Love love this, each layer peaks the wall the way to the end. It's pieces like this that makes me want to do them over and over again. Nothing but total eye candy. Thanks for sharing this, it never get old. ❤️👍🎨🖌 my imagination is going crazy in finding subitutes in my art room. 😻
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching :-)
Stunning how Beautiful it All turned out
Thank You for Sharing with All of Us
Pirate music and mechanical dragonflies -an unusual combination! It's a pleasure to see the layers being gradually built up.
Every few minutes I think "this can't get any better" then you add another layer of awesome. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. You are a true credit to humanity.
Great artwork. I really appreciate your presentation. There is no boring chit chat. You show us the products used and the techniques. It was a pleasure to watch!
What a beautiful concept, and flawlessly executed too!
I couldn't sleep one night, and woke up at 1AM - found this on YT - and loved it.
I have a lot of these supplies in my Stash...and lots of things my mother had in her vintage items...and it's given me idea to begin a Creative Process! Like, I found a whole carrying case full of broken pieces of jewelry, and knick knacks, keys...I mean, it's a treasure trove of history too!
I think Creatively...we all find our Process...and steps to add or subtract. There's steps and then There's Steps! hahaha
Thank you
Juliana
Juliana Leo Glad you liked it. Have fun creating :-)
Awesomeness!
I've watched this now about 3 times. I get something useful after each viewing. Today, it was mixing the 'paint/ink' with glossy accents! Genius. Gotta try that. I'm going to do a steampunk canvas....soon. Like I tell my grandchildren: practice, practice, practice!
Just goes to show that art is limitless.
Yup - we don't need no stinking brushes!! :)
I love a project where you really DO get your hands dirty....that is a lovely piece of art! I liked how you used the transparent paper with your stamped image on it - sometimes I'll emboss mine with a textured embossing powder.
Thank you. Glad you liked it :-)
You may have done this 11 years ago, but it is timeless!
have been sewing quilts which I am not too great at; this type of art has always been my strong suit - being creative ~ where mistakes can be made into the piece of art; so thankful to have found this / love your tutorials
truly enjoyed watching this!!! beautiful art and ideas!
Thank you :-)
lovely..........................thanks for sharing........
Thank you :-)

Wow. I'm so lucky this video popped up when I was searching for something else. First, when I saw 12 min I groaned because so many videos are 10 min of hearing about someone's kids, etc. But this blew me away. I love dragonflies, I'm an artist on the inside but haven't been able to actually create anything very imaginative. This video was like 50 art lessons in one. I really appreciate the closeups of the detail in your techniques, the sharing of the products you used, etc. I especially liked the layering of the different techniques - each one seems to add a subtle depth and complexity. And i bet in person that is a piece that one could look at from different angles and see many different things. And the creativity -- I could watch this over and over. Thanks for creating such a beautiful piece and taking the time to share with everyone.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it :-)
See? This is what I am talking about! To be an amazing artist, you don't need to be good at drawing, just have the right materials and creativity! This is really something you should proud of! Well done!
i love the abstract of this its a amzing and the colors work so well XD
The most beautiful thing i have see in a while. Thanks for making my day. Sub
4-5 years ago, when I was 10 years old I've watched this and I was like "Whoah" "It's so beautiful" "how someone can do such an amazing job like this". Today I was just scrolling some yt videos about canvases blah blah blah and somehow it popped up in my recommendeds I was like whoah it can't be that video . And here I am peacefully enjoying and watching it again after so many years.
Besos.
Oh my god , I'm studying Spanish for and year now and I'm very surprised that you responded to me. I don't have the courage to write you in Spanish . But I am very grateful that you have written this to me 🧡
Un saludo desde Dupnitsa Bulgaria
This is beautiful. The fact that he can just envision that and put it on a canvas and re-create reality like that is just fascinating. I've spent my whole life trying to be unique and I can never be more unique than this guy. So beautiful, so detailed, so perfect.
I absolutely love this so different amazing picture ...WoW!
Thanks :-)
As an adult and seeing it thru my eyes...I loved the painting before you added the lines.....idk why...LOL I just loved it without those lines.....it seemed too busy after that. Still, its pretty to me. So creative!!!!!
This way you made art a very fine feeling rather than just skill. I appreciate your effort. Thanks for sharing such beauty.
I had forgotten all about polymer clay until I watched this video. What a great war to make mixed media 3D. As a previous commenter said...You fascinate me!
