For a real treat, you should watch "23" live at Teatro Metropolitan. Pau sings lead and it's her song, very emotional. There's a lyric video but no OMV. Her soft voice is very different and it will make you cry.
One thing I love about this song is that Pau does a GREAT vocal here and a person might find themselves thinking "wow, Pau is so great I'm surprised she doesn't sing lead on more of their songs" and then as a reminder Dany just WAILS at the end of the song and I think, "oh yeah, that's why", lol. They are BOTH great singers!

The official music video that you absolutely have to experience is "XXI Century Blood", the title track from their first album released in 2017. This award-winning music video is something you might expect to see at an independent film festival.
They made a mini movie for their first album XXI CENTURY BLOOD that won a lot of movie festival AWARDS .
Dust to Dust is the intro song on DPA/TW's "Queen of the Murder Scene" concept album (aka QOTMS)... it is inviting you in to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul...
QOTMS is one of those albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well...
as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see it as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹

At least one song has been done by a School of Rock team. Unfortunately I've not been able to find it recently. Possibly it was removed. The song was Sinister Smiles.
But QOTMS would be good for a team to tackle. I'm sure it will happen at some point.

There is NOBODY out there like The Warning right now !!!
It’s the prologue which starts at the end of the story. We are hearing the ghost of the protagonist speaking to us at her funeral. Then the subsequent tracks begin to tell the sorrowful tale. Written when they were in middle school.
I you want to see Pau "unplugged" check out "Narcisista" and "Revenant" from this same concert. Your jaw will drop twice more. As an aside, the girls are so comfortable performing together that whenever one of them makes the slightest mistake one of them will smile at the other to let them know that they heard it. Ale does this to Dany in the second time through of the chorus. Dany places emphasis on the word "Dust" when that is supposed to happen on the third time through. Dany realizes it and casually looks over at Ale. About five seconds or so when the camera pick up on the both of them, Ale does smile at Dany as if to say, "I heard that!"
Dany and Pau have joked a little how Ale is the stage manager because she never makes a mistake and keeps perfect time, oh and she happens to have perfect pitch, but Ale admits she needs to practice it more.
Cool fictional story, no need to make shit up, this is impressive enough. It’s stage improvisation and there’s nothing to say that any mistakes or “knowing glances” were made. If you have an interview or blurb somewhere that details this then I’d like a cited source but I think you just came up with some charming story to explain away something that bands do all the time.
@@TJvigilante So Edgy...I've seen it twice myself at live shows from 4 rows back on the floor, enough so they had to stop song and start over. Not fictional....but we get it you're cool.

For official music videos from The Warning, I highly recommend "Choke", "Disciple", "Evolve", "Martirio" (in Spanish), and "Error". They are all incredible, as are all of their videos. For a slightly older masterpiece (emphasis on "masterpiece"), check out their video for 21st Century Blood, that they recorded close to 7 years ago. (It released on Mar 27, 2017)
What's imressive to me is when Dany is holding the note during the outro, she's doing a single string riff. I dunno about y'all, but that ain't easy having your fingers do an intracate run, keeping it acurate and in time while belting out a flawless, fluctuating note, it's like rubbing your tummy and patting your head.....not easy at all! Ty it sometimes!

Pau not only drums and sings but she has a computer next to her that she coordinates the light show and the backing tracks. She must have at least quad processors in her head to take care of all that without getting mixed up. She also is the main lyricist for the band bringing lyrics or at least the song idea to her sisters. Then Ale and Dany fill in their parts and/or help with the lyrics.

Dust to Dust is the prologue to their second album Queen of the Murder Scene, which is a concept album/rock opera about a young woman’s descent from infatuation to obsession to madness. With Pau and Dany TW has top tier vocal ability not to mention Ale also has a good voice.
People have suggested Pau is lip syncing, nope, she practices singing while running on a treadmill.
The fact is Pau is so talented she makes my eyes water, actually they all do.
Revenant from this same show is good as well, Paulina sings main there as well.
Also narcisista. She came out from behind the kit to sing and her drum teacher Beto Romos sat in on drums.

I'm an hour late to the premier of this, and I am sure it's been said a bunch already, but if you really want to understand the lyrics of this Prologue song that sets the scene, for Queen of the Murder Scene concept album, then do the full LP in order. The next song would be Crimson Queen, sung by Dany. It is Chapter one, song one, and introduces the Queens obsession in the story line. We can guide you along, before or after each song if you choose. It's a fun journey!
You >REALLY< need to see Pau sing "23", from this same concert.. Trust me. LOL!
If you look closely at the beginning, Pau is drumming with one hand (and singing!). Maybe she was adjusting something in the back or replacing a drum stick but she does it so flawlessly that nobody notices it. I've seen this performance dozens of times and only recently noticed it! She's AMAZING!
Don't shy away from their music videos. They put a lot of time, effort, and money into making them for us to watch, they didn't make them for themselves. They are all high-quality productions and you hear nuances you don't pick up on in a live performance.
There is one reactor who does double shots. He watches an mv and then a live performance of the same song.
I don't know all the songs you've heard so far but here is a list of some music videos they've done:
XXI Century Blood (more like a mini-movie; the title track from their 1st album), Evolve (all white outfits in a white setting recorded on 16 iPhones and a drone), Choke (recorded in a light box and a pool), Martirio (this is a gorgeous video recorded in the desert), Disciple (wearing military uniforms in a factory setting), and live sessions of these songs: Z, Animosity, Choke, Evolve, and Dull Knives (from their home studio "The Warning Cave").
They also perform acoustic versions of the songs "Hunter", "Sinister Smiles", "The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade)", "Red Hands (Never Fade)".
FYI: "Dust to Dust" is from their 2nd album "Queen of the Murder Scene", a concept album that tells a story of a person who descends into madness and murder after being ignored by a person in whom she had a romantic interest. When she feels invincible and possibly unstoppable the grim reaper comes for her. So, D-to-D fits the narrative of the story, but they play it, and several other songs from the album as stand alones.
They've only played the entire QOTMS album twice, at Lunario CDMX and at Foro Didi in Monterrey, MX.
"23" from this same concert is the go to song you should react to next...now you've experienced listening to Pau do lead vocals (on a rock song), "23" shows her at her absolute finest on what she's the queen of - power ballads. Her voice is one of both fragility and strength - a total oxymoron,but it's what's she's best at doing - certainly my fave.
Great review. Yes the recorded voice in Spanish is their Manager, Rudy. If you watch the Lunario concert, the first time they played their Queen of the Murder Scene Album in it’s entirety, Rudy does the narration live, on stage.
This whole concert is even more impressive when you realize this is in Mexico City And she’s singing and drumming at the same time with that much energy at high elevation. Nuts.

