Please continue your LOVEBITES journey to discover their various styles of metal and also some true masterpieces! Here some information about the band: LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. hello petri. this band has no peer! they do not know how to write bad, stale or mediocre songs. and their performances are already legendary. you won´t find a band, which can bring so much joy, fun, energy, power and talent to the stage than these ladies. there is also a connection to finland: from the first EP on all their albums and blurays were mastered and mixed by mika jussila and mikko karmila at finvox studios/helsinki who already workes for CoB, nightwish, amorphis (!) and many more. my suggestion for the next one : "the hammer of wrath" live from the same show from their official channel.

@@petrikuikka I will be attending days 2, 3 and 4 of ProgPower. Each of those days will have 6 bands in an indoor venue with a capacity of 700 in stadium seating and another 300 standing in front of the stage. The last three bands on the 3rd day are Soen, Lovebites (US debut) and Amorphis. Days 3 and 4 had to be purchased as a package and sold out in about 24 hours. Tickets still remain for days 1 and 2, which are being sold separately. The only bad news so far is that Scar Symmetry had to cancel their appearance which was scheduled for day 2. I hope the replacement band is announced soon.

Lovebites History :
Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in
2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany
2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain.
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

LOVEBITES. They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play ECLECTIC METAL. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM, heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, progressive pieces and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, A&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, also she is a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, she loves her pets and Star Wars
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, does songwriting for a few songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Best drummer in the universe (IMO), wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food

Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop

Not the typical start with this fabulous band. „We the united“ is the band‘s and fans‘ anthem, they mostly play as their show closer, as you‘ve seen in this video. Please continue your LOVEBITES journey to discover their various styles of metal and also some true masterpieces!
Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. It debuted on #4 at iTunes album charts worldwide and #1 at metal charts in 8 countries.
Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. Also „Stand and deliver“ was voted on #15 for best metal song of the year. What are fantastic results for a still relatively unknown and foreign band.
LOVEBITES finished touring Japan last October. They will be on a WORLD TOUR this year. First dates are already announced for this summer. They will appear at several festivals. For example they will play on main stage at Hellfest/France, one of the biggest metal festivals in Europe (with 60k tickets sold). Now we (the wolfpack) are all waiting for more dates to be announced …

hello petri. this band has no peer! they do not know how to write bad, stale or mediocre songs. and their performances are already legendary. you won´t find a band, which can bring so much joy, fun, energy, power and talent to the stage than these ladies. there is also a connection to finland: from the first EP on all their albums and blurays were mastered and mixed by mika jussila and mikko karmila at finvox studios/helsinki who already workes for CoB, nightwish, amorphis (!) and many more. my suggestion for the next one : "the hammer of wrath" live from the same show from their official channel.

Oh I agree. As it is I'm traveling down from Yorkshire for the gig. If I'd known you could afford them in a 350 capacity venue I'd have booked them in one of my local venues myself. @@gordonnottsfinest180
LOVEBITES are probably THE most musically talented metal band on the planet - especially when Miyako's "concert-level" piano skills are considered.

@@petrikuikka I will be attending days 2, 3 and 4 of ProgPower. Each of those days will have 6 bands in an indoor venue with a capacity of 700 in stadium seating and another 300 standing in front of the stage. The last three bands on the 3rd day are Soen, Lovebites (US debut) and Amorphis. Days 3 and 4 had to be purchased as a package and sold out in about 24 hours. Tickets still remain for days 1 and 2, which are being sold separately. The only bad news so far is that Scar Symmetry had to cancel their appearance which was scheduled for day 2. I hope the replacement band is announced soon.