Glad you liked it :-)
That was awesome!
Another masterpiece! The colors are so rich and enchanting. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Very much appreciated :-)
Wow! This is absolutely amazing! You're a total inspiration! :)
+Sir Ravenstorm Thank you :-)
The most truly mixed media piece that wasn’t straight up a diy or scraps. I like it.
This was the first channel I've ever watched on UA-cam.
HI Rach........... i decided to sit down and rewatch this video over coffee this morning... Just love it as much as the first time... the music and everything... Sure do miss you around UA-cam... Your artistic and imaginative presence is much needed theses days...

I absolutely love this piece of art & the process to create it. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago I first came across it & its still popping up & I'm watching it again. It has to be my favourite crafting video on UA-cam. Thank you Rach0113
the fact that what we watched in 12 minutes, probably took longer than 6 hours amazes me, this is gorgeous, love the colours and everything about it 💕
+Indre Domi Thank you :-)
Absolutlely stunning! TFS and inspiring! Hugs, Kristina
CraftyPaws Thank you very much :-)
I can't wait to try this technique out. I love the colors and everything about this picture!
This video was the first mixed media I ever saw that started my scrap booking career. Thank you for inspiration...
I don’t know if you still look at this but it was beautiful. I loved the layering, the different products used and the final outcome. Quite the adventure and a beautiful piece of work to finish with. Thank you for sharing.
truly amazing and very informative, especially the materials used and how to use them ..
Wow I am loving this....always looking for more ideas for my art. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely gorgeous canvas!!! Very inspiring work. Loved seeing your process and loved the blue/green/gold... stunning!
not an art style i typically engage in but watching your process is so inspiring
Reminds me of my grandpa and grandma. He was a spy that owned a clock workshop, and she was russian much younger than him they had great chemistry and love for eachother... Rip
wow gurl this is amzing, thank u sm for inspiring me,!!!!
Don't know where you are now but wanted to tell you that this is the first mixed media video I watched on YT. Fell in love immediately.
Beautiful-really cool technique! You know, I have never considered using molds and then building upon them with color. You are a smart cookie! Thank you for sharing you awesome process and heart with us!
Absolutely stunning! I'm new to mixed media and got so many ideas and inspiration from the video. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching and kindly commenting :-)

it was just beautiful to watch an artists mind at work. just stunning... ill be back for more!
lovely, amazing.... I love it.
Wow thats amazing
Gorgeous colors. Especially loved the dragonfly molds!!! Thank you!
How gorgeous. So soothing to watch this work of art. Thank you for sharing!!!
That's beautiful! I love the colors and dragonflies.
This is beautiful! I saw something like this (but not as good) made into a book cover and wanted to make it so much, but had no idea how to, so thank you for showing me! :)
The music makes me want some pizza or a big plate of spaghetti or lasagna!!! Pass the garlic bread! LOL! Love the video!!! I'm gonna have to give this a try!! Thanks for sharing!
Right up my alley, just the type of crazy art I love to make and I appreciate what you've done. AND, you use all of my favorite products too. A bit spendy but they're worth the end result. I love Ranger! Beautiful finished product Rach
Very cool! If I may make a suggestion: when you do close-ups as you're holding the project, perhaps move it slower. I found it a little hard to focus and take in the details with you moving it around so much, and I'd really love to see your art up close! :)
I absolutely love this piece. I do have a question: why bother pasting the clock deli papers on the canvas when you wind up covering them all up with other materials. In the end I could not see them very well.
Sheri Fisher - i was gonna ask the same thing. normally i guess if you havent firmly decided what is going where... you'd put them on incase you decided to put less or change where tje dragonflies were going. In "this" case, becuz it was for UA-cam im pretty sure she already knew. So i wondered the same
I suppose its for special shading, if it makes sense
It's about building layers of texture. You can still see them in the finished project in the top corners and I think it adds to the overall design. Really love this piece!
To give it depth?
I thoroughly enjoyed this video - thanks so much for making it, showing the products up close, and revealing each step up close as you go along!
You're welcome :-)
I found this so amazing that I have ordered some of the things to do this, & will purchase the others elsewhere. I told the company that I ordered them from that they could thank the man who did the Steampunk video on FB!
I almost started to cry it was so beautiful♡
Great job! I have been wanting to do bottle art for a while now and you have inspired me on how to approach it. Thank You!