Giving the finger (in Spanish) to Spanish music critics who called them culture traitors for singing in English for a world audience. Pau the drummer sings this one with a lot of passion (well, when doesn't she?).
Written by teenagers, this song does ask you to look inward at your life and the full cycle of life. Pretty heavy stuff for young girls.
Pau does the lead on several songs at this concert. Narcisista, Revenant and "23". 23 is amazing as she is rocking out on the drums and singing her heart out.

I think this song as much as any of theirs is a great introduction to just what each band member brings to the table! Ale's wicked bass lines, Pau's drumming and singing, and Dany's guitar and soaring vocals to tie it all up at the end!
I saw them in August, and both Dany and Pau are extremely charismatic and have that presence where you could feel them enter a room if you had your eyes closed.

Pau won the Drumeo 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year. She also does a lot of the writing and from my observations 25% of the lead vocals.
I almost always feel like I’m not giving Ale and Dani enough credit but I look at it like this .. Dani and Ale are once in a generation or once in a lifetime talent and that’s rare air level talent. Pau isn’t once in a generation or lifetime but instead just once.. ya just once. It’s her mastery’s of the drums yes but her voice is amazing and her stage presence when her drum teacher played “ Narcissist” was unbelievable. It looked like she was always the lead singer.

Is rock generally not your thing? If not TW seem to appeal to a subset of fans who are not normally rockers. I think it's because their music is catchy, melodic, concert friendly and with meaningful lyrics.

Regarding this song, the lyrics are an intro to a story. The album Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album, each song is part of the story and you get more context if you listen to all in order..

Thank you I think you just helped me clarify what it is about the warning that I love so much. It's the same thing that I loved about rush. I'm 61 and I'm a lifelong Rush fan in one of the things that I loved about them was that they genuinely loved each other and enjoyed playing together and enjoyed entertaining the fans. The same with these three amazing sisters.

Great reaction to one of my favorite songs, although it's almost impossible to have a favorite The Warning song. Pau is Phenomenal And Unrivaled when it comes to singing and drumming at the same time. Other drummers do it, but I have never seen anyone do it as well as she does. All three of these young women are super talented, hard-working, and dedicated, have great personalities, and stage presence. Their live performances are spectacular.
Nice reaction! Dany sings 80% of the leads, Pau does 10% and then the other 10% are shared leads. Ale every once in while will sing lead in an older song (within her range) if Dany's voice needs a rest. 💖✨🔥⚡🚀🤘🏽

An awesome song! I love it, and it's not even my favorite TW song. My top 5 would be something along the lines of Queen of the Murder Scene, Evolve, Z, Revenant, and Crimson Queen, I think. Dust to Dust certainly makes the top 10, though. All of their songs are bangers, so it's very hard to rank them.
The warning are so great I love that band, they are all so talented and such great girls and as a vocalist Dany is an awesome singer. I hope they come to Australia this year and my band can open up for them it would be an honour.

A great video from them is Martirio. The song is in Spanish one of only 2 songs they do in Spanish but the music video is awesome and really it doesn't matter if you can't understand the lyrics the song is a banger!! You can always pull up translated lyrics to read.
They have no better OMV than XXI Century Blood - few bands do tbh. The fact that they were so young when it was made is extra impressive.

This is a great performance, but usually taken out of context. The entire album, *Queen of the Murder Scene,* is a rock novel. This is the Prologue to it. It is quite literally a funeral, complete with Rudy Joffroy's sermon that we hear on a backing track here. (Rudy is their manager. He once did the sermon live, at the album debut, Live at Lunario, November, 2018.) QOTMS is a bit of a masterpiece, created by TEENAGERS. I hope by now, six months after you released this, that you've heard the whole album. It is fundamental to understanding The Warning. Pau is sort of the seminal creative force of the band for much of their output. She recently conceived, wrote, and co-directed the official music video to *Que Mas Quieres.* It is a spoof of a Mexican telenovela, or soap opera. If you have a chance, react to that! It is outrageously funny. The song is in Spanish, but the video is understandable on its own.

Those Spanish words are pre-recorded. They do use backing tracks sometimes to fill in but only to create a better sound, never to immitate or fake. As far as I know Pau has a laptop next to her drum kit with all recordings/tracks per song. She is or was using Ableton
