When I was 14 years old I also was hit with a indirect lightning strike. It was in a West Virginia mountain side. I was gathering the cattle heading to the barn bare footed. It started raining pretty hard. I got under a big oak tree, I had heard no thunder at all, All of a sudden there was a bright flash. I awoke about 10 minutes later and 25 ft downhill from the tree. I felt like a burnt slice of bread. Both of my feet had holes where the lightning came out to ground. My right shoulder has a burn mark when it went in. I had red streaks down by back and legs. I was in pain and couldn't even stand is I were to get up. After about 30 minutes my dad came looking for me with a horse and wagon. He and my brother got me into the wagon heading for home 1 1/4 miles away. To this day I still have bad headaches and get really nervous during storms. These boys are lucky. I think the size of the tree may have saved their lives. I hope they will be ok with no side effects.

1:12 Oh sh**! Is that Reverend Henry Kane? 😂
(It's a Poltergeist reference. Look it up and laugh with me.)
