Love love this, each layer peaks the wall the way to the end. It's pieces like this that makes me want to do them over and over again. Nothing but total eye candy. Thanks for sharing this, it never get old. ❤️👍🎨🖌 my imagination is going crazy in finding subitutes in my art room. 😻

Pirate music and mechanical dragonflies -an unusual combination! It's a pleasure to see the layers being gradually built up.

I couldn't sleep one night, and woke up at 1AM - found this on YT - and loved it.
I have a lot of these supplies in my Stash...and lots of things my mother had in her vintage items...and it's given me idea to begin a Creative Process! Like, I found a whole carrying case full of broken pieces of jewelry, and knick knacks, keys...I mean, it's a treasure trove of history too!
I think Creatively...we all find our Process...and steps to add or subtract. There's steps and then There's Steps! hahaha
    Thank you
    Juliana

I've watched this now about 3 times. I get something useful after each viewing. Today, it was mixing the 'paint/ink' with glossy accents! Genius. Gotta try that. I'm going to do a steampunk canvas....soon. Like I tell my grandchildren: practice, practice, practice!

I love a project where you really DO get your hands dirty....that is a lovely piece of art! I liked how you used the transparent paper with your stamped image on it - sometimes I'll emboss mine with a textured embossing powder.

Wow. I'm so lucky this video popped up when I was searching for something else. First, when I saw 12 min I groaned because so many videos are 10 min of hearing about someone's kids, etc. But this blew me away. I love dragonflies, I'm an artist on the inside but haven't been able to actually create anything very imaginative. This video was like 50 art lessons in one. I really appreciate the closeups of the detail in your techniques, the sharing of the products you used, etc. I especially liked the layering of the different techniques - each one seems to add a subtle depth and complexity. And i bet in person that is a piece that one could look at from different angles and see many different things. And the creativity -- I could watch this over and over. Thanks for creating such a beautiful piece and taking the time to share with everyone.

4-5 years ago, when I was 10 years old I've watched this and I was like "Whoah" "It's so beautiful" "how someone can do such an amazing job like this". Today I was just scrolling some yt videos about canvases blah blah blah and somehow it popped up in my recommendeds I was like whoah it can't be that video . And here I am peacefully enjoying and watching it again after so many years.

Besos.

Very cool! If I may make a suggestion: when you do close-ups as you're holding the project, perhaps move it slower. I found it a little hard to focus and take in the details with you moving it around so much, and I'd really love to see your art up close! :)

Sheri Fisher - i was gonna ask the same thing. normally i guess if you havent firmly decided what is going where... you'd put them on incase you decided to put less or change where tje dragonflies were going. In "this" case, becuz it was for UA-cam im pretty sure she already knew. So i wondered the same

Nothing to do with the technique. It's the lack of using a say, sand for the original background, then layering for depth. Just when I thought, "Ah! Doing it here with gold gears on the wings, with red or orange highlights!" A+ in originality, C in use of color theory.

Beautiful work! It seems you are having to answer a lot of "product" questions. Sometimes 3 or 4 times over. Why not list the items up front that are used and save yourself answering the same questions over and over again? I would love to see such a list at the beginning and the end of each tutorial. Keep up the great work!