2 broke girls got me turned onto steampunk fashion from one of their episodes! Steampunk rules! Sweet video and might I say, a remarkable work of art brought to life by mine, truly, RachO113! You NAILED it!
Thank you :-)
I've watched loads of mixed media projects over these past few weeks and I've watched this 5times it's my fave one! I want it
Glad you like it :-)
This is a beautifully creative video. I would love to try this technique on a large scale. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice work! Thanks for video.
Thank you :-)
I can't belive what "some persons" can create!!! Lovely!!! Greetings from Roumania!!!♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful result. Lot of patience needed for executing such type of creative work.
To be honest, didn't think I was gonna like this...I was like what is she thinking?? But of course by the end it's gorgeous, love it!
+Teresa Kannenberg lol, Thanks Teresa :-)
Very cool!!! Thanks for sharing!!
+Fischer Holly Thanks very much :-)
AWESOME!!! Excellent job! 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Not only do you create fantastic art, you have the BEST videos. Other You Tube art posters need to stand up and take note. Please keep posting.
Thank you :-)
why there're so many dislikes, this is so nice
+Le Anh Quoc Thanks :-)
Le Anh Quoc that are people who don't understand art and craft. But when you can make such beautiful arts than you are gifted. Love it!!!!!
Nothing to do with the technique. It's the lack of using a say, sand for the original background, then layering for depth. Just when I thought, "Ah! Doing it here with gold gears on the wings, with red or orange highlights!" A+ in originality, C in use of color theory.
her finish the paining w/ only paint on her fingers is true talent right there
I've just recently started with mix media. When I watched this video, I got so excited to try ALL the techniques you did. Thank you so much for posting this!
You're welcome. Glad you liked it :-)
Thank you very much for your video!Very inspiring,I love it since my school days to mix different materials like leaves, feathers, pieces of metal or broken mirrors....very good nice insprirating....wonderful!!!Greetings from Susanne Hamburg/Germany💚✍️👏👍
the music and artwork makes me feel like im in paris
Music annoyed me muted it
Musette
very nice art and beautiful Russian music.
It was perfect before the dragonflies were added! I loved that alone. The end piece is great too, but I liked the part that was covered up the most. Very cool to watch the process!
Very out of the box, love the creative fun that went into this piece....
Seu trabalho simples e lindo ,amei❤💚💜💙💛🍄👍👍👍👍
+VILMA SOUZA Thank you :-)
I would describe this as steampunk style
Thank you so much for this video!!! You have no idea what you ve done for me!! No idea!!!!!
That was so much fun to watch. Amazing! I'm gonna have a good day tomorrow now. Dragonflies are lucky for me xx
wow this is gorgeous you are an artist. do you have a tutorial for a cross
Hermoso trabajo, me encantó.😃
Sweetest intriguing detail. Almost need a magnifying glass to catch every intricate charm. I was introduced to this concept while at work one day and thought of its sometimes wild, gypsy, and sci-fi hobo features.
Interesting way of looking at it, thanks for watching :-)
Yes the clothing too is intriguing to me. The steam punk is so creative is there a tutorial? It reminds me of going back into time in a time machine and it's just a timeless relic of the art craft in my opinion. Simply beautiful, complex, and mind bending at times.
This video just totally blew my mind. Amazing!
Beautiful :-)
very beautiful art
Thank you :-)
Wonderful! Inspiring! Mesmerizing! Camera and editing, too! Brava!! Do you get tired of her such praise? Well done.
My thoughts:
0:00 let's just watch it
1:25 Ok nice background
3:43 wow, that fits very well
4:25 here i was like, WTF is the artist doing
06:24 WOW JUST WONDERFUL
11:10 very creative
at least, just wonderful
Beautiful work! It seems you are having to answer a lot of "product" questions. Sometimes 3 or 4 times over. Why not list the items up front that are used and save yourself answering the same questions over and over again? I would love to see such a list at the beginning and the end of each tutorial. Keep up the great work!
Doesn't like sharing.
Gorgeous. .....
If possible please list the name of the material used in the comment.
Thank you
That was amazing! The texture and colors are spectacular Thank you for sharing ❤️
That is beautiful! I love the layering of textures and colors!!! You made it seem so easy, but I know you've got to have a special eye to decide on the colors and arrangement! So lovely again! I want to see more!!!
