparison, Meike AF lens had HORRIBLE build quality, and I returned it for Amazon refund. The 7Artisans lens (on my APS-C a6700 camera) serves as a cheap portrait-focal-length lens, perfect for selfies taken when camera is mounted atop tripod. The key here is that such selfies are slowly and carefully taken, with a need to keep my facial features tack sharp. The lens fulfills this requirement, for only ~$200 USD. But otherwise, the focusing ability of this lens is reprehensible. In manual focus mode, for horizon photos I must carefully use the focusing aids provided by the expensive camera, because this lens will focus well beyond infinity if I simply through the focusing ring to its stopping position. And AF is inconsistent, unstable, and s-l-o-w. Weird but effective. Just like the moderator of this UA-cam, I like to see what a cheap lens can accomplish... and the results are QUIRKY.

I actually got it much cheaper than the Sony lens and I like the lens. The only two drawback I find with this lens is ofcourse the AF MF switch and it gives a lot of lens flare when exposed to direct light or even shooting against artificial lights and the flares are not as beautiful and can sometimes do some ridiculous ghosting on the image or video
