WOW!! This would be a really easy haircut to maintain for an older person who still wants to look "on trend:. Very cute, but still "edgy"!
Hey Anthony, Happy New Year! Thanks for your comment. I couldn't agree more, it's definitely a fun versatile look for our more mature clients.
@@HairByJamesAnnabel how about immature GenXers, lol. ;)
Even a guy with nearly 40 yrs behind the chair loves watching your educational videos. They're quick, informative, and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Wow, thank you so much Steven. Really appreciate your feedback and support.
Loving how you flip your fingers before cutting, i can't wait to try this technique. Thanks for sharing this shake tutorial James
You are so welcome!
this shake haircut rocks. Awesome work James
Thanks so much!
Awesome haircut James, loves it
Thank you so much
cool shape
couldn't agree more
Thank you
I am binge watching all of your videos, and am learning so much! Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome Anna. I really appreciate your feedback and support. Keep up your awesome work.
This is so timely. I had a teenage guest ask for this TikTok haircut, and I did my absolute best to create the shape with what little knowledge and experience I have, but ultimately it wasn’t something I could replicate. I got the shape, to a degree, but I left enough hair for her to get it redone by someone with more experience, but this definitely has helped me see how it’s done, and visualize why it’s done that way. Thank you so much!
Just one question: what is channel cutting? Do you have an existing video explains it?
Hey Beau, awesome to hear you gave it your best shot attempting to cut the wolf cut. Confidence is our first step to success, next step is education and practice 🙌🏽. My previous shag tutorials are another example of how you could approach the haircut next time.
I have used channel cutting in the fringe area on my latest Pixie haircuts.
I will create a tutorial sometime soon focusing on personalising / refining your haircuts which will include channel cutting. Keep up the awesome work Beau
35 years behind the chair, still luv learning. You are spectacular
Wow, thank you!
It is mesmerising to watch you work. You're the Mozart of hair, lol.
I have described my hair as "rock chick" for decades, never heard anyone else say that until now! Love it!
Wow, thank you! Rock on!
I wonder… is a shake essentially the same as the shag? 🤷🏻♂️
A man could easily wear this cut… yes??
In any event, your styling is impeccable!!!!! 🤜🏼🤛🏽
Hey Gabriel, yes your right a shake is a shag and also very similar to the wolf cut. I'm currently doing an advanced coarse at Sassoon's London, we have been cutting classic and modern shake haircuts. Stay tuned for future tutorials show casing other variations of this haircut style. And this haircut is incredible for men, i have a few clients that rock this look. Thanks again for watching and supporting my channel.
So smart!! My son is in a long hair/metal band hair phase. He needs shape and intention. 👏👏
This is exactly the cut I want! My hairdresser always chops my length too much and says because I want the hair framing face choppy he cant leave it long. i know that's not true I've been cutting it myself as a result and will try this method next time. Nothing beats a great stylist but hard to find one with your great skill.
Thanks for your comment, let me know how you go
@@HairByJamesAnnabel I recently tried this haircut on myself using pharmacy hair cutting scissors. I had your video playing while i did it and it turned out pretty good. Not as good as a real professional hairdresser would do but not too bad since cutting your own hair is harder and i don't have sharp professional scissors. i think if i did i may cut my fingers though. Overall I was very satisfied how it turned outlooks good. I had a hard time cutting hair when flipping my fingers so didn't do that. thank you for this video and your clear directions.
@@ps_nyisgone awesome work. Hopefully next haircut you cut it as well as I do 👏🏼👏🏼
I spent Sunday studying your videos and i discovered the VSasoon Shake!it's Always worth listening to and following you,you are a small mine of gifts for us:thanks James❤

@@paolamarconi2947 Amazing! Have a great day
Beautiful
Thank you so much Ivona 😊
This is a late 70’s early 80’s haircut and it does resemble the early 70’s short shag!!
I absolutely love this 70's vibe
You are AMAZING 😍 love this haircut!!!!!
Thank you so much!!
I’ve always cut my own hair because when o go to a salon they always either cut to much or do a cut I don’t like . I don’t know if it’s that they don’t know how too cut a layered shag or one you have explained. I love the cut but like too keep the ends long and short on top . I wear my hair high on the top from front to back most the time. I don’t look good with a flat parted top. So I guess you would call this a long shag and sort on top. I have naturally wavy curly hair . I can wear straight or curly so I love this cut . Thank you I just hope I can achieve myself. Here I go.
Thank you so much 😀
Fantastic
Thank you so much 😀

Amazing! Can't wait to hear how you go! Have fun
Can we make just the same haircut with such layers without bending fingers like you do? I sincerely don' t understand for what purpose You've done that.please explaine
Hey. Yes you can cut this haircut without bending the fingers. Bending the fingers helps to encourage the hair to flip or curve up. It creates more graduation in the perimeter of the haircut.
I just started with you you do an amazing work easy to follow ❤
Please let me know what kind and size combs you’re using
Welcome to my channel Samera Khoshaba, I'm using combs from YS Parks Length: 189mm

Hey Iman, thank you 😊
👍❤️
Thank you Lenka
I would call this a shag haircut. Never heard of shake. 😮 ok just heard you say it’s “similar to the shag…”
Hey! The shake is an old school Sassoon haircut. I'm not sure if it was the original shag. Pretty much the same thing. I think the Wolfcut is the new shag. lol
We called that a mushroom in the 70s
Thats so cool, i may have to bring the mushroom back lol
@@HairByJamesAnnabel being it! I rocked it. But give me some credit.
I'm actually thinking about getting this one you posted. Wish you were closer. 😎
